Not commercially popular but probably the best guitarist ever♥️🎶♥️🎶♥️
Agree 💯%
Steve Vai is a guitar master with unlimited talent. "I Know You're Here", and "Tender Surrender" both show his amazing abilities. Thanks Biz.
Tender Surrender is one of my favorites. By Steve Vai rhymes with Eye.
correct pronunciation is Va EYE and he's a sweet heart of a guy and a guitar god
I have my ticket for the G3 reunion concert coming through Arizona. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. It's going to be fargin awesome.
possibly the best guitarist on earth
Man, you can feel his feelings and love for the music and guitar... So beatiful, cant describe it.... Its just beautiful
Great to see Steve Vai getting some more love. Dude is a LEGEND and has mastered the art of performing AND the guitar. 💯
❤Steve❤
Check out Steve Vai's "Windows to the Soul". It's truly is divine.
Check out his song “ ztender Surrender “ on another level
The beauty, the feeling and the love of the music, and man, that beautiful guitar.... (such a beatiful music)
I’m seeing him in Orlando in March. Him and Joe on Tour now
TALENT
Another famous master rock guitarist known for having performed with an orchestra is Yngwie J. Malmsteen. He's Swedish but has been in the U.S. since he was 17 or something. His "Trilogy Suite Op. 5" is my favorite from his performance with the Japanese Philmarmonic Orchestra.
Steve Via- Now We Run, Tender Surrender, Bad Horsie, are a few to react to next.
this genuinely makes me cry bro, such a beautiful song, vai is a legend.
Yea you "feel" this as much as you hear it for sure.
Me too..... my soul falls to its knees♥️🎶✝️
he is a master of his instrument.
I had never heard him before. Thanks for exposing me to his talent (& of course the orchestra was fantastic).😊
Vai rhymes with sky 👍
Steve is one of the best guitarists ever, he got his first big break playing with Frank Zappa 🎸
I remember seeing an interview with Zappa and he said he was amazed this 17 year old kid sent him a tape of him playing Zappas parts faster then Zappa, His first job for Zappa, because he was to young to tour, was transposing Zappas guitar parts into sheet music for him.
@@Ginric99that was a great interview!!
Frank's little Italian virtuoso. They made some amazing music together. And you can hear Frank in his music to this day.
And just to be sure, Frank Zappa rhymes with drank crappa
That tryout from Vai's perspective is hilarious "it was impossible to add that note, not just for me, anyone. Frank says 'I heard Aretha Franklin is looking for a guitarist'. Haha, Frank had a weird brain, also thought Steve's guitar sounded like an electric ham sandwich, whatever that means
Biz, Steve Vai has a guitar dual with, and for the soul of Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid), in the movie Crossroads (1986). About Robert Johnson and the legendary crossroads, where you can sell your soul. It's actually good.
My favorite scene from that movie!! 👏🏼🔥🎸
"I got me a real good guitar player name of Jack Butler, cuts heads every Sat night"
Love that movie lol
His version of jimi hendrix and stevie ray vahns' "Little wing" takes my breath away......♥️🎶✝️
Steve Vai became famous when he joined the Frank Zappa band (called Mothers of Invention). Zappa is a very good guitarist but Vai took the solos to another level. Steve Vai tells some very funny Zappa stories including the one where Vai auditioned to play in Zappa's band.
Steve Vai fans should check those out!
Check out his track knapsack which plays one handed, due to shoulder and wrist surgery
Steve Via was David Lee Roth's right hand man when Dave left Van Halen to go solo. You gotta hear the tracks "Yankee Rose" and "Going Crazy" from the "Eat "Em And Smile" release. That album left a lot of jaws dropped to the floor.
Agreed that I know you're here and Tender Surrender Live are amazing af,.. He wrote this in a guitar shop on an acoustic with a recorder,.. Had an idea. This is all Heart and Soul. I love those tunes,..they are crazy good! But this was put to the side,..and here we are. Love it!!!
I absolutely love how you review so many of the amazing artists that nobody else hardly ever does!! Steve Vai has played with Frank Zappa, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth & has recorded with many others including Alice Cooper over the years. He is immensely talented! I put him at the virtuoso level for sure 🎸🔥
You should check out "Firewall with band intros" from his Where the Wild Things Are video 🤘
Virtuoso guitar god try “Tender Surrender”
Exquisite talent on display, Biz .
Guitars want Steve Vai for Christmas. Check out any live version of him doing, 'Whispering a Prayer' pretty much plays just using the whammy bar. All the best from the far north of New Zealand👍
Check..... Steve Vai - "I Know You're Here" , Steve Vai - "Tender Surrender" , Steve Vai - Teeth of the Hydra (Official Music Video) , Steve Vai - Bad Horsie , Steve Vai - "Dark Matter" Official Music Video
Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏 that was beautiful ✌️
Yngwie Johan Malmsteen is a beast. Also look up Michael Angelo Batio who plays 2 guitars at the same time. 🤯🤯
Played with Frank Zappa when he was like 20 and he grew up in carle place long island ny
There’s and old movie called crossroads with Ralph Machio . It’s about blues and the duel at the end is Steve Vai( sounds like guy ) vs Ralph. I reality it’s all Steve.
Teeth of the Hydra...you will thank me later..
Pronounced as tie
Cry, guy, fry, VAI
Now you're really messing deeply with FIRE! That axe has a Fernandes super sustainer and when he blows on the strings that's enough to generate a never ending note. Steve 'V' EYE" is how you say it...
So much to this than just his performance. He also composed the entire score for the orchestra. To me this is honestly one of the most beautiful pieces of music written. I'm an old dude been a fan of him since his Frank Zappa days. Can remember getting an issue of Guitar World magazine and it had a floppy vinyl record in it of one of his songs. Finally got to see him live this year. The experience was unlike any other concert I've ever been to. It wasn't all crazy and hyped up. The crowd sat literally memorized by what we saw.
Makes me happy seeing people getting to see him for the first time.
Don't stop here with one song explore more if you can. You can do the ones almost every reactor does, this one, Tender Surrender, Teeth of the hydra. All great for sure. I suggest listen to Frank it's an amazing overlooked song. And also Firewall the live version. You can see him sing in that one and it's great as well.
Sorry for a long reply lol had a lot to say. Like your channel subbing for sure
Arf! Arf!
Vai is pronounced like "guy"... 🤙
The three Gs check them out Joe Satriani Steve Vai whatever special guest they bring in good stuff now check out. Gary Moore The song the messiah will come or anything Else from Gary Moore he does a lot of blues check them out
His name is pronounced Like Eye, v-Ai not like vey lol
“Too many notes”.
Did you ever watch Amadeus, the movie about Mozart. It is an excellent film. The quote is from a memorable scene where the Emperor gives Mozart the most polite critique….too many notes…..the human ear can only hold so many notes…cut a few notes it will be perfect. Classic and funny scene, the Emperor comes off a bit like an idiot, but it is a valid criticism that gets to the very core of musical expression.
I admire Steve Val’s talent but his music never really resonated with me. Same for Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, ELP etc…. Its beyond my ken, I am the idiot.
Doesn't parts of this song sound like the old Kung Fu theme
