I think Gavin hit the nail on the head in that his fan base is into song lyrics. Also I personally have loved the music more that he has written on his own bc it feels so genuine and personal. I think the Segway to country was so natural especially with the way music is going these days. I was at the show at Morongo and it was absolutely amazing!
