That is a very impressive grill & mouthwatering beef you ended up presenting. Fist bump my man. I have a prime tri-tip slow cooking now as we speak. Waiting to get her seared up as well. Thanks for what you do Greg!
Hey Greg, that looks really delicious but PLEASE USE degrees CELSIUS for everyone outside USA ! Just put the degrees Celsius onto the screen if you don't want to say it aloud.
Nice of you to help Guga out like that. He could definitely use the views. It’s good to throw the little guys a bone every now and then… no pun intended.
Smoked a couple of tomahawk steaks before and im still trying to figure one thing out. I used hickory pellets on a traeger then sear on a gas grill. For some reason, both times, it had a slight "beef hotdog" taste on the steak. Not disastrous because i like hotdogs. But no idea why it happens.
Doing my first tomahawk today and I’m very new to grilling. Nervous about making sure it comes out edible. I’ll be using this video as a reference throughout the cook thanks for the awesome video. Definitely went on and smashed the subscribe button!
I’ve already been jaggin’ to cook a tommy, and now this video just pushed me over the edge. The weather hasn’t been cooperating here in NorCal, but it’s improving enough to give it a run. Thanks for the pellet cook demo!
Absolutely amazing looking tomahawk Greg! I keep catching myself drooling over one like that in the butcher shop and now I guess I'll finally have to break down and buy one since I have the LSG pellet smoker too. Can't wait to try your recipe!
👋🏽 do you happen to have any videos of you using your newer pattypusher+ for smashburgers. Was trying to decide on buying one but wanted to see in action first.
Looks awesome! I think Guga said that his rub does not contain any salt (I could be wrong here about the sold product, but I seem to remember him say something like that about the way he makes it at home). Either way, clearly it didn't matter with something that delicious on its own.
Great steak Greg that being said I would never sear a steak in a pellet grill ( I have 3) look at all the pellet dust and getting on you’re high dollar steak coals or gas grill for me.
Do you find a difference if you bring it up in indirect heat to 115° and then immediately sear on high heat to hit 125° and then pull it off to rest. Vs Bring it up with indirect heat to 125° then pull it to rest and then go back on high heat after resting to then sear? I usually do the first one and it turns out great but I’m curious on the end result.
Local boy.....I'm up in Alpine. Did you get the Tomahawk from the El Cajon Harvest Ranch? They have some awesome stuff there. I also go to Valley Farms. I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on a LSG for quite a while now. I currently have a YS640.
Sup Greg, beautiful tomahawk and cook bro👍, yea guga has to grow his channel lol, I get 1 tomahawk a year for anniversary and give 2 months notice to butcher $$$ lol, I'm stealing the cooking method. I use bone suckin sauce seasoning but have guga's seasoning I got for birthday, will do exact cook next time👍, I drooled all over floor watching, very expensive but everyone should atleast once, we camp for anniversary and no kids, then I turkey hunt in morning as she sleeps and back in time for steak and eggs ect.. breakfast, wow, tyvm tc 🍔
@@BallisticBBQ love it👍, she still gets her spa day gift card and whatever I can think up lol, on way to honeymoon broke down so camped lol, now it's tradition.
*GREG* Off topic a bit, but I'm still looking through your vids for "your" best version of Love's Restaurant BBQ Beans. Did you ever tackle that job or should I just experiment by using the 'closest to original' sauce you came up with and add some of that glaze with the pickling spices?? Don't wanna nag but I've been trying to duplicate those beans for... decades. The copycat recipes online are NOT the real deal. I KNEW I spotted pickling spices in that sauce years ago! Thanks for all the great Q. 💋from up the road in L.Niguel.
Honestly, I think this version is the closest to the real-deal. ruclips.net/video/EWOWNFoIwnc/видео.html. One of my viewers shared the Love's BBQ Bean Recipe, that was shared with him (from a pit master). I plan on doing a video on that.
I don't know what you paid for such a steak, but I always have several of such in my freezer. You should try Jimmy P's Wagyu, about $100 for such a steak. (Warning) once you go Wagyu, there's no going back. It's kinda like ordering a steak at the Restaurant once you've learned how to Charcoal grill your own. No point in setting yourself up for disappointment, right? "Cheers"

