My favorite world is definitely Fungi Mines, but damn I never thought I'd like a desert world in a Mario game, yet here we are. Sunbaked Desert was so fun to go through and had many fun levels.
I’m actually a big fan of the deep magma bog, as it also has a jungle theming with the vines and “trees”, which also gives it a sort of forest fire theme
Idea for what they could've done. Since you're going against a sensei type presumably with a lot of skills, what if you fought him personally and dealt with a Popplin able to use their abilities to the max. Or, if you really have to have Bowser Jr., say it's some kind of illusion he made to fight, yeah its Bowser Jr again, but if the higher ups would really demand such
Here are my rankings for each world in Super Mario Bros Wonder 1. Sunbaked Desert (9/10) - For a desert world, this one’s VERY impressive with levels based off temples and ice caves. It’s no ordinary desert, unlike the New Super Mario Bros ones which are a 6 or 7. 2. Fungi Mines (9/10) - A forest made of mushroom trees, and underground slimy temples. This world was very unique, and the buildup to the end was very constructive. 3. Fluff Puff Peaks (8/10) - While the pink cloud levels are very interesting, they don’t stand out from each other too much. The main thing I like the most is the snowy and icy levels. 4. Deep Magma Bog (8/10) - As epic and interesting a volcanic world is in Mario games, this one doesn’t stand out as much as the others worlds do from other games. 5. Petal Isles (8/10) - Would’ve been a 7/10 for basic levels, but towards the end of Petal Isles, the level get more interesting and start to stand out more. Also, Bowser’s Castle was a great part of this world. 6. Pipe Rock Plateau (8/10) - For an introductory world, this one starts of very basic and gets more and more interesting overtime. This would’ve been a 7, but having a bunch of levels stand out from each other was the best first impression in a 2D Mario game. 7. Shining Falls (7/10) - While the waterfalls world was super cool, the levels hardly stood out from each other, and some of them were relatively bland. This world was still pretty good.
@@edwardshen6186 Wow! Sunbaked Desert is a bigger fan favorite world than I thought. Everyone seems to make that a Number 1 pick. Also, Shining Falls is on the bottom of everyone’s list, which means I’m not alone.
My ranking: 8: Shining Falls 7: Special World 6: Castle Bowser 5: Pipe-Rock Plateau 4: Fluff-Puff Peaks 3: Sunbaked Desert 2: Deep Magma Bog 1: Fungi Mines I count the Petal Isles courses as being part of the worlds they precede. It's a similar case for the Special World courses excluding the final three.
100% agree with your choices. Bravo. The desert world, does, indeed, provide a level of exploration I would like to see brought into future world maps. Super Mario World's map had such a focus on exploration (but with the added value of true design harmony (not just random colors and random atmospheres)), that I would LOVE to see become a new main theme of the 2D world map design process moving forward.
Sunbaked Desert might be my favourite desert themed world we have gotten in any 2D mario game. The many secrets it has with the overworld and palace are just so cool, and the new enemies in that world are probably my favourite ones.
Man, tough to rank these. I loved all of them. I guess for me it’d have to be: 8. Deep Magma Bog (good levels but it was just a typical lave themed world) 7. Shining Falls (a bit on the short side but was still great despite that) 6. Fluff-Puff Peaks (wish we spent a bit more time in the snow section) 5. Pipe-Rock Plateau (love the variety of level themes although I wish some of them were there own world, like the autumn one for example) 4. Special World (great, challenging levels) 3. Sunbaked Desert (loved the puzzle aspect of the world and all the secrets in it) 2. Fungi Mines (just an amazing world, also most of my favourite Wonder effects happen there) 1. Petal Isles (loved the idea of a world in between worlds, also the final four Bowser levels and final boss wonderful)
This game is one of the best Mario games of all time, it’s truely amazing. My world rankings are very similar to yours, my top 3 are world 4, World 1 and world 2. I’m still trying to 100% the game but I’m literally stuck on fluff puff peaks climb to the beat in the special world, just cannot complete it very frustrating, but will keep trying😊
