What I learned today: the team developing this game had no time limit to release it, meaning they had all the time in the world to finish. And this is what we get? Let's remove time limits from game development! Let those juices of creativity flow.

We can set a limit and make a game under pressure and make a good game. (RE7 under a year)
But we can also remove the restrictions and set the release date after the game is fully completed (Super Mario Bros. Wonder)
It depends on execution with the expertise on the people.
I personally love it when people take their time with development, because it shows that they are putting a lot of TLC into it. And this game is proof of that. This is also why I don't mind when games get delayed
Too bad Sega didn't learn that and became too concerned with making Anniversary dead-lines.
This is the first time in over a decade I'm actually excited for a 2d Mario. Mario Maker 3 better have this as a mode.

@@hucz Those are level makers using sprite-sheets from already existing games. This is the first truly new 2D Mario game since 2012.
i actually think smbw theme is gonna come to smm2 becaus nintendo said theyve been working on wonder for like forever and theres still the gaping "special themes" slot to be filled

Yoshis must be like incredibly stong to be able to hold a freaking elephant. Also Peach and Daisy elephant are absolutely adorable.
Matches up. In Yoshi's Island they could eat super fat Shy Guys, make them into eggs, and throw them just as easily and with enough force to cause earthquakes.

I really want to know the thought process behind the person who wrote the line "I wonder what Goombas taste like." They're sentient beings, so what does that say about that messed up flower? Are they going to wonder what humans, Toads, Yoshis, and whatever Nabbit is tastes like next?
Also, remember how everyone assumed there would be different animal transformations for each characters, because "it would be weird" if everyone turned into an elephant? Such innocent times.
Considering Mr. Martinet will no longer voice Mario, this game will start a new era.

This could be the Mario Odyssey for 2D Mario games. Everything that we've been waiting something new that isn't the quote on quote " New Super Mario Bros " while still retaining it's formula is alot to be desire. Like we haven't seen anything like this since Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins from the Game Boy and I'm very excited to see what's in stores.

awesome game, but the oled mario special edition is dumb, it's just red and the only details are behind the dock, not only behind it but also inside the lid, so you have to open the lid to see it, and it has nothing to do with Wonder.
