Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for posting your entertaining adventures. Your love for Scotland shines through and your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm glad you enjoyed 2 of my favourite Scottish trails.
I always feel slight sadness when your adventures are over. It's such a release from reality to watch. But I know you'll be out there again. Thanks for all you do. ❤
After years of back pain and a bad hip really restricting any kind of walking for several years, I had surgery last year and have been building up my strength again. Planning to walk either the West Highland Way or the Great Glen way next year as I turn 70! Thanks for your videos!
Hi Crystal and Brian, have really enjoyed watching your journeys on the two trails. Wonderful videos. Love Scotland. Look forward to seeing your next adventure ❤
Congratulations! 🎉 Well done, you two!! 👏🏻 Thank you for taking us along on such a great adventure. I loved seeing the growth in Brian and your development as a couple. Your Unknown Grandma is very proud of you both. Looking forward to our next adventure together! Much Love & Blessings on your way! ❤️🙏🏻🥰
Thank you, I have really enjoyed your adventures. I’ve also enjoyed watching how good your vids have become from your camino’s on thru. There are so many good long distance hikes here and I hope you return to capture them in your unique way. Buon Camino,
It was a pleasure to look after your luggage transfers for the Great Glen Way. Glad you enjoyed your rest day in Drumnadrochit and visit to Urquhart Castle.
Well done to you both. Great videos of your time doing The West Highland Way and The Great Glen Way. Brian is lucky to have a partner that is prepared to do them. Hope you have/had a good and safe journey back home. 👍🙂
Hi guys, got to say I enjoyed your videos of the “West Highland Way” & “The Great Glen Way” filmed with style and at a pace that was enjoyable 👍. Sad when they end but looking forward to the next ones. KA-KA? sorry got to go? But as we Scottish say “Haste Ye Back”🏴
The auld guy is english not Scottish where you got food in the woods. I thought you two where great, folks like you are welcome to stay in Scotland. SLAINTE. 👍
Ooooh I’m so sad that it has ended, I’ll miss you guys! Please come back soon, videos of nothing in particular will be fine 😂 Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with us and Congratulations on completing the trail. PS that cake was HUGE! 😮
Loved this series as well as the WHW. I'm headed to Scotland later this year to walk the WHW. I placed an order with Infuse Organics. So glad you spoke about them. Their products look wonderful! Can't wait for my package to arrive.
That was lovely, Thank you so much for sharing your journey. And that cafe looked absolutely incredible. He was very friendly not gramudgenly at all. You guys are fun to journey with. And I will afford to the next time. From portland oregon, Grandma Teri
Great series!! Makes me want to walk this trail :) And Crystal, I have to agree with you... anytime I'm on a long walk and think 'what am I learning about myself?' the first and foremost thing that pops into my head is always: "I really love walking." Can't wait to see what's next!
Thanks for sharing your journey. If I may give you a good suggestion for a next trip; The fishermen's trail in Portugal. Beautiful views, rugged coasts, picturesque fishing villages, Portuguese hospitality and delicious food.
Really enjoy watching your journeys. We visited UK/Ireland last May and stopped at the Clansman for lunch so just got a sandwich and drink to eat down by Loch Ness. Didn't make it to Urquhart Castle though so will have to go back but it is such a long way from Australia!
Awesome and such a atmospheric upload my friend! With so much beauty nature provides, I have a hard time wondering why anyone would want to do anything else with their free time.
I would love to see a follow up video with the equipment/clothing that you used, didn’t use/wish you had or hadn’t taken. Your suitcases looked huge; do you think you overpacked or not?
Cool thanks! These are good ideas and we will be releasing a follow up video about those topics. Huge suitcases do to multiple trips (not just Great Glen Way). If we were only trekking the suitcases would of course not be needed. ☺️
I’ve just binge-watched your WHW and GG walks. Great work, I love your enthusiasm and energy. I’m a Scot living not far from the WHW and I’ve done almost all of it multiple times in bits and pieces but never as a single trek. I have done the GG way back in winter of 2016 with snow for most of it. Both super walks and showcase different sides of Scotland. Looking at your back catalog you don’t seem to have done much in the border country, which I think you’d love, especially Galloway in the west and the Abbeys in the east. Finally, given Brian’s obvious interest in Outlander I was amazed you didn’t detour to the Devil’s Pulpit(aka Finnish Glen) on your first day since it features so often in Outlander and is an epic location.
I have loved your treks and I am happy for you that you finished this. I will miss following you. I hope there is more to come. Congratulations with finishing this !! Much love from California ! 🙏💕🌷
Thanks so much for doing this and your WHW videos. You guys were so much fun to watch and you were super lucky with the weather. I'm told Scottish weather can be brutal. We plan to go to the UK (including the WHW) in September 2026 so I'm starting my research and planning now. Cheers.
I bet tent camp hiking this trail, cooking your meals along the way, would add a whole new level of adventure to this trail hike. Kinda like the Pacific Crest Trail is. Obviously that's not possible but sounds kinda cool.
Strange cafe when I guy talks through a fence and I’m Scottish. Soups a decent one costs with bred say £7-8 each, the crackers thing and was it cheese probably worth £3 each. Coffee say £4-5 each and that size of cake honestly each £5 each so you probably don’t do to bad. They certainly didn’t take as we Scot’s say “taking the piss” it’s a cafe on the way and that must add value. I’d have been disappointed if they had taken advantage but looked like home made stuff so fair fair.
So was this 'up' detour you had to do worse than the climb out of Kinlochlevan or the ascent from Glen Coe? Guess when you're tired, not having had much sleep, any 'up' is super challenging. So how do they serve lunch at the Eco Cafe when it's raining? Just a thought. Or was there an indoorsy bit behind the barricade?! You are such a lovely couple & I have thoroughly enjoyed walking with you. Thank you ❤
I’ve really enjoyed your treks through Scotland and can’t wait to see where you go next (Coast to Coast is good….just sayin’….). The Abriachan Cafe seems a bit different from when we visited (2012). We had a silver candelabra on our table…must have gone downhill!

Again, loved the vlog. Loved the lunch place because it was quirky. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it

Some people do these trails camping. See www.highland.gov.uk/greatglenway/homepage/15/access_and_camping_along_the_great_glen_way

Not sure what they do in the rain at Eco Cafe. We were just glad it was open!
Question? What FB group chat did you mention? I am inspired to do this trail. If I recover from the WHW enough I might give it a go!

I really feel like this was more pleasant than the West Highland Way --- would be interested to hear your thoughts
Comparison video coming out soon!
Wealth I ask not, hope, nor love,
Nor a friend to know me.
All I ask, the heaven above
And the road below me.
Beautiful!
laughing so hard about the cafe'... "No soup for you!". If you don't get that, others will. (Seinfeld) hahaha Everything was very beautiful! Congrats!
Glad you enjoyed it!
£40 is a good price.👍🏴
We thought so too! 🏴
I don't think his Grandfather did the same thing, he's English 😊
Pooping, when you gotta go you gotta go. 🤗

What’s the name of the FB group
Nvm. Found it
Scotland didn’t stop whiskey production. The English did to punish the Scottish.
Thanks! I knew there was some history there but not enough. Appreciate the heads up!
