I said I was done! Haha Nope… Happy it played out the way it did with the color guides. Also really thrilled with how the commission came out. There are still signs of Dan’s work when you look at it up close and I love that!
Just when you thought you were out, the color guides pull you back in! 😆 Don't worry about it, Carl. The two main reasons they're addictive is that they are fun AND affordable. Keep getting them as long as they make you happy. 👍 Congrats on getting the inking done on the Jurgens piece. It looks great!
They are for sure fun! Just goes to show you though, this hobby is always full of surprises. Never know what might pop up and change your plans! Definitely love being able to have both the original art & the color guide.
I think color guides are great. Often overlooked by most collectors. I think it’s awesome when you can pair an original and a color guide together. Congrats!!
Thanks so much! Yeah, I agree they are quite fun, never really set out to have three full issues of color guides from the Electric Blue Supes era, but pleased with what I have! Paring the OA with the color guide is definitely fun!
Thank you Glenn! I’ll never stop singing your praises as the creative glue that truly helped visually sell these stories as all one huge story. The consistency in the color of the world was a key component to making it always feel like the same Metropolis throughout all of the different titles!
Subscribed from the triangle era Facebook page. Good stuff.
Looks absolutely great congratulations Carl
Much appreciated! It really turned out wonderful & staring at up close is such a treat!
Those two look very cool next to each other.
Agreed! It’s pretty fun to see them both together!
great stuff my man! You my friend are a winner!!!
Thanks Lance! I definitely feel lucky to have this one completed. Truly love how it turned out!!
Congrats on the pick ups. One day I'll get a Jurgens piece. One day...
If he heads back to OAX next year, you should make the trip! That show was a blast!
You can't leave the color guides.... As far as pencils/inking a copy/colors...it's all up to you Carl. A Beauty.

Do you get all your art from catskillcomics?
It seems like it lately! Scott is probably the art rep I’ve bought the most from over the years. I also buy a lot from Modern Mythology Comic Art.
