    Also check the condition of your winch strap. Mine failed on a 5 year old trailer.

      That's a tilt trailer. It's designed to pivot. It makes it easier to retrieve and launch the boat.

    people are dumb, I fish tournaments and see guys unhook their boats in the parking lot and back down the ramp or pull up on the trailer and then just drive off without attaching the ratchet strap or safety strap and I cringe every time. Saw one slide right off the trailer on a steep ramp a couple years ago. Brand New Triton bass boat and it had a 3 foot mark down the bottom all the way down to the glass all the gel coat was gone.. its literally ignorant to do this
