Handouts and developmental aid is another and the list is long. We need to learn to fish and not depend on the fish sent to us. Good political leadership provide the right environment for entrepreneurship to flourish. God gives us Power to get wealth . Deut 8:18. This statement from God is true even in bad political leadership. The wealthy do not become wealthy by handouts or because they are saved. I also agree w/ the writer, during slavery, that was the ultimate the slave masters was getting something for nothing. The slaves wasn't paid for their labor, & yes slaveowners & their families has been prosperous on the back 9f the black slaves that worked w/ out getting compensated for it. Give honor to whom honor is due is also in the Word of God & many other scriptures supporting the ungodliness of slavery to the black people. Getting something for nothing is an interesting concept. Like forcing people to work for you without compensation and then get a subsidy when they no longer work for you.
I agree with you. Enslaving and taking land from others is wrong. Benefiting from.someone elses work (slavery) and denying folks access to a better surrounding (redling) is wrong. Governments have done this for decades and need to pay. Some of us need to research our history before talking about who shouldn't be compensated. Did Andrew talk about the Japanese when they were compensated? Did he mention the Native American for their compensation? Why mention the Blacks only? And before the Jews left Egypt they didn't leave empty-handed.

My reality is not just part of my thinking it’s also the fact I chose to raise my own children and I’m a single mother with my ex husband and ex partners left me had affairs etc so that means I can’t work full time and earn as much as others. I chose not to put my kids in the childcare system to be raised by strangers. So I had to go with out to have my children. When are the single mums who sacrificed their lives for kids going to be blessed more ? I give to charities to children who are disabled for their medical treatments and much more. And I’ve had people steal thousands is dollars from me.
There are things you can put your hand to work to even with children, I’m a single parent of an autistic boy and praise God the Lord shows me what to do, and he wants to do the same for you just ask him!

Isn't that what social security does? We work and have worked all of our lives and there are people who have never held a job that are sucking up our hard earned money. It's okay for a season of each of our lives, but there should be a cap on the giving without them doing for themselves.

I've been tremendously blessed by Andrew Wommack's ministry for years. However, I don't agree that it's wrong to get quick riches. That is a very general statement and it depends on WHO receives the windfall and the HEART of the one who receives it. The Bible also talks about the guys who had the talents (coins) and the one who invested his talents pleased his lord and received a good return. My husband and I have invested in something and are about to receive an incredible return. We have already put together a long list of everyone and every source we plan to bless along with anonymously blessing those who will have no idea who it's from and will ONLY be able to give the glory to God. So it's not always wrong to gain wealth quickly, but it IS wrong (in my opinion) to teach that it's wrong without knowing the heart of the one who prayed for quick wealth and invested properly in order to get a return in order to bless others.
Investment is not getting something for nothing. Andrew invests actually. He never taught that investment is wrong. He's against welfare when you are absolutely capable of working. He's also against gambling, lottery, communism ie taking from the rich and giving it to people who wouldn't work for a living. If an investment your husband and you has made brings you a great returns, I think that's a blessing from God (unless you've invested in something wrong).
If you don't love money you'll have none and then they ask for offerings, the love of mamon the demon of greed is the root of all evil. Listen to Rev. Ike!

Hmmm, so while I think there are many good points to this sermon, I think it is ungodly to assume that everyone who is homeless or on welfare are lazy people wanting handouts that don’t contribute to society. Through my church that works with the local homeless shelter, I have met lovely people who had PHDs and fell on hard times when they were laid off without getting hired before losing their home and vehicle. Not to mention widows and women who are parenting single from abusive relationships that chose to not terminate pregnancy. It is lazy and ungodly to negatively label and disregard an entire group of people without bothering to examine the underlying economic and social conditions that have contributed to their situations. This especially goes for the welfare system that force women to remain unwed with low pay. It’s designed in a way to keep people locked into their economic situations in communities that lack equitable education and resources.
Lord please help me to do things Your way and not my way in all areas of my life. Finically, physically, spiritually, emotionally, etc.

The word of God says give to the poor and expect nothing back, Mr sanders is 100% right the only thing I would add is we should give to the poor , the widows etc if we are in the situation of blessings , we cannot serve God and money , remember Jesus had no where to lay his head and the apostle paul says he knew how to go with and to go without poverty is not a sign of a curse there are plenty of God filled people in desperate poverty who are filled with the power of God more then prosperity teachers who chase 💰, 🙏

What a great truth, and what a great insight into the heart of God who inspired this verse. God wants us prosperous and well and for prosperity to happen as our souls prosper. He wants you restored, prosperous, and for all your needs to be met. He is a good God!