My ranking would probably go: 8. Shining Falls A bit short, no boss, and repetitive use of the hoopycat transformation, though it does have some good levels and I like the idea of the master poplin trials. I think the biggest standout in this world is the visuals, the golden waterfalls and geometric cliffs are really interesting and distinctive. I just wish they did more with it. 7. Special World Pretty standard fare as 2D mario bonus worlds go, I really like the methods of accesing the worlds (outside of worlds 3 and 5's, those are total bs). In terms of actual levels it's kind of a mixed bag, the semi, final, and final-final tests are awesome and a good challenge, so is Climb to the Beat and Way of the Goomba imo. But the other levels either feel a bit too easy to be in the special world or unfairly difficult (looking at you, triple lakitu level). Overall a good secret final challenge though. 6. Petal Isles I do really like the idea of a connecting world, especially in the second half of the game where it opens up a bit more. The more difficult levels barring access to later world is great, and the levels here are really good. But the petal isles segments earlier on in the game are... not my favourite. At the end of the day, it is an underwater world, and the dolphin kick challenges and leaping smackerel level don't help its case of being just as slow and annoying as in every other 2D mario. Great soundtrack though, and the final level gauntlet is amazing. 5. Fluff-Puff Peaks This is a great second world, though not quite as good as the first. The level quality is pretty good overall with some standouts being the crusing lift and countdown platform levels, and it looks great. My only personal gripe would be that I wish there was more of a transition between the snow levels and the sky levels, since it feels a bit too rigidly divided between the two themes. Pole block passage was a good middle ground, I would have liked maybe one or two more levels like that. Other than that, not much to say about this world. 4. Sunbaked Desert This world is really where the game starts to excel and stand out, with a completely unique wonder event in every level, by far the best castle, and unique methods of finding levels on the world map. I'd say thus is the best world map in the entire series, and I wish more worlds tried something like this one. The level quality and theme is what holds this world back from the top 3 for me, it's mostly just arid white sand and a good few of the levels are pretty forgettable. Still the best desert world in the series! 3. Pipe-Rock Plateau First impressions in a game are important, so Mario Wonder is lucky that world 1 knocked it out of the park. A diverse array of course themes, ranging from forest to savanna to autumnal to underground swamp. Some surprisingly amazing levels like Cosmic Hoppos or Piranha Plants on Parade. An incredible introduction, with the overall low difficulty being the only drawback. 2. Fungi Mines This is a very flawed world. If I was judging based on the ratio of positives to negatives alone, world 1 would have found its way up into the top 2. World 5 reuses the wubba transformation effect, some other stages have wonder effects that missed some potential like Swaying Ruins and Beware of the Rifts, and it doesnt even have a boss. But when this world is good, it easily has some of the best stages in the game. Upshroom Downshroom, Taily's Toxic Pond and Poison Ruins not only put my drill bias on full display, but also all go into my top 10 levels. The quiz and opera wonder effects are incredibly creative, and it looks amazing visually aswell. I was the most excited about this world when it was announced, and I'm so glad it was worth the hype. 1. Deep Magma Bog Here we have it, my favourite world in the game. It's not perfect, but it's very close. Everything from the levels to the multi-layered structure and frequent flower coin gates to the method of accessing the special world is unique and very enjoyable. It has easily the best boss, a good difficulty, THE DRAGON WONDER EFFECT!!!, and the most crative secret exits in the game. It might not have the best coirse theme diversity, but it is an absolute joy to play through, and the highlight of the game for me. Wow, that took way too long.
My Ranking: 8. Shining Falls 7. Sunbaked Desert (Sorry!) 6. Special World 5. Petal Isles 4. Fungi Mines 3. Deep Magma Bog 2. Pipe Rock Plateau 1. Fluff Puff Peaks
I definitely had the least thoughts about Sunbaked desert with the direct, but oh boy i shouldn't have overlooked it! Definitely the best world in the game! I absolutely love the open world concept and all the secrets to uncover. It's story was also one of the better ones with the genuine danger bowser Jr is causing.
