"You know what I'm saying?" the teamsam drinking game. You'd be DEAD. But honestly , just because the attendance was smaller, doesn't take away from a win. Congratulations Sam
Sam said he’s happy he brought people back to the game. He brought me back as a casual player. I watch a lot of other content around yugioh but I’ll never miss a Sam video. Thank you Sam.
Came here expecting jokes and loudness, got some incredibly insightful and honest conversations about content creation and passion for the things we do. GG Sam, 10/10 stuff.
Sam's content (at least in the past when I watched a lot) was very casual friendly and is how I got into Yugioh too. Then I moved to Farfa, the "competitive-casual". Then I moved to mainly Josh, the more competitive pick. I think it's a good balance.
Sam definitely gets a lot of hate from parts of the yugioh community bc his persona and over appealing to casuals but we are honestly lucky that Sam is that sorta bridge to the casual audience since there could be much much worse people than Sam who clearly still has a lot of history and reverence with the game unlike the grifters you see in Pokémon community for example. Plus I think he’s right the community can be infamously unwelcoming to new and returning players so people need to not take themselves so seriously
Say what you want about Sam's clickbait stuff, the dude has infectious energy and such good vibes the people he talks about are lucky to have him in their circle.

Sam was absolutely COOKING when he talked about youtube content creation. Especially the parts about reuploading twitch content with no intro (or editing) or with chat on screen appearing lazy. I know they are not lazy but reuploaded content like that definitely FEELS lazy. I know Sam took it back because the chat got heated but he was definitely stating facts right there.
I'd love to see the thing Sam was talking about. Get everyone that has multiple YCS wins in a Chess candidates style Double Round Robin tournament. I'd love to see Ruben vs Paulie or Josh vs Urena or Pak vs Hoban, that would be such good content.
People not knowing that Sam is playing dumb is so funny lmao. My man goes from getting curbed in a video to do the curbing in the same video. My man is like the football players that pretend they get hurt on the field to then just jump back up and shoot the ball in the goal.
They have a good point about the YCS being smaller but do to conditions they’re right. Only the people who really want to be there and have a drive to win and play would be there so it’s a smaller pool of the best players. You could argue even the first games would be harder because you’re more likely to be put against the better players at the start
First ygo video I watched after returning to the game following a ten year hiatus, was a vampire deck on master duel by Sam. He tricked me into spending my gems in a shitty deck, lol. Anyways, congratulations on the ycs win.
