My mom grew up in Ohio. Don’t think she even graduated high school. She passed away a few years ago from breast cancer. I’ve never met anyone that was as similar to her as Miss Melissa. She laughed just like her. My mom was crazy and I loved her for it.
I shed a tear when she mentioned the buddy thing & dancing with the kids with no moms. My mom died when I was 9 and all of the lunch ladies knew and were super nice, but I would have loved miss Melissa as a kid. ❤😢
This is the kind of person that you work with, and remember her for the rest of your life. I used to work at Home Depot with a woman named Moe, and she had a bombastic laugh like this Melissa. Always happy and loving, giving hugs to everyone. People like this make going to work fun, when it would otherwise be a mind numbing day. People I meet who bring joy into other peoples lives are my heroes.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WOMAN! It settles my heart to think that maybe there was someone this kind feeding my children at school because my children were part of the free lunch program. Miss Melissa fed me for about 5 years! She would always let me get an extra milk or juice and even food if there was extra. And yes her laugh was the best. I didn’t realize it then because I was a child but now that I’m in my 30s watching this video I can remember hearing her laugh from the hallway and being happy that she was there serving us breakfast and lunch. This was at Clark elementary school in Cleveland Ohio. Hey miss Melissa! Glad you’re doing well and still looking out for the kids. ❤
This was a joy to listen to. Thank you Melissa. My mom is a lunch lady of 15 years. Her school feeds about 600 elementary school children who all love and adore her. My mom cares about her kids like Melissa does. She loves wearing the fun t shirts and wearing hand bands for holidays. Some women are born to be lunch ladies!! A safe person for all children.

Well said
That does not sound like a nice way to put that
Bringing dignity into it is weird is what I mean
@@erikkibler3466 I think what he means is that his genuine interest and general happiness to hear all about what they do makes them happy to tell him about it. Some people love their job but won’t talk about it as much because they think people don’t want to hear it. His disposition makes them open up because they feel heard and proud.
Melissa seems like the best coworker a person could ask for. I bet the kids love her!!
And Theo is such a doll. He's a good man. I hope he fonds a good girl soon. He deserves all the goodness in the world.
Her since of humor is incredible. You can tell that Theo has spent a lot of his time making regular folks laugh and he thoroughly enjoys it
Sense*
This woman is a breath of fresh air. The kids she has been around probably don't know how lucky they were.
Probably, but with that laugh and personality, I'm sure very few kids ever forget her.
Who knew all I needed on a bad day was the sound of a lunch ladies laughter
Right??
The healing power of laughter 😂
Took me a few minutes to cut through her unique laugh, but this is like the Aunt you always wanted ❤
What pill did she take?
Miss Melissa is amazing, you never know what a kids going through st home so giving them a good school life really means alot. Im sure she has made a great impact on many children
when she’s talking about the kiwi and goes “why’d you eat that FUZZZ” HAHAH
haha so relatable.

I still remember the garbage guy one he did.. Was one of the realest interviews.
I think thats one of my favorites
Loved the Garbage Man, also the funeral service guy, what others would you recommend?
@@400kothi! are you talking about the coroner or the mortician? Because im trying to decide which one to watch :)
@@TootieFruutie sorry forgot coroner also great. No i was talking about funeral guy, chubby guy it was :)
I remember the kindness and cheerful manner of certain lunch ladies from my school days. This lady is truly beautiful and I'm sure the children will always remember her fondly, when they grow up.
Seeing Theos face when she laughs is INCREDIBLE. Her laugh is amazing
he’s never been happier
When Joe Rogan told him to interview people that he is interested… not only did Theo provide, but Theo is about to thrive! This is the best podcast of all time
Theo’s been interviewing regular folk for a long time, got nothing to do with Rogan.
@@minty5585 he definitely started doing it more after rogan told him that. it fs motivated him to keep doing it and i love these episodes
Truth!
She could start her own podcast, the laughing lunch lady , and I guarantee it would be successful! I’d listen to her laugh all day 😂
YES
Omg yes!
yes!!!!!
AND SHE’S FUNNYYYY 😍
Laughing lunch lady land
My lunch lady in high school was my favorite person to talk to in the whole building. Melissa seems awesome.
I can't sit through most movies these days yet a two hour conversation that never leaves a school lunch room kept me entertained the whole time. What a brilliant guest.
So true!
This is facts!
“What’s the highest you’ve ever been up? Like on a building or a slide?”🤣🤣🤣
A slide lmfao
Please keep doing these interviews with working class people like this, Theo. These are the best episodes of the podcast by far. Not only are they just as interesting, if not more, than the guests who are already famous, seeing their overwhelming joy at being given the opportunity to do the show is incredible.
Omg I love this lady. Her laugh is making my cheeks hurt and lifting my mood. . She is having so much fun. What a great fit to talk to Theo.
Shes got the Billy Madison Sloppy Joe's lunch lady laugh.