Nice list I love all the worlds in this game, but my list would be. 8th: Shining Falls: Love this world but it was a bit short and didn't have as many memorable levels in my opinion. 7th: Deep Magma Bog: Again, love this world but for me it felt a bit slow and was just a standard lava world. 6th: Special World: Honestly, I didn't have to much trouble with the first 7 levels, but the Badge level made me drop form 99 lives to 13 lives. 5th: Fluff Puff Peaks: I love the design and background of this world; the levels were great, and the length was great. My only complaint is that I wanted more ice levels but other than that awesome world. 4th: Pipe Rock Plateau: An AMAZING start to an AMAZING game. I loved nearly all the levels it was memorable and fun for a first world, I just prefer the next 3 over it. 3rd: Sunbaked Desert: I LOVED this world so much; I always feel that desert levels and world in general are always underrated. It was a nice beefy world with great levels all around and it have my new favorite enemy in it, the Armads. 2nd: Petal Isles: I was contemplating weather this or Sunbaked Desert for this spot. Honesty either one could go here but I decided to put Petal Isles a little higher just because I remember a lot of my favorite levels are here. I also like water levels, but even more do I LOVE beach levels there my favorite type. It had so much variety too with not just water but some other fun places like some food-based levels where you can turn into goombas and another one of my favorite new enemy's the Maw Maws. Adding on to this are the bowser levels which were great and has the final boss in this world too. It also its sort of like a hub world which I also love about it. 1st: Fungi Mines: This world was SO much fun to me. I remember nearly all the levels in it. I love the wonder effect of turning into the blob guys, and the haunted mansion was CHEFS KISS. I don't have much else to say besides this world was just perfect to me and I had no negatives towards it.
If I had to pick my favorite worlds, I got three. Taking the number three spot, we got the sunbaked desert. I love how instead of the mushroom kingdom's version of Egypt, this world takes place in the flower kingdom equivalent of Arabia. Taking the number two spot, we have the fungi mines. That place is freaking weird! And the ruins down below get even weirder! Taking the number one spot, despite how short it is, my absolute favorite world is Castle Bowser (accessible from the petal isles, once you obtain all six Royal seeds). It's amazing how two of my favorite levels in the entire game are at the end game.
World 6 is so under-appreciated in my opinion, such a cool world with amazing wonder effects and a great plot line into the growth of the vegetation in the volcano thus heating the magma so much it's a nuisance to the poplins. But world 4 is amazing as well gameplay wise too which is understandable. It's my second favorite world
All of the worlds are great in this game, but from worst to best, I would say: 8) Deep Magma Bog - Compared to the other worlds in this game it's kinda just a generic lava world, but at least it's the best generic lava world in a 2D Mario game. 7) Fungi Mines - It's pretty good. Should've had a boss. I don't have much else to say. 6) Pipe Rock Plateau - Close call between this and Fungi Mines but honestly I just had more fun with this one. 5) Petal Isles (excluding Castle Bowser) - As long as you pretty much always have Dolphin Kick equipped, all the levels in this world are fun and charming, and I like that none of them conform to just one style. 4) Fluff Puff Peaks - This world really surprised me with how great the levels were, I wasn't expecting much from the trailers! 3) Castle Bowser - Fantastic world from start to finish, but ultimately it is still short (the game doesn't even count it as a separate world, but cmon, it absolutely is). 2) Shining Falls - Honestly this world would've been #1 if it just had more levels. I was pretty disappointed that it didn't have a boss, too. 1) Sunbaked Desert - Absolute PEAK. Not a single bad level despite it being quite large, and all of the different themes were excellent. Can't believe they made the DESERT world the best one. Haven't ranked the Special World since I haven't finished it yet but atm it's dead last for being short and disjointed lol. Still pretty good (I especially liked the Fluff Puff Peaks level)
Forgot to mention that after you beat world 4, the pot at the first level is now filled with water, meaning you can give now water to the talking flower. Before the pot is empty.
