about tvs not coming with the old video inputs depends on the country, I live in Ecuador and we still watch tv in analog signal, sure we have digital signal too and most modern tvs must be modded by those brands to be sold in our country, so even modern tvs accept analog signal, including composite video in, component in and vga dvi in

My Installer has the option to fully set up your HDD.
Main Manu : Format & Setup / Backup Recovery. There are so much options to set up a HDD you will never ever need all of them. So thrash Hexen once and for all. ;)

Retrogamerdepot on the 'bay makes (or has) a great 80 ide cable replacement that has the correct length and direction of the cables.
The other options bug me with the wonky length and having to flip things
Had a modded xbox many many years ago but the HD crashed and never backed up the games. I have been looking to get another one and was about to just buy a modded one until i came across your video. Very helpful tutorial 👍

You can easaly fix your xbox if it only hdd. Just read your eeprom hdd key and lock new one with that key.
@@Protector1rk I no longer have that xbox. I tossed it about 20 years ago. I failed at doing the TSOP mod and ended up chipping it. I havent finished it yet as its a slow process to DL all these game files 1-2hrs a day. I havent done the file transfer portion before so im slow and i had someone do it for me last time as they already had all the files
You might want to let people know that the nexus fan doesn't push the volume and should be adjusted so it keeps the system within temperature operating limits.
Interesting to see how people do it today. I put Xenium Ice modchips in a crapload of Xboxes back in the day. Has a ton of helpful functionality. Mine still works great today.
Did you fail to partition your drive correctly in this video? I'm only seeing 123GB in F: and nothing in G: so it's behaving like you don't have an LBA48-compatible bios.

Why not just flash the chip with the old HDD before you build it with the new one and then swap it out? Seems like you could. I am about to do this and thought I would ask. Thanks!
My Xbox is softmod unlocked, and I have an 80GB HD. I want to put a 500 GB SSD, which bios flash do I choose? And then install the xbmc4games dasboard. Sorry for my English, I used Google Translate, I'm from Brazil.

Thanks! I've never worked with an XBOX that had the RAM upgrade, so I can't say for sure. There may be a specific BIOS version on the disc for the higher RAM

I see that you used a 320 gb drive but in some of the apps that you showed I only saw 123 gb in f drive. Is it a bug on those apps?

It looks like he didn't partition the drive properly. It's acting like he didn't use an LBA48-compatible bios to go beyond the old capacity limit (and you can see G: is not reading anything).
What file format are your games? I ahve seen games that are xiso for XEMU on a certain website that stores things and they are anywhere from 2-6 gb a piece.
XISO. Some games are smaller than a GB
will this let you use it for insignia , i mean can you access the original dashboard to set up insignia?
You will need to install the Xbox dash from the disc in order to access it

My xbox has a chip how can i tell if the person did the tsop solder thing? Stuck in Spanish too how can i set it to English?
A properly chipped XBOX is better than a TSOP for a few reasons. One being that you can switch between BIOS with a switch. Not sure about the language change

so you don´t need to care about the HDD password after the rom is flashed? btw I only have a 1,6 so that is a bummer. but it is in very good shape
You can do anything with a 1.6, I have, put in a 2tb HDD, installed all my games and putting coinops on it for mame/arcade. I used the Rocky5 softmod (unleashx)

@@one800beatdownI find Cerbios as a better 16TB alternative especially since it supports higher data transfers at UDMA6 while Titan is stuck at UDMA5

If you want every game ever made for XBOX and all emulators a 1.5TB drive would be fine. I'm not even sure the XBOX would recognize anything over a 2TB
