One of the things i love about these tours is how excited Jack gets escorting the viewers through with him. I get as excited as he does to see it all. And weeding and pruning. Yes!!!

I want to thank you so much for making these videos showing the wonderful gardens of Mackinaw Island. I have been an avid gardener for 65 + years but have never had the opportunity to travel in that area of our country. You take such care to explain each landscape and the details of it and the names of the different plants it is so helpful and informative. I look forward to each and every one of your videos. You are such an exceptional young man. 🌸🌺🌷🌼

Loving the ‘quaintness’ of these gardens. Even though the gardens are new, they have a sense of evolving over time. This is so much more than just talent and skill you are showing, Jack.

You are an architect of dreams. The blank canvas photos give us opportunity to realize just how talented you are. I've never seen a stone staircase fronted by a stacked wall that I loved more than the one in the very beginning of the video. I love the large boulders scattered in the mix of dry stack. There are no words for the bridges. I can only imagine the homeowners joy with the landscape you have created for them. Cheers from Montana

Your designs, stonework and beautiful plantings will become a part of the islands history. What a meaningful legacy you will leave behind, many, many years from now!!! You should be so proud.

Happy you show pictures before and after it makes you ready appreciate everything you can see. You and your crew do amazing work!!! You make it look like it's so easy to take a piece of land and turn it into a masterpiece of beautiful gardens. It inspires me to get out in my yard and do more, but then I realize how much money it would take and doing it by myself wouldn't be possible. Haha. So I guess I have to stick to one or two big projects a season and maybe by time I am 50 years old my yard will be amazing. 😁🌼🌻 All my visitors think my yard is absolutely gorgeous, but I just keep dreaming of what I want it to look like. I am dying for a greenhouse and a pond or some sort of water feature.
Thank you for showing us all the beautiful gardens.

And when you're 50 you'll start all over.
I'm nearly 64 and loving retirement and confinement. My long-neglected gardens are starting to be restored. Today I worked on weeding and transplanting a favorite peony (Paula Faye) that couldn't produce a bloom for all the shade cast by surrounding volunteer trees. Thanks to my new "toy," a cordless reciprocating saw, I am taking back my gardens. I ran across some perennials I'd long forgotten about. I'm amazed they're still thriving under those conditions.

Ferns are good under River birch~ being herbaceous, they can be cut back in fall so that you can do a good spring clean up, but then the fronds cover much of the spring storm mess~~ try lady in red ferns under them… plant lots :)
