An easier way to disable the power management is to do it via the power settings, just set it to use high power mode in the advanced settings. That way the system will never power down any devices to save power.

Good information Rich. This may be a record for your shortest video;-) I think many may not know that on a PC right clicking on your mouse on the Lightburn program icon after you have already opened your first instance of Lightburn is how to open additional instances of light burn. On a MAC.....I have no clue... Thanks again.

On a Mac, it’s not as easy to open more than one instance of any program as it is on a PC. On a Mac to open more than one instance of LightBurn, you need to open the program called Terminal and type the following command.
open -n -a “LightBurn” and then press enter. This will open another instance of LightBurn. You can type the command in several times to open several instances of LightBurn.

Hi Rich - thanks for another great video. I have an Ortur Master 2 Pro and a Windows 10 PC. I've already un-ticked the power option for the USB as you describe and thankfully the PC never sleeps and interrupts a job. However if the laser isn't asked to do anything for a time, let's say 5 minutes (I haven't timed it) I have to press the buttons in sequence on the laser controller to re-establish communication. Any tips to improve that one please?

Easyer to do it with power option instead i think
Navigate to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Power Plan.

Select Restore default settings for this plan.

A message displays to confirm if you are sure you want to restore the default settings. Select Yes.

    Select Change advanced power settings.

    Expand the USB Settings drop-down.
Expand the USB selective suspend setting drop-down.

Select Disabled and Apply/OK the settings.
    Below Windows 10:
Navigate to Control Panel > Hardware > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings.
Select Restore default settings for this plan.
    Expand the USB Settings drop-down.
Expand the USB selective suspend setting drop-down.
Select Disabled and Apply/OK the settings.
If I may. You cab read it here with picture to ;-)
