Never thought I'd see Legion of the Damned on 40k in 40 min! Using Black Templars rules for them is quite the inspired choice. Thanks for making this happen! Very excited to see how it goes!
that paintjob forthe legion of the damned is on fire!!!!!! unbelievable fire-effects and the different shoulder pads with different chapters is a really nice touch!!!
i went to a game with a chapter master, 4 honour guard and 3 librarians in a rhino once. te look on my opponents face when they got out and started getting to work was the funniest shtt XD
Youd be surprised what you can accomplish when you focus all your free time to a single project. He probably spent the first month and a half building them with his effects and the last 2 weeks mass painting them.
One custom army I would love to see is Necron Pirates. Imagine a number of Warriors with gold plated frame pieces. All wearing hats. Then the Overlord with a Scar like patch on one eye, with a little scarab as a parrot.
@@Mr_Kriegon imagine putting an eye patch on whichever character has only one eye... whether it's covering up the remaining eye, or off to the side as if to pretend they had two, either way, hilarious

Every damn person on this channel is such a good example of how to play a competitive game. I haven't really played 40k with anyone that was less than a joy, but rather these guys cheering for each other's good rolls, laughing at their own bad rolls, appreciating good moves...great atmosphere while I learn strategies and such that I may never have thought of. AND Legion of the Damned too!
Jeez fudge McDouble 2 months?! I cant even finish... a regular 10 person squad in 2 months. not to speak of the all the effort necessary to kitbash and paint so many miniatures. Very impressive deed!
Was at black shield tournament where he played his legion of the damned ! The models looks absolutely amazing in person ! (Hi from your chaos knight swordmaster ! Long live the blade !)
I'm imagining being part of the GSC, a tailor made amalgamation of Tyranid and humanity, happily chugging along our plan generations in the making, and the emperor's daemons are unleashed. Dang, that is a metal army, truly the emperor's wrath made manifest.
That Legion of the Damned army is very well done and that Land Raider is absolutely gorgeous. Using Black Templar rules was on the money too. Great to see!
Nick bringing in his truck, "I'm gonna take out that Land Raider!" Land Raider absolutely *roasting* the truck with overwatch. Nick: "I would like to apologize. I was unfamiliar with your game."
So seeing flame covered space marines charging at you would be scary enough, but then seeing an on fire knight appear from nowhere? That's pant staining levels of scary
This Legion of the Damned army is just insane! You did such a great job there with so much love and details...! Definetily one of the best custom armies I've ever seen!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
That was brutal goddamn RIP my GSC boios :( Scout moving the ridgerunners up to get deleted probably sealed the deal right from the get-go. I assume they had mining lasers and he really needed those mining lasers pumping into that land raider
It is. I thought I would wear it to rep one of our best local stores. Also I was on day 5 of a cross canada trip with a backpack and an army. Had minimal clean choices left
this has been something thats been bothering me for a while now, but how much are you guys resting? a lot of effort from the editors goes into each episode obviously, and i feel like my notifications almost always have at least one video from you guys. Nick still playing after a marathon stream is insane to me. JT has also been on double-duty talking over games that he's playing, like as much as i love watching, it definitely wouldnt be worth any of you losing sleep.
I can only speak as the editor of this episode, but the team gets the rest they need. Sometimes we push ourselves a bit to get content out but that is always met with rest afterwards. I am glad I get to work for a channel that respects everyones effort and values our time and rest.
Burn the heretics ! What a great army. I love seeing fully painted army but a fully converted and amazing painted army conversion is like …..well Christmas Well done. I loving seeing someone showcase their hobby love
I've always been really hesitant about getting into the tabletop because of the $ and the lack of self-confidence in my ability to do anything mildly artistic, but holy shit..those amazing LOD models are really making me think about it.
Truck of doom is such a fun move. Love to see stuff like this. Plus the Legion of the Damned is one of the most gorgeous armies I've ever seen. While it's nice to see a big Knight actually do something it was a shame Nick didn't really have much of an answer for it or the Land Raider.
I have a converted legion of the damned army that I stopped playing as most of it used the original 90s models, then GW stopped supporting first born and it was as if they gutted my army and punch me right in the heart. Seeing big channels like this feature the legion gives me hope that there i still a legion community out there and hope that one day we will see new legion models from gw or even rules outside of legends. Thank you so much for featuring this beautiful conversation army and keeping the legion alive in the hobby.
That felt like the nightmare of a match up for the Genestealer Cult. The Landraider Redeemer and the Knight Castellian are monstrous. Anyway Nick played a terrific game versus an inspired Army from Mark, and Mark played the Black Templars really well and smashed it.
lol has the 'ish' always been in the title logo and I have just never noticed it the past few months I been binge watching this channel. Noticed it on this one and it made me chuckle quite heartily.
So it's a god-machine, absolute unit of a tank and centuries-old power armoured warrior monks vs... some dudes with trucks and motorbikes. I think I know what's going to happen.
I think you have a great 40k community, but awhile back some friends and i started a local 40k group. And without any bias at all whatsoever, i can honestly say that its the best 40k group in the universe (😂).
May not fit with outrider's but pure strains are a must have in any list, and I'd double down on metamorphs for a squad of ten being led by a iconward to ger 4+ feel ni pain, 27 hits!. And brood surge too And hybrids a ten blob with mining tools, cult icon to bring back d3, primus for reroll hits, a Locus attached to give a feel no pain to thr Primus and the entire squad gets fight first
What the fuck? :O Legion of the Damned was the completely-out-of-reach paint job back then for the 10yo me. I am stocked af right now because of this AWESOME army.
Beautiful LotD army, but i feel so bad for Nick here. He hasn't won a single game with GSC so far. I loved the DOOM buss strat, but unfortunately the detachment doesn't have enough fire power to deal enough damage to bring down most armies. I really hope to see another gsc game with the new rules and maybe with the detachment coming out today, in the near future. Keep at it nick, you can do it!
Damn. And I thought my idea for making the disable swords first company was cool. Legion of the Damned just blows my noob self under the water. My idea that I thought it was gonna be really cool, is basically making the swords with custom shoulder pads, specifically their first company. The astral nights, who essentially destroyed in nephron death star by sacrificing 95% of their Legion were absorbed into the first company of the Sable swords. I wanted to give the veteran units astral night pauldrons and obsidian blades like the astral nights had. I think I have to up my game after seeing this.
Never thought I'd see Legion of the Damned on 40k in 40 min! Using Black Templars rules for them is quite the inspired choice. Thanks for making this happen! Very excited to see how it goes!
I think it's because of the melta weapons and FNP toake them feel more like The Legion of the damned. Good choice
I came thinking I was gonna see the legends units. Haga
I agree
Nick before deployment "play cagey, wait for the right moment"
Nick during scout moves "LEEEERRROYYYY...."

600 points of characters in a truck? Never change Nick!
He'd have to change quite a bit to ever get a win with GSC
The truck is weaker than the characters it's transporting.
For reference for those who don't know

That is ridiculous getting that much done in 2 months.
I’ve painted like two miniatures in the last two months so how did he paint all that
34:39 To quote my favorite cartoon character -
Genestealer Nick: "Where's the Ka-boom?! There was supposed to be an Earth-shattering Ka-boom!"
Surely putting all those points in a truck when there's a Knight Castellan on the other side can't possibly go wrong!