My Personal Enjoyment (not including the secret world & not wholly indicative of quality) 1. Castle Bowser 🐲🎼 (Short but absolutely fire and exciting as heck! Bowser’s Green Neon and Music Stadium theming is TOP NOTCH, Final Boss was good) 2. Pipe Rock Plateau 🌳🪨 (Large, natural sprawling environment, really pleasant to traverse, iconic enemies) 3. Deep Magma Bog 🔥🌋 (Epic Lava Levels, my kinda thing) 4. Fungi Mines 🥀🍄 (Amazing Spooky Levels, but no Boss Castle) 5. Petal Isles 🏝️🍰 (Very Diverse set of islands, unique layout) 6. Sunbaked Desert 🏜️🕌 (Very Large & Cool Temples, just not big on desert levels) 7. Fluff Puff Peaks ☃️☁️ (Great world again but Snow & Sky aren’t my thing, Airship & Castle carry) 8. Shining Falls 💦 🎋 (Easily Weakest, Short world with weird structure, No Boss Castle and Singular theming. At least the single theme was new)
They did a stellar job with the worlds in this game. It's gonna be so lame now to explore the Mushroom Kingdom again knowing this infinitely cooler kingdom is just next door. As for my ranking: 8: Shining Falls 7: Fluff-Puff Peaks 6: Pipe-Rock Plateau 5: Sunbaked Desert 4: Petal Isles 3: Special World 2: Fungi Mines 1: Deep Magma Bog Shining Falls might have the best aesthetics in the game, but the world is way too short and I find the Hopycats really annoying. I do like the break from tradition of not having a castle and boss at the end as it made sense for that world, although like I said it really could've used more levels. Sunbaked Desert has some great uses of the new mechanics such as on/off blocks, pushing and jumping to the beat. Its lower ranking is mostly due to certain levels being a bit tedious to replay at times. Having one world as a central hub you explore between worlds is a really cool idea that makes the Petal Isles stand out. It has some really memorable levels such as Muncher Fields and Maw-Maw Mouthful, and Castle Bowser alone bumps it up a spot. Deep Magma Bog isn't too thematically different than lava worlds of the past, but Mario Wonder's artstyle is so good that it still feels fresh. The levels offer a fun challenge each with their own gimmick that blends into the level beautifully, and the Wonder Effects are all fantastic and really sell this world as my favorite. I also love how the area gets hotter and has more magma the deeper you go, and how this is reflected in the levels with the earlier ones being cave themed and the later ones being lava themed.
I definitely agree that the levels were so fun this time around and the game really did feel refreshing from the New super mario bros series. The only down side is that with them having 10 years from the last 2d mario game and about 6 years since the last newest 3d title we’ve gotten they still gave us only 6 worlds in Wonder which i did kinda find lame. Mario 3d world had 8 worlds and 4 hidden extra worlds with Reselina as a hidden playable character, that is the kinda stuff i like when you beat the main game and there’s way more content after you beat the game. One could say they put more levels into the worlds this time around but we all know we would’ve still loved it if they would’ve gave us more of this good stuff.
My rankings: #8: Special World (7/10) It wasnt because it was hard or anything, it just didnt really have a theme, a galaxy theme would have been cool. Still, I love this world. It challenges me and I love it. #7: Fluff Puff Peaks (8/10) I love this world, and I like the levels and its really good. However, this world seems the most bland to me. It also looks like the NSMB series too. However, still a great world. #6 - Deep Magma Bog (9/10) I love this world. Its a really good one. It has some of the best wonder events this game has to offer. #5 - Fungi Mines (9.5/10) I absolutely love the theming and levels of this world. The ONLY thing holding it back from a 10 is that there is no boss. But, the levels are amazing and really good. #4 - Pipe Rock Plateau (10/10) My favorite world 1 EVER from any mainline Mario game. It has a rich variety of courses, and overall is such a good world. #3 - Petel Isles (10/10) This world is absolutely outstanding. I didnt think i would like the water and underground world so much, but it's really good. I love the levels. And those final levels against bowser were some my favorite levels in the whole game. The Finale was amazing. There is no complaints about this world. #2 - Sunbaked Desert (10/10) Fun fact, i used to hate deserts in mario games. But this changed everything. I absolutely love ALL the levels. The boss is great, the wonder effects are amazing, and overall just an amazing world. This is the world I find myself going back to the most. #1 - Shining Falls I know what I said earlier, but this is my favorite world. Its shorter, which is sad, but i LOVE theming and the levels. The music is a bop too. I find myself going back to this world the most. Its an absolutely amazing world. And just how high every world is, you can tell how good this game is, even the lowest is still absolutely amazing, Mario Wonder is my favorite Mario game.
