Jack, this is a landscape project for us regular people, lol. While it’s a smaller project, it will make a huge impact in the backyard. I enjoy your bigger projects and always come away with some inspiration, but these smaller ones are a bit more relatable for me. Looking forward to seeing the completed project!😊
When you referred to the neighborhood as “darling “ it reminded me of your grandmother. One of the terms she used when something really impressed her. ❤️
Part 2 of this project, please. The house is stunning and with your talent, it will be over the top. Thank you for sharing this project, it's going to be very beautiful. 🌿💚🌿
What an utterly charming neighborhood. If nothing else, in front.... I would add potted seasonal plants inside the small circular shrubs surrounding the tree/bush in the center. Even leaving them in the pots seasonally. Fall mums, poinsettias... spring lillies. A tree lined street is my dream. I have been in my home 52 years.. and every time a home sells on my street...the new owners cut down all the trees. Its heartbreaking to me. They have taken away all the charm over the years. I hope you will post the progress of this gorgeous backyard on RUclips. I don't do Instagram. Love all the hard scape and plantings ..and surrounding arborvitae. I love the structure these mature trees lend to the garden.
Love that you are sharing the smaller projects! Its more in-tuned with what I’m able to do here at my house. I’m dying for a pergola. Please post the update so I can show the hubby! 😂
And I am impressed by your passion for smaller projects! Your dedication to detail and craftsmanship shines in this nearly completed beauty. Your ability to create something remarkable from start to finish is truly admirable. And I am Floating Village Life.
Going to be such a beautiful, private space for the homeowners. Can't wait to see the pergola. We know what those little "pauses" with permits mean here in Florida. 😅 Keep us posted on your progress.
Jack, You have such a calming, creative mind. I love your work! What are those evergreen columnar trees. Do the stay on the smaller side. I have a small courtyard backyard and need something to grow very near the house that will not damage the foundation. I like the look of those trees. Thank you!
I absolutely love all your work. And your signature bye as you click your teeth is just the BEST ever. So here is cheers to you and congratulations on all the hard work you do whether big or small it is all the best
I’d agree with you but in some instances can be an improvement, but it has to be done correctly and with the right type of paint. With historical masonry work, it can actually hasten deterioration.
Please warn your clients that in summer the faux grass will get extremely hot in the sun (as hot as asphalt) and their dog’s paws may get burnt. Low maintenance has its disadvantages
I used artificial turf in my front yard. 1. I have many trees and grass was not working, and 2. I have a dog who is tied out front when she goes out and she decimated what lawn I had. Artificial grass was the answer. Nice and tidy and always green!
For those critical of the vinyl fence and artificial turf, remember that Jack has to work around his client’s wishes and concerns to deliver his final product. Myself, I detest shiney plastic vinyl fences, especially the lower end ones sold at the big boxes, that begin to sag after a few years. Artificial turf?, maybe in a desert landscape but never in Michigan, but again it’s what the clients wanted. Personally, I’d have chosen a hardscape that incorporates grass and lets rainwater drain through efficiently. Lastly, there is no such thing as “maintenance free”.
For sure- it is “low maintenance “- but not maintenance free…. And working with their desires and making it work and look really amazing is a challenge I enjoy~~~

Thank the owners Jack! It matters not the size of any project 😊 😊
Thanks to the homeowners for sharing their space! It’s going to be a great backyard. I really like the color scheme on the house.

Thanks Jack!

Step was the perfect accident.
very nice....love your channel
Thanks for sharing😉

I have a small project house Jack😊. Ohio isn’t too far from Michigan if you’re ever interested in some charity work!
I didn't know you needed a permit for tacky fake grass
What's with the board on the back of the garage? Is that a future doggy door or something? Looking forward to more videos - love these!
Hi 👋
I HATE when people paint their bricks!
😅
I’d agree with you but in some instances can be an improvement, but it has to be done correctly and with the right type of paint. With historical masonry work, it can actually hasten deterioration.

It’s real shady back there- and irrigated on the turf to keep it clean and cool~~~ should be good to go~
Why bother with fake grass. Just use simple pea gravel. Recent information notes that fake turf is really gross.

You lost me at artificial turf.
We don’t go there very often at all- but every once in awhile- it fits the niche….
A lot of people are doing that now. It looks really good !
Me too
That's kinda like putting fake flowers and silk plants in your garden landscape
But I still love you Jack ❤
Me too. I can't imagine the stink from the dogs urinating and defecating on it. How gross.
Plus I’ve heard it burns paws on pets when it’s hot outside.

You should let your hair grow long
I used to have a big ol pony tail…. That’s a lot of work….
@@JackBarnwellDesignI used to have hair, or as I tell my wife and friends, “I had it when I needed it”.
I think I could actually enjoy your videos if you could just please stop winking and clicking!
