In a world where everything, including financial stability, can be shaken, Jonathan Stanfield, lead elder of Four12 Global partnering church Living Hope, exhorts us to seek first the King and His Kingdom. Using the palm tree and Psalm 92 to paint a picture, he reminds us that when we are rooted in Jesus, we will bear fruit no matter our circumstances. He also brings to our attention that everything we have belongs to the Lord, and so, when we give we are simply giving back to Him what is already His, and when we withhold, we are in fact robbing from God. He points us to the truth that we never give to get, but that we get to give - and in doing so, reflect the nature of our generous Father.
