As a Mexican my self I would say Tijuana is indeed dangerous but there are far more dangerous cities here in Mexico, like Reynosa, Zacatecas and Culiacán 😅.
As long as you walk a limited area destined for tourists Tijuana is really, really dangerous. Beware of police, the army, homeless people, street performers, and walking alone on side streets. Avoid Taxy drivers, use Uber or DiDi. Don't carry valuables on sight. Uhm... and yes, please don't cut-off any car at any point, people have died, there's not much chance for road-rage here. But... the same can be said of NYC. XD
