@@Muffy.from-Oz thank you! I always believe if you use the best materials, it’ll pay off in the long run. That can be a 2B pencil or it can be 100% cotton paper. When I taught children I always insisted their parents buy the best materials for the age group - not the stuff I use (I wouldn’t do that to the parents!) but not far off. I didn’t want the kids becoming frustrated. So yes, it’s expensive, but you usually get what you pay for when it comes to art…and if it’s less expensive but top quality, you can trust that I will pass on savings.
What a great bag for your holiday sketching. You are going to need to get these sketches out when winter sets in for sure. It looks like paradise. I’m glad I’m not the only one who wears a hat like that in the sun. (I made mine)

How glorious you looked on the video, my eye sight was poor! I’m one that has over the years been burnt so badly I’m fearful! 😉It’s crazy that I live in Southern California where there is mostly desert views. I cover up to do my watering of the plants and birdbaths. I watch your videos in longing for the coolness, even on vacation you’re having a time of it! Oh to be by the sea, no matter the weather! This week the weather has been hellish between 108-112 degrees Fahrenheit. 😉
That’s it exactly: we spent the entire time right beside either the sea or the pool. Me - always in the shade even when just out of the water and covered in sunscreen because sun like that is DANGEROUS! I really felt like I’d been very foolish to allow myself to burn, even if it was only a very small bit on my back. A big no-no for me. We didn’t do any sightseeing because of the heat, so it was all about the water and the shade…bliss.
@@roisincure I’ve gotten to the point now where I put sunscreen on in the hotel room and have my hubby apply to back area so it has a chance to absorb and I don’t miss a spot. Then I reapply through out the day. I still burn, but not as bad. My hubby and son tan beautifully of course. It’s so smart that you also wear a sun hat! My poor scalp and ears has been burned many times because of an overcast day tricked me! 😉🤩

Where in Europe is this place? I am from Sydney Australia, so I’ve never heard of this place. My family is from Sicily and we do have a lot of prickly Pear plants there and looks very similar to Sicily. Let me know because I’d love to go there one day. Also my problem is when I sit down to sketch, and I look at something, I find it hard to fit it in my sketchbook or paper, I have trouble with trying to fit it all in and things get either squashed…or not in perspective, any tips?🙏💕
@@towardsthelight4919 the answer to the first is easy, like I said in the video it’s Gozo in Malta (I did mention it a few times I think and it’s also in the description). The answer to the second isn’t so easy, it’s a long question with a long answer! Here’s a tip though: I find if I make a shape with very dilute paint first, I’ll know if the scale is correct. If not you can wash it away (before it dries) and start again. Sometimes I try three times, it can be very frustrating!
Oh sorry obviously I didn't hear it and now I looked it is on your description no wonder it reminded me of Sicily Malta and Sicily are very close in culture and even language as well also thanks for the tip I guess practice makes perfect🙏💞

Will the Sketch Pocket be available without all of the goodies (pen, watercolor paints, sketchbook etc) for those of us who already have our kit but just need a good bag to put the kit in ???

@@j.m.1806 we must all try to do what we can. I’m glad you’re trying. The manufacture of the phone you and I are using right now is a problem too. I’m just doing what I can to spread an “analog” activity that brings great joy to people, which I know because I’ve been a teacher for a great many years. This product is a good news story. But I’m glad you raised the issue: I delved further into it as a result, and it’s even better than I thought, which was lovely to discover.
