Back when I was working in a tech plant, I could always tell what the machinery was doing by listening to the "music" of the steppers and servos. This stuff is great. Thanks for posting it.
OK, this is a crazy idea so it's right up there with using stepper motors for music. (yes, I'm nerd ;o) Get some luna plywood and make a sound box with a hole in it like a guitar might have. Shouldn't be too expensive and might make the sound have a warm resonance to it. Heck, find a guitar with a broken neck and use that.