You should’ve fought Master Populin as a “final challenge” to World 3. Like not as a bad guy, but besting the master for the seed. Would have been a good opportunity for a boss fight 😔
Just want to say, Amazing list and amazing review. Super Mario Bros Wonder is simply put the wonderful 2D Mario game made in years when people that Mario Maker 2 was what people look at as the game that made it look like Nintendo was out of ideas for 2D Mario; which they aren't. And it has the sauce that games link Donkey Kong Country series, Wario Land series, and Yoshi's Island on SNES had but most 2D Mario games were missing. And while I loved the final boss, I agree that nearly every other boss was underwhelming compared to the rest of the game. But that doesn't hold the rest of the game being as awesome as it was. But here's my list. 8) Special World (By process of elimination. It has an amazing collection of special world stages even if the world overworld itself is expectedly meh) 7) W3: Shining Falls (I agree that it's overall the weakest of the 6 main worlds, but it has such a beautiful aesthetic to it and stages are still really fun. It's what stops me from putting it at the very bottom) 6) W6: Deep Magma Bog (It would have been much higher due to the size magnitude and various secrets. But the only reason it got this low is that it's kind of the cliche of final world having fire and magma as its theme. But hey, it's still awesome for what it is) 5) W5: Fungi Mines (I also tend to really like forest themes in Mario titles, but I just feel the next 4 are still even better) 4) W2: Fluff-Puff Peaks (All the levels are really fun and I really love how it goes from ice theme to the pink fluffy cloud aesthetics) 3) Petal Isles (It's got so much variety and the center of all the other worlds. But it's fitting for this to be the location of the final story stage) 2) W4: Sand-Baked Desert (Oh yes, absolutely awesome overworld and so much stage variety. I don't really need much to explain how awesome this world is) 1) W1: Pipe-Rock Plateau. (This was like the best world 1 in all of Mario to me; so much variety and even the tutorial levels had a surprising amount of depth compared to other tutorial levels from any other game. And all these secrets that I overlooked I wish I noticed sooner)
surprised you didnt talk more about the bowser levels in the petal isles section since they're technically part of that world, and are easily some of the best levels in the game
My ranking is: 8th Special World 7th Deep Magma Bog 6th Sunbaked Desert 5th Fluff-Puff Peaks 4th Petal Isles 3rd Fungi Mines 2nd Pipe-Rock Plateau 1st Shining Falls I don’t know how someone could possibly put shining falls in last place. It simply doesn’t make sense. It is the most interesting world of any 2d Mario game.
I love the theming and music or Shining Falls and considered it among my favorites after my first playthrough, but upon going back I realized how ridiculously short it is. It could've ranked so much higher for me if it had one more open section with a bit more standout levels.
@@nintendoboy3605 lacking a boss fight is one of the positives to me. Castles are always boring, and it was really interesting to go into the royal seed mansion, expecting a boss to show up last minute, but everything actually going according to plan and getting the royal seed. I’m glad they didn’t feel the need to force a boss into every world. I do agree that it should have been longer though.
I agree with most of your rankings except that I would put the special world last. Regardless of difficulty, the special world still lacks a theme. Shining falls has a unique theme and fun levels, so I think it should be at least above the special world.
Ranking the Special World is kinda hard I feel due to how different its appeal is to the other worlds. My ranking was mostly based on my hype levels when entering the world, whether that be due to the cool theming or fun levels, and I ultimately placed it 3rd as the challenge of most levels is really satisfying. I agree the theme is pretty lame, but in a weird way, the center platform with a shop and paths leading to different challenges makes it feel like a Mineplex lobby when I'm online. 😂
Shining falls was fun in the first play through, but forgettable. It only has 6 actual levels, (not including badge challenges, search parties, or break times) and the lack of bossfights is just boring. Sure, the final “level” was fun and final-level-y, it could have been better.
@@cesaramoga Well everyone has different opinions. Like for example someone might have king boo as their favorite while someone else has metal mario as their favorite. It's cool to hear what everyone's ranking is.

At the end of the day, it is an underwater world, and the dolphin kick challenges and leaping smackerel level don't help its case of being just as slow and annoying as in every other 2D mario. Great soundtrack though, and the final level gauntlet is amazing.
5. Fluff-Puff Peaks
This is a great second world, though not quite as good as the first.
4. Sunbaked Desert
This world is really where the game starts to excel and stand out, with a completely unique wonder event in every level, by far the best castle, and unique methods of finding levels on the world map. I'd say thus is the best world map in the entire series, and I wish more worlds tried something like this one. The level quality and theme is what holds this world back from the top 3 for me, it's mostly just arid white sand and a good few of the levels are pretty forgettable. Still the best desert world in the series!
3. Pipe-Rock Plateau
First impressions in a game are important, so Mario Wonder is lucky that world 1 knocked it out of the park. A diverse array of course themes, ranging from forest to savanna to autumnal to underground swamp. Some surprisingly amazing levels like Cosmic Hoppos or Piranha Plants on Parade. An incredible introduction, with the overall low difficulty being the only drawback.
2. Fungi Mines
This is a very flawed world.
1. Deep Magma Bog
Here we have it, my favourite world in the game.
