Before removing VVT solenoid, listen to it as power is momentarily applied, if clicking heard, then might indicate valve function is good. Possibly save lots of time. Thanks for the good video.
I keep getting all sorts of lights. Already replaced the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors with what only seemed like a temp fix. Worked fine for about 15 miles then back to crazyness. My engine oil was changed not even two weeks before I started having this issue. Oil level is fine. I'm about to go outside and test this VVT solenoid to see if it's a problem. Codes I keep getting are: P0011 P061D P0365 P0340 P0300 P0017 The crazy thing is that sometimes it works fine and then it goes crazy. My only guess would be that maybe one of the VVT channels is clogged or the sensor itself is bad. I tested both position sensors I changed and they were both fine but I went ahead and changed them anyway. Going to check the VVT now. Wish me luck.
how did it go? I have the exact same issue. My vvt click and work but i think they are faulty when under high oil pressure. The click doesn’t really mean anything. Please let me know if it fixed it.
I’m having that exact problem with my 2011 Infiniti m37. I got the P0011 code. Charged camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. Nothing is wrong with my wiring. Can you tell me me if this the reason I have a stalling problem and how to fix this problem that just started a day ago? Please
@@kusoi4481 still haven’t found out the issue but I really believe it’s the 02 sensor because it regulates air to fuel ratio. The symptoms do seem like fuel to air ratio being off, also the cam sensor isn’t reading the and that regulates wear to send oil where in the block. If I find more just reply
This is the code I keep getting. I have put sea foam in as requested but now it happens more often so I may have to change it. The jerking is annoying. I get my oil changed as it is supposed to be. I know mine is due but my appt isn’t for another few days. I was trying to wait to drive until the appt but I have a Dr appointment to go to. I hate to overwork the car if it’s jerking because of the oil changed due
I’m getting the P0011 code on my 2016 Chevy Sonic LT and I replaced the camshaft position sensor and both the intake/exhaust solenoid. Also did an oil change and the code is still coming up. Pls help me lol
My 16 Kia optima LX 2.4l is throwing this code. It runs fine for the most part but after driving about 40 miles, the initial acceleration will be very sluggish. When I cut the car off then back on, the sluggishness goes away for another 40ish miles
i get over retarded and cylinder 3 misfire on a 2.4 lt 06 camry. new camshaft sensor, had material on the old one, new plugs and coils oil and filter. originally had all cylinders misfiring, lost all the misfire codes but still have p0012 and p0353 coil primary/secondary circuit malfunction. until i saw the tidbit about the VVT solenoid i was all but about to throw in the towel and toss a new camshaft and timing chain kit into it.. turns out the vvt was clogged up so bad it failed. did exactly what he said, checked the only one it has and sure enough failed. ran motor flush through it, changed the oil and filter then installed new vvt solenoid and boom working like a charm. god i was so glad not to have to install a new camshaft
@brandonbranham7879 it's a brand of oil. It was rated good but if you want the best oil go with Amsoil Signature Series, Pennzoil Ultra Platnium, or the new Valvoline Restore and Protect oils.
Power Probe circuit tester I use for most of my automotive testing amzn.to/3Ub08zd

So we can use carb cleaner to clean these right?
Where are those located at?

Tried to get mine out yesterday. It will spin but seems stuck. Is there a trick to getting it out?

How many volts it needs?
12v, 9v battery even might do.

so ..... where is it on the engine ????
On mine which is 07 Yukon it’s behind the water pump
on most vehicles they are somewhere on top of the valve cover
But you didn’t check resistance ohms..
Would this issue cause the smell of gasoline
Maybe …
Mostly it’s controlling the oil ..
but it will affect the fuel consumption
if your getting a fuel smell i would check out the high pressure fuel pump - they are known to fail.
you are shaking bro check your liver
