Yes, I think so, too! Of course, not all dreams have to indicate that we‘re dissatisfied or need change, but they have the potential to be the beginning of something new ✨🌈.
Enjoyed this video on change - for me I took stock and added solidity to my perspective........ It takes me - grit and resilience to keep moving forward with vision, hope and optimism......... much of my feedback is negative around my successes with talking about recovery from schizophrenia, which I process as a check to see if my implementation is OK - decide to accept or reject this feedback - most often rejecting but occasionally re-frame something in the plan of action as the processes move forward....... Thanx Dr. Maika.....
Hi Malcolm! I‘m glad you enjoyed the video! What you wrote about grit and resilience sounds a lot like the change stage of perseverance and endurance. 🪴 All the best to you! 🌱
Excellent! Realy interesting. Iám trying to change my eating and excercise habits now whith the new year. But they seem to become dull and "unimportant" as time goes by.?
Oh yes, that's a common struggle with changes in health behavior. Here are some thoughts: > Stay in contact with information about how important these changes are. It doesn't have to be a whole book every time, often following a health channel/account/newsletter is enough. We need to hear over and over how important diet and exercise are, especially at the beginning when we don't experience the benefits of the change yet (because not enough time has passed). (That's completely normal, we don't usually have a “health awakening” and are suddenly completely changed. It comes slowly, step by step.) > Start with the most impactful and easy changes. Don't try to do everything at once or perfectly. Also, what's most impactful and easy is highly individual. For some people the most impactful diet change is to stop drinking alcohol, for others to avoid refined sugar, for the next person it's eating more greens, someone else benefits most by more fluid intake... The more impact a change has, the more we'll be motivated to keep it up. There's nothing less motivating than a change that seems to have no benefit, but is hard to keep up. Of course, we also need to learn to be sensitive to benefits and give them time to unfold... But that's easiest to learn with impactful changes. It is better to take a small, lasting change, than to eat healthy and exercise for a week and then fall back to our old patterns for the rest of the year... > Know that the healthier you get, the more attraction you'll feel to staying healthy and healthy habits themselves. Taking care of our health is actually really fun and satisfying and we discover that by investing into it more. The more your healthy habits grow, the more they become part of your identity and the more natural it will be for you to keep them up.
Yes, it's different in kids... their whole life is all about change & growth, every year, month and day. How flexible they are in that depends on their personality and also the experiences they make with their caretakers, how they are encouraged and supported in their growth and how they see their caretakers processing change... If kids are supported, they learn about the truth in their inner voice and to rely on that and won't have that learned response of guilt, shame or fear when it comes to following their hearts. When these kids grow up, they stay that way as adults, too. But even if someone wasn't supported like this, or only partially, we can learn to get there.

Interesting perspective, to see daydreaming as a part of change!
Yes, I think so, too! Of course, not all dreams have to indicate that we‘re dissatisfied or need change, but they have the potential to be the beginning of something new ✨🌈.
Just finished reading 'Changing for Good.' Thank you for adding valuable insights to that!'
Great coincidence! Prochaska‘s work contains lots of interesting and relevant points about change ☀️🌈.
Thanks for making video on this
I have observed following during change
Acceptance
Un learn and learn
Break patterns, overcome limiting believes
Oh yes, those are really important aspects of change! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it‘s so helpful to go through these stages with awareness 👀✨
Good luck to all who think about a change! I am very good with daydreaming, not so good with change.
Thank you for the good wishes and lots of success to you, too ✨

How is this process different in kids...? I assume they would be more flexible with change because their inner ego is less developed?