My Ranking:
8. Shining Falls
7. Sunbaked Desert (Sorry!)
6. Special World
5. Petal Isles
4. Fungi Mines
3. Deep Magma Bog
2. Pipe Rock Plateau
1. Fluff Puff Peaks
Love it! (forgiven)
@@Swiftjar thanks!
I WAS NOT EXPECTING A FREAKING DESERT TO BECOME SUCH A POPULAR ENVIRONMENT
Average sunbaked desert W
You know it!
Also my favorite world.
@@Swiftjarmy fav is world 6 its so multilayered and cool
@@splaturials9156how good!
Idk how I would rank the worlds but Fungi Mines and Deep Magma Bog are my favorite worlds
Thank you very much! I like your reasonings. What a great game.
I love your reasonings! All such amazing worlds. 😊
8. Petal Isles
7. Shining Falls
6. Fluff-Puff Peaks
5. Pipe-Rock Plateau
4. Special World
3. Sunbaked Desert
2. Deep Magma Bog
1. Fungi Mines
Same list as me lol
World 6 is so under-appreciated in my opinion, such a cool world with amazing wonder effects and a great plot line into the growth of the vegetation in the volcano thus heating the magma so much it's a nuisance to the poplins. But world 4 is amazing as well gameplay wise too which is understandable. It's my second favorite world
8 Deep Magma Bog. 7 Shining Falls. 6 Special World. 5 Petal Isles. 4 Pipe Rock Plateau. 3 Fluff Puff Peaks. 2 Sunbaked Desert. 1st Fungi Mines.
All of the worlds are great in this game, but from worst to best, I would say:
8) Deep Magma Bog - Compared to the other worlds in this game it's kinda just a generic lava world, but at least it's the best generic lava world in a 2D Mario game.
Love it! Have fun with the Special World! 😊
Forgot to mention that after you beat world 4, the pot at the first level is now filled with water, meaning you can give now water to the talking flower.
Before the pot is empty.
I didn’t even know that!!!
Shining Falls and Sunbaked Desert are my favorites
Really unique themings
My Personal Enjoyment (not including the secret world & not wholly indicative of quality)
1. Castle Bowser 🐲🎼
(Short but absolutely fire and exciting as heck! Bowser’s Green Neon and Music Stadium theming is TOP NOTCH, Final Boss was good)
2. Pipe Rock Plateau 🌳🪨
(Large, natural sprawling environment, really pleasant to traverse, iconic enemies)
3. Deep Magma Bog 🔥🌋
(Epic Lava Levels, my kinda thing)
4. Fungi Mines 🥀🍄
(Amazing Spooky Levels, but no Boss Castle)
5. Petal Isles 🏝️🍰
(Very Diverse set of islands, unique layout)
6. Sunbaked Desert 🏜️🕌
(Very Large & Cool Temples, just not big on desert levels)
7. Fluff Puff Peaks ☃️☁️
(Great world again but Snow & Sky aren’t my thing, Airship & Castle carry)
8. Shining Falls 💦 🎋
(Easily Weakest, Short world with weird structure, No Boss Castle and Singular theming. At least the single theme was new)
They did a stellar job with the worlds in this game. It's gonna be so lame now to explore the Mushroom Kingdom again knowing this infinitely cooler kingdom is just next door.
As for my ranking:
8: Shining Falls
7: Fluff-Puff Peaks
6: Pipe-Rock Plateau
5: Sunbaked Desert
4: Petal Isles
3: Special World
2: Fungi Mines
1: Deep Magma Bog
Shining Falls might have the best aesthetics in the game, but the world is way too short and I find the Hopycats really annoying.
Completely agreed my friend! Love the rankings toZ
Agreed! Thanks for watching and commenting as well! 😊
3D World requiring all 5 characters to hit the top of the flagpole when only 4 chars can be brought into the stage is aggravating though.
My rankings:
#8: Special World (7/10)
It wasnt because it was hard or anything, it just didnt really have a theme, a galaxy theme would have been cool. Still, I love this world. It challenges me and I love it.
#7: Fluff Puff Peaks (8/10)
I love this world, and I like the levels and its really good. However, this world seems the most bland to me. It also looks like the NSMB series too. However, still a great world.
#6 - Deep Magma Bog (9/10)
I love this world. Its a really good one. It has some of the best wonder events this game has to offer.
#5 - Fungi Mines (9.5/10)
I absolutely love the theming and levels of this world. The ONLY thing holding it back from a 10 is that there is no boss. But, the levels are amazing and really good.