i was just about to say this bible verse before i seen a video on it God gives you power to get wealth hes a rewarder of those that diligently seek him he came that you may have life and have it more abundantly he wishes above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers first seek ye the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you..the blessing of the lord maketh rich and he adds no sorrow with it...Money is a defense and wisdom is a defense but the excelelncy of wisdom is wisdom gives life to them that have it and so many other verses but people like to act like God isnt about money cause of verses like the love of money is the root of all evil those that have coveted after it have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows and verses talking about woe to the rich and all that...Woe to the rich you have received your consolation woe to them that are full etc Its easier for a man to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God with man its impoosible but not with God...They that will be rich fall into temptation and and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lust which drown men in destruction and perdition... Beware of covetousness be content with the things you have i will never leave you nor forsake you and a mans life does not consist in the abundance of the things which he posseses..and man other verses talking about woe to the rich that heap up treasure for the last days their riches ae corrupted and they stole from and defrauded the people that worked in their fields and their crys came before the ears of the lord and verses talking about the cretians teaching things they ought not for filthy lucre they are always liars etc...just alot of verses in scripture on money you have to have it in the right context for people talking about prosperity gospel and blessings and they are all against that these scriptures are inspired by God by the holy spirit take it up with him blessed are those that keep his commandedments makes friends with the unrighteous mammon.. Money answers all things..All these verses are in the bible but whatever..

My reality is not just part of my thinking it’s also the fact I chose to raise my own children and I’m a single mother with my ex husband and ex partners left me had affairs etc so that means I can’t work full time and earn as much as others. I chose not to put my kids in the childcare system to be raised by strangers. So I had to go with out to have my children. When are the single mums who sacrificed their lives for kids going to be blessed more ? I give to charities to children who are disabled for their medical treatments and much more. And I’ve had people steal thousands is dollars from me.
There are things you can put your hand to work to even with children, I’m a single parent of an autistic boy and praise God the Lord shows me what to do, and he wants to do the same for you just ask him!

I work everyday to earn money as a therapist. My work is extremely physically demanding and I’m basically a counselor too.
What if we did all what is to be done, worked for more than forty years, put our money in the bank for our retirement, cuz we don’t have any pension plans in our country (LEBANON), (my son worked hard in foreign countries as well and saved his money here) and then ALL what we have saved is lost because of the corrupted and bad political figures and people in authority 😢 and now we r at an age that we can’t work and we need the money!!!!!! This is not a result of bad decision we have taken!!!!!!!?????? I know it is not God’s desire and plan for us but if I can find an answer to that ..................🙌🏼
did you pay tithes and offerings? if the government stole it from you God will give it back to you...just keep believing and dont get out of Faith. Gods not the one who causes bad things to happen....

Hi Craig please listen to Kevin Zadai he is such an example of how God blessings will come upon you. Kevin Zadai literally go out to do stuff for people who can pay you back. Like homeless, struggling families, basically poor people are the ones to help.

Isn't that what social security does? We work and have worked all of our lives and there are people who have never held a job that are sucking up our hard earned money. It's okay for a season of each of our lives, but there should be a cap on the giving without them doing for themselves.

I've been tremendously blessed by Andrew Wommack's ministry for years. However, I don't agree that it's wrong to get quick riches. That is a very general statement and it depends on WHO receives the windfall and the HEART of the one who receives it. The Bible also talks about the guys who had the talents (coins) and the one who invested his talents pleased his lord and received a good return. My husband and I have invested in something and are about to receive an incredible return. We have already put together a long list of everyone and every source we plan to bless along with anonymously blessing those who will have no idea who it's from and will ONLY be able to give the glory to God. So it's not always wrong to gain wealth quickly, but it IS wrong (in my opinion) to teach that it's wrong without knowing the heart of the one who prayed for quick wealth and invested properly in order to get a return in order to bless others.
Investment is not getting something for nothing. Andrew invests actually. He never taught that investment is wrong. He's against welfare when you are absolutely capable of working. He's also against gambling, lottery, communism ie taking from the rich and giving it to people who wouldn't work for a living.
If an investment your husband and you has made brings you a great returns, I think that's a blessing from God (unless you've invested in something wrong).

Hmmm, so while I think there are many good points to this sermon, I think it is ungodly to assume that everyone who is homeless or on welfare are lazy people wanting handouts that don’t contribute to society. Through my church that works with the local homeless shelter, I have met lovely people who had PHDs and fell on hard times when they were laid off without getting hired before losing their home and vehicle. Not to mention widows and women who are parenting single from abusive relationships that chose to not terminate pregnancy. It is lazy and ungodly to negatively label and disregard an entire group of people without bothering to examine the underlying economic and social conditions that have contributed to their situations. This especially goes for the welfare system that force women to remain unwed with low pay. It’s designed in a way to keep people locked into their economic situations in communities that lack equitable education and resources.
