Survival gear - Surefire G2X Pro on a hunting trip and with coyote howls in the distance

- Taking a look at the Surefire G2X Pro dual output flashlight. My daughter and I head out to the deer stand to see if we can see any deer. On the way back to the truck, I let my daughter lead the way with the Surefire G2X Pro.

On the way to the stand, we marked some tree limbs with limb lights - which are like a bread tie and has a reflective strip on one side.
As we were getting out of the deer stand, two different groups of coyotes starting howling in the distance. One group was in the direction we needed to go.
To get back to the truck, my daughter just had to follow the reflectors we put out.

Real life video, with all of those coyotes, luckily you were carrying one of the best flashlights ever made and that legendary beautiful rifle, thanks my friend..
I must say, your daughter is funny as hell! - "They're gettin' closer!" - "It's fine hunny." - "I don't care!" that and the rifle/gun comment was the best part. :)
I love the shot around 9:00 where she's crossing the creek. All you see is the flashlight and shadows. Really cool.
Great review, the part where you two talk about a difference of a rifle and a gun cracked me up. Brought back memories in high school ROTC, the teacher would do the same thing.
Bought one of these in 2024. Not the brightest by todays standards, but it's a Surefire, enough said.

But it is a good video! I like the surefire! And I like that you are talking, testing, and taking the flashlight out from the thing it were inside. And, I like the videos that are a little long, like this one.. Good job, keep it up! Make some more videos!

I can see that the FAL has become your new favorite weapon.
BTW I'd never walk around in the woods at night unless there was snow on the ground under a full moon. You hardly need a flashlight. But know you live in Texas and you don't get a lot of snow down there.

@nathan61984 - even though coyote attacks on man are rare, they do happen. There is also this thing called "rabies".
cool video. Is that a .308 you have or .223? try putting your camera on manual focus and focus it in by hand. At least it will pretty much stay in focus then. That's what I used to do.

I heard Coyotes yappin it up like that in Indiana lastnight.
Mk so you used the surefire for hunting. For home defense do you think its bright enough to keep the muzzle flash of a gun from blinding you in the dark? I've been interested in this light for a lil bit now.

@nathan61984 Every time I've seen coyotes they were very scared of us. If you fire a shot off in the ground they will scatter immediately.
2.5 hours.. man, pray to God you don't need to shit in the middle of the dark, you don't got time to wipe your ass for shit before the lights go out..

i hate freaking coyotes we had a huge pack in our spot in the woods last year pretty scary when a whole bunch of em come hoopin and hollerin towards ya like clockwork at 8 every night,thankfully most have moved on since possibly due to lots of gunfire he he he.

Rabies, then you should be worried about skunks, raccoons, armadillos, opossums, squirrels, bats, etc.
