Great video of a great street opportunity as most people are not aware of you taking pics in all the hustle and bustle. Keep it up mate your doing a great job!!
The 'fiver' shot was well worth it - great. You probably said in the vid, but what's the camera you are using? Glad to see a street photographer who uses digital. All these hair-brained 'younguns' using film now, is such a waste of their money and resources. Digital is magical and like the great Steve McCurry, I was very glad to kiss it goodbye a couple of decades ago.
I love watching your RUclips videos Gary and it was great to see your wife involved as well so when can we see her photos as well Gary. I love the Man smoking and the homeless person who was trying to kid a kidder for £20 hahaha 🤣😂
Have to admit I do the same thing B.S. with people & if I pay someone it's not much for me & I don't care if they drugs or alcohol, good luck to them for what give.
I dunno I don’t see the problem with giving a homeless person money. And don’t see a problem if it’s transactional if they want to earn a quick buck. The only problem I would see is if we as photographers are intentionally deceiving our audience in how we got a striking photo. For me, my own rule though is to never use compassion as a strategy to get a photo.
yeah I’m not sure I get what’s saying - it’s like your suggesting I see a problem with it. Or maybe I’m reading it that way. Also I don’t see a problem with how anybody does anything. 🤷♂️
@@LASHMAR maybe I missed what you were really saying? “Sometimes my street portraits can come off like I had a strong connection … that’s not always the case.” I took that as the interaction with the old dude at the end and paying him was what you were referring to. It was transactional. And I was just saying that’s fine. 🤣
