Lancaster reviews are good but every bow they review is the best thing ever. Your reviews are much more honest and not everything you touch is the best thing ever. Keep up the great reviews!
If you are going to score the ATA, brace height, etc. use the companies tune charts to be correct and accurate in the lengths. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your content.
Before assessing “honesty” I would twist the cables to put the bow in exact axle to axle specs then check the timing. I believe that would give more accurate speed / feel / noise assessments.
I think a great addition to your reviews would be the fingers for the ez green presses that are needed to press the bow, so if we want to buy a bow we also can consider if we need different fingers for the press.
Appreciate the time you put into reviews. Perhaps altering/tailoring the categories for target vs hunting bows (ie. sound doesn’t apply to target). Given the options today, if you have to shim cams the using a bow press the adjustability score should automatically default to a 2.
I’d argue with how easy it is to change draw length, let off, back wall feel, plus 1/4” DL a 3 is fine. Maybe those are features but seems like tuning to me
As an Aussie, FYI this bow RRP for $3100 aud.. that's $400 dearer then my title 38 and an extra $150 aud if ordered with the gloss limbs.. looks nice tho..👍
Turbo expensive aye! Still weird the Title is like $600 less than USD prices, I got mine for just over $2500. Weirdly the hoyt is less than the title there, but more expensive here
Waiting for them to send you the spec mod ..then the video! looking heavy at this bow because I have a stratos and don’t want to change limbs cams and mods and strings to go down to 28 inches. Because I have a HBT 2.1 and don’t think it’s worth spending 500+ for it to might work when I can just get a concept x and adjust it to me!
I prefer the curves of the Stratos riser over the curves of the Concept X riser. Same for the finish of the riser. If only we could have a Concept X riser that looked more like a Stratos riser, but with the lenght and limb angle used for the Concept X.
@podiumacher can you talk about an indoor arrow setup up please! I’ve searched and searched and can’t seem to find any answers as far as what is a good indoor arrow setup. Do I shoot slow tail heavy arrows or apply the same front end weight rule like a hunting arrow. I’m shooting easton 6.5 currently and scoring high 280’s and have a PB of 290. I don’t want to waste money tinkering, I guess I’m looking for a rule of thumb. Thanks in advance
That bow was super quiet. Quieter than any wait for Matthews. And I wish you would have tested the sound quality because I've been thinking about getting a target bow and using it for hunting.
if you cant give a 5 because you can always do better, then you cant give a one because you could always do worse, so you only have a 3 point variance. this reasoning follows with the 10 point scores. Total score accuracy is diminished. you have to give 1,5,10 or the score is invalid i want the bow though
ATA is an average and it’s ADJUSTABLE. They don’t promise to ship bows with perfect specs. They sit in hot trucks hot sun etc. cables stretch. You may have twist a cable or 2 😮
I agree. Is there anyone out there that believes their bow will come from the factory in spec? If they do, they may be smoking something legal in some states. But seriously Josh keeps marking bows down when he could put them into spec and then test them. But if he keeps doing this at least have a scale to measure off of. I.E. 1/8” loss of 1 point, 1/4” loss of 2 points, etc. This especially should be true for fps. 5% loss of 1 point, 7.5 2 points, etc. Truly there is no scale and it’s appears very biased.
I shoot a PSE Perform X 3D with BCY X99 strings. The CAM's, floating yoke, 1/4" axles all look the same as PSE to me. So for the huge price riser when compared to the Dominator Duo X, I'll stick with PSE. Unless the Hoyt comes down significantly in price.
X99 should provide a hair more speed. More importantly, potential to be more consistent as it is mostly Dyneema fiber. In the long run may end up “stretching” as Vectran is what holds things tight but will “fuzz”.
Hey! Just got my conceptx 37 today, built it and shot it. However, when shot through paper it had a horrendous out of this world left tear. I moved the shims and got a better tear but still very left, moved the rest all the way to the right and a very prominent left tear was still showing up. I saw on lancaster review that they sell separately bigger sized shims, do you think this is the way to go? Anybody knows another way to approach this issue?