Sir just stop! You had me until medium rare. We ALL know this is not that. Not sure why you do that. Anywho, looks good, just know how to cook a steak, not just for women.
🤣🤣🤣 Guga has a tiny little channel that needs to grow! BEST JOKE EVER!
He's probably more popular than this channel lol
The color on that chunk of meat was something else! Cheers!
The description of the bone was spot on!
Great cook!
Guga is huge, but this channel is real!
Always a treat to learn Greg has dropped a new video!

The call to sub Guga was epic!
The KING of steaks right there! Collab with you n Guga would be cool!
Beautifully done. Absolute success👍😊
Love the grill
Wall-to-Wall perfect cook Greg! Thanks! - Love Guga! - Cheers!
Great video mister. Thanks again!
Happy New Year Greg!! Woowee that tomahawk turned out amazing!! Perfectly cooked. GUGAAAA!! Lol just love you both 🤩🤩
Happy New Year!
Badass Steak, Badass Pellet Grill, Badass Channel!

I need an LSG in my life. Fingers crossed!
I love this channel.
I like mine medium, but you nailed that cook.
I go to Harvest Ranch too. Buy you a cup of coffee is I see you there.
Nice of you to help Guga out like that. He could definitely use the views. It’s good to throw the little guys a bone every now and then… no pun intended.
PS. That rub is Bussin.
Looked very tender and juicy. Glad to see you Greg.

Holy shit man! That steak could feed a family!

Another good one! I have a tomahawk steak in the freezer that needs cooked. I don't have a pellet smoker, so I'll cook it offset over lump charcoal.
I’ve already been jaggin’ to cook a tommy, and now this video just pushed me over the edge. The weather hasn’t been cooperating here in NorCal, but it’s improving enough to give it a run. Thanks for the pellet cook demo!
Beautiful
Man look at the smoke that Lonestar puts off! Wish I could afford one but I do love my OG Grilla ^_^
Mouth watering. Greg, what would be your guess as to what was the average time interval between flipping the steak to get the sear? Just curious.
With that rub I was going about 20 seconds before each flip, and I was flipping until I got the color I was looking for.
That is an amazing looking steak even before you cooked it!
Looks so yummy!
Absolutely amazing looking tomahawk Greg! I keep catching myself drooling over one like that in the butcher shop and now I guess I'll finally have to break down and buy one since I have the LSG pellet smoker too. Can't wait to try your recipe!
Enjoy, Jeff!
Great looking steak. Pellet grills actually give the perfect smoke on steaks.

Absolutely Heavenly ❤. Thank You So Much For this Lesson. I’m Grilling a A5 Wagyu Today. 😊. Guga ❤. Cheers 🍻 Greg ✅
Rock on Mike! Enjoy that A5 brother!

Wow 🤩 that steak looked amazing, brother! Perfectly cooked but what else would I expect lol. Cheers 🍻

Outstanding job brother steak looks delicious
I will try this tomorrow but on my Traeger. Looks great.
Out of Bounds cook and results! Wow!

Greg, do you ever get meat from Valley Farms? One of my favorites.
Beautiful steak my friend!!
Great steak Greg that being said I would never sear a steak in a pellet grill ( I have 3) look at all the pellet dust and getting on you’re high dollar steak coals or gas grill for me.
Damn I am hungry now. This needs to come with a warning in the title. Looks amazing.
What smoker are you using?

Yes, the El Cajon location and Valley Farms are two of my Go-To places for good meat! I'm really loving this LSG!

Impressive but u would’ve put a huge cast iron plank in top of that fire element and put steak on that to get better criat

Yeah GuGa don’t need you‼️🥱🤣🤣

What a waste of money on that bone.
There's a few good ways to cook a Tomahawk steak, but 1 good way to eat it. Grab it by its handle and walk away caveman style!
Tomahawks are a waste of good money. I'd eat that, but never buy one.
