This season has simultaneously been the best and the worst saga. On one hand the three of them bouncing off each other is such good content. But then they're either pulling absolute dogshit and bricking on it, or triple dipping into the most sleeper packs.

There was a discord server trying to make a Smogon style tier thing for Yugioh decks and had a list where you could select a deck and become its representative. I decided to learn pre-Martha Exosister since it seemed neat, and I FELL IN LOVE with the deck. I fell into the traps of first time players, overcame them, got really good at the deck. Then some f"cker who hadn't read an Exosister card took them, made the most dogwater Exosister Iist I had seen, and lost every single game representing them. I beat the top player on the Discord and a ton of the people in the tournament. It pained me so deeply to watch the replays of a guy who didn't understand Exosister's core strengths just make the deck look completely unviable for the tier it was in.
I can't get a read on MBT. He went from "Farfa playing the same deck every week so boring" to "What the hell are Gage and Doug playing? Farfa's deck is so cool!"
Because both statements are true. Farfa is getting stale playing the same deck every week, but on the flip side it's still a cool deck to watch cook. And when paired against barely functioning piles like this week, you kinda gotta wonder what Gage and Doug are thinking on the deckbuilding side of things.
as someone who used to play Marincess a lot before they banned Ronin Toadin (I just really liked using the frogs in there, made it feel less linear) this physically pained me to watch, I had to keep pausing and doing other stuff before coming back over and over
I kind wish they would open 20 secret packs (some tactics around going into same pack twice or two different packs). By only getting 10 packs they often don't get enough to change strategy.

as far as I understand it, fog blade can stop an in progress attack if you target the monster that is attacking. In this situation, Doug targeted Abom, which would stop the attack, but Gage negated with Heliopolis.

It goes beyond gage not knowing the deck, the game has a whole bunch of stuff literally glowing yellow and it’s like he doesn’t see it.