So what is a typical or normal draw weight for target and competition bows? I ask because ya sure crank up your bow's for hunting but wouldn't be so practical for target use.
I really like watching these videos, I believe this helps so many people in the archery world , your system of grading a Bow is better than anyone one the web ( non offence Lancaster ) but its simply a fact ! Thanks dude for your Chanel .
Indoor yes speed doesn't really matter. outdoor you want a decent speed though (balanced with weight to negate wind etc) and definitely in field to negate some misjudged distance. My outdoor shafts are 380gr, indoors are about 475
Poor speed for my 27 inch draw. And they say DL doesn't matter. My 1999 bow shoots the same with 400 grains at ,65 lbs 27.25inch. no change in 25 years.
Would like to see some scoring at some kind of range at some point, but it would of limited value to this type of vid and much as I like seeing that kind of view, it is only marginally useful, good shooters can use almost anything and "average" shooters are always more "variable?" and "picky?"
Maybe you should check the more budget friendly options from China like The Sanlida Hero 10 or the Topoint x40 as those are more affordable at half the price.
Just a heads up mate. An Archery manufacturer called Topoint Released their Shoot Through Riser earlier this year Called the Topoint X 40. Hoyts Concept X Bow looks so similar it’s not funny. WTF. Why are we paying near on $2000 for Hoyts when you can purchase the same bow for less than half the price.
Load out point is not even remotely close to determining string angle between bows. You’ve gotta fix this info you keep spouting out your way off. Measure the actual string angles and your Gona see how far in left field you are with this. Ax 32 load out 33 inches. Actual measured string angle 88 degrees at 27.5 DL Lift X 33 load out point 33.5 inches. Actual string angle at 27.5 inches 82 degrees. I could give you 100 more examples of this poor info. You’re leading a bunch of blind people atleast do your own research so it’s not blind leading the blind. You state things confidently and as facts. Be right atleast.
I see your deleting my comments. Why because I pointed out topoint has the exact same bow with Jordan glass limbs, bcy strings, aluminium risers and limb pockets.
Consumers are biased, if they’re educated and experienced. Why would you just want to listen to a Lancaster “this is the greatest bow ever” speech every time and not want to hear what someone else has to say. That’s silly.
More complicated scoring should make for more accurate and comparable scores. Also allows for minor things to not make the score look much worse. A 5 point difference on a 100 point scale is way less than a 5 point difference on a 35 point scale
Lancaster reviews are good but every bow they review is the best thing ever. Your reviews are much more honest and not everything you touch is the best thing ever. Keep up the great reviews!
I watched the Lancaster video already. I enjoy your videos much better.
Yep that dude likes everything....PJ is weak
If you are going to score the ATA, brace height, etc. use the companies tune charts to be correct and accurate in the lengths. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your content.
Before assessing “honesty” I would twist the cables to put the bow in exact axle to axle specs then check the timing. I believe that would give more accurate speed / feel / noise assessments.
That and it may help determine if the x99 bcy material or the cable manufacturing process is up to par.
I was a little surprised to see PJ with the review first. However, I enjoy the over-caffiniated MFJJ. I was expecting him to go full Cornholio on us!
Glad you are doing a review of the Hoyt target bows. No one does an honest review like you.
I really hope this amount of work goes into the new hunting bows. I hope to see improvement in the tuning is all.
I think a great addition to your reviews would be the fingers for the ez green presses that are needed to press the bow, so if we want to buy a bow we also can consider if we need different fingers for the press.
“God forbid use the fucking gravel driveway” I laughed so hard 🤣 uncensored is why i love MFJJ !!

