Hi thank you, I appreicate you taking the time to look and comment. I'm always trying to improve! New videos soon, i'm a bit behind with it as have been developing and scanning film

Still waiting yrs later. You’re amazing. Just blooming beautiful works. My m8 wants to get into model photography & he’s very shy, an introvert. This I can share with him. I get it, I never paid for a model. Girls in Uni was not shy & eventually, they pay us. Hehe. Guys tend be shy except if in sorts or gym. They wanna show off. I needed up more in sports action press
Thanks mate! You can see how scared I was of the camera back then, even my voice was locked up for the first 1-2yrs. Tell him the model ebook is coming. Tell him to follow MrLeica.com to get the updates. Cheers
It's always good to see you work and now interesting to see you. I may be wrong but you seem to have real integrity which is a too rare virtue. I will not be doing model shooting but your work and thoughts spill over into general photography which is why you are as meaningful as you are. Thanks for the vid and good luck in all.
Thanks Zoltan! RUclips is a good excuse to improve myself as well as share my passion (I'm finding). Integrity was a strong part of my past jobs and upbringing so I guess it's all I know.
Hi Matt. Just watched this today. Really appreciate your openness and candour - and your “getting over your fears”‘in video ;) Would be great to meet up with you again if your ever pass through London
Hey Matt, it's the first time I've seen this video & I must say your very brave. There's no way I could get my head around portrait photography let alone Glamour photography, I just couldn't do it. So well done to you, most of what I've seen of your Glam stuff is lush...... 👍
Thanks Nigel, it was a near vertical learning curve as I couldn't even hold eye contact with a female before. It's photography that pulled me through, the drive to make photos. I have a lot to thank photography for. (If you're in the UK and would like to attend a model workshop sometime I would be happy to introduce you to it..not as scary as we would think).
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Hi Matt, I'm actually in France with no interest in returning to the UK until things get more or less back to normal. but when we do come over it would be great to attend one of your workshops. in the meantime I'll stick to photographing old towns & buildings.
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Believe me, I really understand what you mean! For me it was both photography and singing in front of large crowds. It's still a work in progress but we're getting there...
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom Oh and awesome portraits by the way. I spent a few hours watching your work on Flickr. I was trying to guess which chemicals a lab used on a roll of TriX of mine. Some of your works with Xtol seem very close. I'm new to that but what does the additional dose of Rodinal bring to the equation?
Thanks for a very insightful video. You show great courage in sharing such sensitive thoughts and feelings. I just subscribed to your channel. Out of curiosity, what job did you have before you became a professional glamour photographer?
Matt--Here's a brief idea: If you came through my elected home town (Istanbul) and did an all day shoot, how would you feel about splicing in a one hour tutorial on model and/or portrait photography? Participants would come from a local photo group and would pay for your expert instruction. Most would be digital shooters, but no one is perfect...
Hi Jeremy, I'd love that. Happy to teach for a full day as part of a multi day trip if the interest is there. The light and colours look fantastic there and I know many models sent there over the years to work. Happy to teach any level, film or digital. Would you like to send me an email sometime, perhaps once we can fly easier, actually Instagram might be easier for you - @MrLeicaCom Thanks for reaching out.
this is the best video I ve seen until now ; mayhap it s the bestest on you tube and this is coming from an old painter and Mediaeval Art historian ( still hate you for all your Leica thingies )
I lived in UK for 8 years. Brits hate having their pictures taken. If you manage to find attractive females they most likely will succumb into paranoia when offered photo shoot and keep ignoring you or block you on-line. Now I'm in Guernsey and it's the same. I totally get why you like Eastern Europe. I can't wait to go back home where people are more approachable, reliable and know what commitment means. You should check out this FP, Matt - facebook.com/Michauowice These are periodical gatherings of models, photographers, make up artists and costume designers in Polish mountains. Any questions, just ask.
Hi Matt, It will take me some time to organize a glamor shoot here, but I think the idea is worth chasing. I will explain further. Could you send me your email address? (I don't do social media.)
Don't ever put yourself down. Your images speak for themselves!

Finally you have a face! I am also naturally shy but after the model sessions begin, all my thoughts are on the model/pose.

Interesting video. I use the camera partly as a "aid" during social events... and to document.
I get where you're coming from. I started shooting partly to overcome my social anxiety.
