A P0014 Code is set when the computer (ECM/PCM) has detected a difference in the camshaft position angle and the actual camshaft position angle.
The ‘B’ indicates the exhaust camshaft.
Faulty VVT (Variable Valve Timing) can cause a P0014 Code.

Omg...I'm so glad I found this video because all of the other videos I've watched didn't say which sensor goes where. Now, Im aware of which sensor I need to change based on the cylinders of my vehicle. This has saved me so much time and aggravation. Thank you again!
I just bought a 2018 Camaro rs Used with 62k miles on it the check engine light came on went to autozone to get ot scanned the code p0014 came up So I went and got an oil change at fire stone and the guy that was changing my oil told me to come here to show me something the car was raised in the air he pulled the plug on the oil panel to show me how black the oil was so the oil hasn’t been changed on the car so he we
Changed it amd the check engine light went off
I have that code on my 07 acadia. Car still runs great. I've changed two of the vvt. Camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor. Changed the oil. And still showing.
Did you ever fix this ?
So if you had dirty.engine oil and changed the oil should I just erase the code or do I need to change the sensor?
You can clear the code and see if it comes back. If the code comes back, something is likely clogged or damaged.
My OBD scanner is recommending that I change my solenoid. How do I know which one to change out? Or would I have to change both in this situation?
It is always best to get a diagram for the specific vehicle, but "A" is usually the Intake solenoid, and "B" is usually the Exhaust solenoid.
@@HVAC_Mechanic thank you so much