@@JulzA89.. the extra $ for the title in the US compared to us was due to the money help to sponsor their pro shooter's..
I’m pretty there is a base mod that goes like 26-29 and you have to get specific mods for over 29 and under 26.
Good job my friend keep up the good work
Waiting for them to send you the spec mod ..then the video! looking heavy at this bow because I have a stratos and don’t want to change limbs cams and mods and strings to go down to 28 inches. Would love to get my hands on a 40” one day! Thanks for the video! Love what you’re doing with the channel
Can't wait for your review of the baby brother of these last two..
Definately seems like a hoyt version of a title….cant blame them with the uproar mathews made last year with the new bows
The hoyt has far more adjustment for let off without having to have multiple mods. Also a rotating mod for the most common draw lengths.
I don't know if you noticed or if it is a secret design or engineered thing...but the load out length matched the axcel to axcel length
I prefer the curves of the Stratos riser over the curves of the Concept X riser. Same for the finish of the riser.

How about measuring actual let-off . That seems to be overlooked quite often.
Sounds like someone's been Limpin with the Biscuit...lol

i want the bow though
that is looking so close to my ideal for size and weight.

Hoyt strings are fine. My Alpha X 33 is perfect and keeps the DW (no stretch).

What brand and model rest did use on bow?
Love how tune ability is so high this year. Maybe because he knows Mathews is going to come out with something. 🤔

An other question, so at 27.5 draw legnht, with ever cam or mod, I will.never be faster then a 30 inc draw?..
I really like watching these videos, I believe this helps so many people in the archery world , your system of grading a Bow is better than anyone one the web ( non offence Lancaster ) but its simply a fact ! Thanks dude for your Chanel .
Is it just me or do those yolk holders look exactly like Matthews?
Same split yolk system, wider limbs and pockets, bigger dual cams too 🤔
There is only so much you can do with yolks. Pse split yokes are really smart. They kind of look like darton yokes.
@@raphael6488 thus is true, just stoking the fire that they've done a unch of similar things that Mathews did with the Title 😂
Closer to PSE than Mathews. Mathews yokes are floating with the loops on each side. The Hoyts are hooked into a post on each side like PSE.
Looks like a Darton cam system
Cant really review a target bow without actually setting it up and shooting scores and groups. Thats really the most important thing.
Target bow guy now.. so how heavy the arrows are they shooting at 50 meters and 18?.. supposedly speed is not an issue with target bows..
Indoor yes speed doesn't really matter. outdoor you want a decent speed though (balanced with weight to negate wind etc) and definitely in field to negate some misjudged distance.
My outdoor shafts are 380gr, indoors are about 475
Can I order the bow with you , I am in Australia
Like fly up there and order together? That’s an expensive trip for a bow 😂
Poor speed for my 27 inch draw. And they say DL doesn't matter. My 1999 bow shoots the same with 400 grains at ,65 lbs 27.25inch. no change in 25 years.

You post this during a SEAHAWKS GAME?!?!?
The Garmin might interfere with the chronograph in front of it a little bit. It works best if there is around 8 yards of empty space in front.
What does mfjj stand for
JJ stands for Josh Jones and the rest contributes to the love of mothers on this earth.
Nice Dominator Bro...

Never buy the first model of a new bow.Wait for the second year improvements
I see your deleting my comments. Why because I pointed out topoint has the exact same bow with Jordan glass limbs, bcy strings, aluminium risers and limb pockets.
No, he's not. I saw you say something about it up above. No one cares, but yeah, I saw it.
Everyone should look into topoint archery they have been doing a bow like this for years.
so basically hoyt just made a title :)
Way closer to a PSE than a Matthews😂
review of bows that noone is gonna buy
Gee...what value number did he give to the Mathews Title??
Um...maybe Lancaster isn't nearly as biased???
Lancaster reviews are just ads for the product.. Which is nice to see for new features, but they don't ever say anything bad about the product
Consumers are biased, if they’re educated and experienced. Why would you just want to listen to a Lancaster “this is the greatest bow ever” speech every time and not want to hear what someone else has to say. That’s silly.
