What are all this rumours about Bricknothingham 2.0 ? are you moving? finally convinced your housemates to give up the master bedroom? or the living room? Did you dig out your basement? Edit now I've finished the video: Looks really nice Robin with those two trams moving, the blue one waiting and the green one heading off into the void. Really adds to the Packed&Stacked nature of your city.
What is the time frame for 2.0's start date how much longer for the mayor to finish the unveiling the Robin hood Statue. To start breaking ground on 2.0?
If you can get another switch or two you should make a double track monorail station, where the orange and red trains can both stop at their own platform before switching directions. I love the fact you have multiple trains running on the track now gives it so much more life!!
I think Power Functions is better than Powered Up because you can say have a multi-unit train where every car has a motor and you just stack the connectors so it runs off of 1 battery box, whilst with Powered Up you have only have 2 motors per battery box but they use separate channels on the controller, the problem is it's hard to get hold of Power Functions since all modern sets use Powered Up. @@RobinHoodBricks
Fantastic!!! I totally agree, it would be weird if you build a totally different tram for the same track! I love how busy it looks with "4" trams driving on the track! I hope Lego makes all the parts you need in a new colour so you can make a other complete one when you are ready for BrickNottingham 2.0
Thank you sooooo much for showing us how you do this Robin ,especially the middle bit ,I could never get it right from your earlier video and my tram sits in a drawer 🙈 I am going to get it going again now you are a genius always thanks for sharing 😊😊👍🏼👍🏼
Love you’re still adding to the rail systems network in Brick Nottingham. Interesting mechanics in the older sets. That’s how I discovered your channel looking for Lego train inspiration and what a wonderful time I’ve had ever since. My plan is to convert/remodel my express train set to a tram. It almost resembles the blue and yellow colour scheme of the Gold Coast tram network. Enjoy Spain.
As always great build, electric advice, you can attach it to the roof of the (inside) saloon and the cab can be where the cable goes down. 😉 but no matter what it looks great.
For the station set up, look at some of the NYC above ground subway stations. Best ones are Parkchester on the 6 line, Gunhill road in the 2 line and Queensboro plaza on the 7,N line. Can give you and idea for an above ground station for the two motorized trams. Also be cool to build like a facade of a tunnel for the green tram. For the blue tram can make it like it’s parked in an above ground depot.
Maybe for 2.0, you could have them meet at a very long monorail station which have two different colour coded ends. So the Orange monorail has orange stations, and blue monorails have blue stations etc.
The new monorail looks great and using the same railway is genius…saves a lot of space! It might be fu have 1 minifig on top of each rail trying to reach the other…thry could be holding swords or sticks and at some random time might hit each other slightly… like monorail jousting 😄
What a great idea Robin! This is something that I'm pretty sure I want to do now to get 2 trains on my singular line! Thanks for sharing your tram build process as well.
Yay tram 🚃 day!!! One of my favourite things. Don’t think you’ve shown the old tram in such detail before🚊. I really like the new colour red. Sounds like Brick Nottingham 2.0 will have more trams, yay bigger and better! 😮Also trains bigger too? Longer cargo!!!! Great build and awesome 2 trams on same track!👍 JJ F
Would love to see that monorail line extended to go down near the fairgrounds or perhaps to the other side of the airport where the airport station could be relocated. Maybe then you could run all three of these beautiful trains at once.
Don't forget, we need a Super Secret Police (Wooo! Wooo! Wooo!) monorail train with a helicopter pad on top and some spikes and bars and maybe even a death ray on top so they can prevent any crime on the monorail system. 🚓🚔🚨🚄🚆🚋
Wow! I thought that after t Building the blue and green you would be apeaced. Turns out you needed a 4th one. In red and with a motor! Well done!! Looks amazing!
loving this monorail, great work. I've been thinking about that car being pushed around sideways by the train, how cool would it be if a train was pushing a Delorean like in Back to the Future III, where Bilbo Skywalker has his car launched by a train in his quest for the Holy Grail?
You ciuld also have a monorail track that is going nowhere/unused (like the blue monorail), which has broken down. Have a few mechanics working on it and a long queue of people walking down the stairs to the bus replacement service.
Enjoying the view of yet another monorail. More transit, means more movement. Just a suggestion, you could potentially change around the battery carriage with the passenger carriage, it may improve the leaning/brushing against the tiki sign.
I think you should move the turn point too behind the building in the corner, this would give the red train a little more run time and the orange a little less. Also this would make the stop point not out in the open. Have fun in Spain 😎
@@RobinHoodBricks wrong! Bricknottenham doesn’t do wrong! In truth I understand but it would still be cool, plus as these monorails are in essence running in the background there not going to be focused on but if you see them stop and reverse in plain sight they will then become the focal point. If it’s done in hiding you would be surprised how many people would think back and believe that the trick was you made it change colour lol
Didn’t think I needed another tram, but boy is it fun to see another one on the network. The red is definitely my favourite colour, much prefer it to the orange. This is very awesome, can’t wait to see the monorail is BrickNottingham 2.0! Amazing!
I still think you need to make a retired tram of an older design to either be hauled away as scrap on a new train car or have it turned into a feature of the kids play area.
something that bugs me about train layouts is when the trains only have one station to go to. so what if the trams had a change over station to add more lines to the city when bricknotingham 2.0 is created?
Yeah something like that. It's made difficult by then needing at least two platforms all in the air, blocking other stuff, plus a way to get from one to the other etc. I'll see what I can reasonably squeeze in!
A question about the doodads you put on the roof for wires. I didn't know monorails had wires going on top like a train? I've never scene them like that. The ones I have scene had all the wires running under it on the track. No worries anyway. Just had never scene that detail before
It’d be interesting to figure out a alternative to motorized a monorail mod like a brick built one that uses a technic gear piece using a modern motor than having to buy a original monorail motor or 3rd party
Errrm. I wouldn't say no, haha. Are you sure? I could get the blue dummy one going as well with another base and motor. I have no idea how much track I'll need in the end but probably more than I have. Wow!
I´m sorry, Robin, but this isn´t realistic at all. Everything works properly, no malfunctioning of the switches, nothing on the tracks that shouldn´t be there, no driver on strike, not even problems with the doors. At least put some obnoxious minifigs in there... 😁

Monoraillll! I'm a big fan of the consistency between the trams, definitely lends an air of verisimilitude.
Certainly does. Also a link to real life Nottingham that I appreciate!

What if you had them meet behind the grocery store so it is invisible to the viewer where they "turn around?" Plus, you have stop back there already.
I just love the view of one appearing from behind there and crossing the bridge. That needs to remain unchanged!
Also why do the monorails still have pantographs , because they have no overhead line equipment powering them anymore
Some monorails are powered from the track but trams on elevated tracks are often powered from overhead cables, just like real life Nottingham!
As someone who lives in a city riddled with trams, this pleases me.
add two trams in the way of each other static and even have the drivers yelling at each other to get out of the way