7:21 “how those doors slammed shut good” is the most specific and funny thing someone could say about a Cutlass. I’m dying. Love her
It really is. It's a very specific sound/feeling.
type of thing you have never heard before or thought about but somehow it’s so true
Must’ve latched on the 3rd slam since it was a cutlass. 😂
“ I was like dude where’s my car!?” She’s funny 😂😂
I really want to hope it's a reference to the movie 😂
My mom grew up in Ohio. Don’t think she even graduated high school. She passed away a few years ago from breast cancer. I’ve never met anyone that was as similar to her as Miss Melissa. She laughed just like her. My mom was crazy and I loved her for it.
i'm sorry for your loss ❤ hope you're doing okay
This is probably Theos best interview. Good lord this woman is so fun to listen to.
my favorite was the carney guy. absolute gem
I love her ❤
I shed a tear when she mentioned the buddy thing & dancing with the kids with no moms. My mom died when I was 9 and all of the lunch ladies knew and were super nice, but I would have loved miss Melissa as a kid. ❤😢
I'm sorry to hear that
This is the kind of person that you work with, and remember her for the rest of your life.
I read your name as Mystic Autism and it got me thinking.

Thanks for bringing this lady on. She deserves every moment of the spotlight.
Such a sweet lady. 31 years and just loves the kids and loves her job.
My thoughts exactly. She would be a blessing at any school.
Right away I was like “I love her” lol
This lady’s laugh is extremely contagious because it’s so real lol
nailed it
I had a co worker who is just as ex verted as this a good funny as laugh and loves laughing and making jokes this lady are a blast to be around

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WOMAN! It settles my heart to think that maybe there was someone this kind feeding my children at school because my children were part of the free lunch program. I always worked full time, early hours and I tried hard to explain to my children that this was “normal”. I live close to Cleveland so this hits home.
Bruh. I don’t comment. But I’m mowing the lawn listening to this and LEGIT laughing each time she laughs. Wild.
Omgggg I’m dyinnnn
Sitting in the car in a Walmart parking lot doing the same thing hahaha
Sitting here doing Coke and hot railing crack and sipping drank & smoking m30s and smoking cigs just listening to this women laugh makes me so happy but I know she been through some hard times to laugh like that. God bless her soul, love her alot already 😂❤😂❤
I hope this episode never ends
I was out in the yard too! Listened on spotify but had to come in when I was done and watch it again on RUclips just to see both their faces😂
I 110% know she has made a huge difference in thousands of children’s lives. She is a bright light in this dark world. ❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
Miss Melissa fed me for about 5 years! She would always let me get an extra milk or juice and even food if there was extra. And yes her laugh was the best. I didn’t realize it then because I was a child but now that I’m in my 30s watching this video I can remember hearing her laugh from the hallway and being happy that she was there serving us breakfast and lunch. This was at Clark elementary school in Cleveland Ohio. Hey miss Melissa! Glad you’re doing well and still looking out for the kids. ❤
Lucky!
That is awesome 🎉❤
I hope she saw this comment!
I love this woman I feel like I've known her my whole life.
A safe person for all children.
i swear lunch ladies are earth angels
that’s amazing!
Sending nothing but good vibes ,, makes me think, if everyone was able to do the job they get this much joy out of , we’d be living in utopia

My Mom just passed on May 31 and I’m fighting stage 4 cancer. This woman’s laugh is making me smile and crack up!😂🤣I’ll come back here when I get down and it will help!💓

This actually connected with me so hard. I remember straight up counting on school lunches sometimes and to hear from someone who put that much care and effort into it for HUNDREDS of kids in the same boat... amazing. Theo this was by far my fave episode ever man
Right, my school never did the breakfast thing and I didn't have it at home but the lunch ladies would let me steal a milk to cover me till lunch time.

I was having a bad time a work so I put my AirPods in on my break and clicked on this podcast and listened to it for the rest of my shift. Ms Melissa cheered me up and made the last hour and a half of my shift better.