#4 - Pipe Rock Plateau (10/10)
My favorite world 1 EVER from any mainline Mario game. It has a rich variety of courses, and overall is such a good world.
#3 - Petel Isles (10/10)
This world is absolutely outstanding. I didnt think i would like the water and underground world so much, but it's really good. I love the levels. And those final levels against bowser were some my favorite levels in the whole game. The Finale was amazing. There is no complaints about this world.
#2 - Sunbaked Desert (10/10)
Fun fact, i used to hate deserts in mario games. But this changed everything. I absolutely love ALL the levels. The boss is great, the wonder effects are amazing, and overall just an amazing world. This is the world I find myself going back to the most.
#1 - Shining Falls
I know what I said earlier, but this is my favorite world.
I have never played Super Mario Wonder but I would see 👀 different videos and gameplay about Wonder
Awesome! It’s a great game. I highly recommend.
From favourite to least:
4, Special, 1, 6, 2, Isles, 5, 3
I was honestly a big fan of the lava world just because of the different ways of exploring deeper into the world
For a Lava world it was definitely top tier. The exploration in the caves were great!

It has an amazing collection of special world stages even if the world overworld itself is expectedly meh)
7) W3: Shining Falls (I agree that it's overall the weakest of the 6 main worlds, but it has such a beautiful aesthetic to it and stages are still really fun. It's what stops me from putting it at the very bottom)
6) W6: Deep Magma Bog (It would have been much higher due to the size magnitude and various secrets. But the only reason it got this low is that it's kind of the cliche of final world having fire and magma as its theme. But hey, it's still awesome for what it is)
5) W5: Fungi Mines (I also tend to really like forest themes in Mario titles, but I just feel the next 4 are still even better)
4) W2: Fluff-Puff Peaks (All the levels are really fun and I really love how it goes from ice theme to the pink fluffy cloud aesthetics)
3) Petal Isles (It's got so much variety and the center of all the other worlds. But it's fitting for this to be the location of the final story stage)
2) W4: Sand-Baked Desert (Oh yes, absolutely awesome overworld and so much stage variety. I don't really need much to explain how awesome this world is)
1) W1: Pipe-Rock Plateau. (This was like the best world 1 in all of Mario to me; so much variety and even the tutorial levels had a surprising amount of depth compared to other tutorial levels from any other game. And all these secrets that I overlooked I wish I noticed sooner)
Fungi mines is my favourite! Amazing video!
Thank you so much! Fungi Mines is great!
I love world 6 because it's a lava world that doesn't have to be the "bowser world"
If this is what 2D Mario games are gonna be from now on I can’t wait for the next (though maybe they should include more bosses)
Sunbake Desert 🏜️🏝️ reminds me of Tostarena. 😂 (Sand Kingdom from SMO)
Omg LEGIT! I didn’t even think of that. Great pickup.
@@Swiftjar You are welcome 🤗 brother.
@@Swiftjar It is like we are playing Tostarena all over again.
surprised you didnt talk more about the bowser levels in the petal isles section since they're technically part of that world, and are easily some of the best levels in the game
Only 3 minutes in and already another banging swiftjar video
Appreciate this! Hope you enjoyed the rest. 🎉
If the desert world were World 2 without any changes, it'd feel less creative.
Haha! I’m glad they didn’t put the desert world in the standard world 2 spot 😂
Suprised world 5 is so high, and world 2 is up there for my favorites cause Ice world
My ranking is:
8th Special World
7th Deep Magma Bog
6th Sunbaked Desert
5th Fluff-Puff Peaks
4th Petal Isles
3rd Fungi Mines
2nd Pipe-Rock Plateau
1st Shining Falls
I don’t know how someone could possibly put shining falls in last place. It simply doesn’t make sense. It is the most interesting world of any 2d Mario game.
- Lacks a boss fight
- The shortest of the 8 worlds
I love the theming and music or Shining Falls and considered it among my favorites after my first playthrough, but upon going back I realized how ridiculously short it is. It could've ranked so much higher for me if it had one more open section with a bit more standout levels.
I agree with shining falls
@@nintendoboy3605 lacking a boss fight is one of the positives to me. Castles are always boring, and it was really interesting to go into the royal seed mansion, expecting a boss to show up last minute, but everything actually going according to plan and getting the royal seed. I’m glad they didn’t feel the need to force a boss into every world. I do agree that it should have been longer though.
Amazing video after a break, glad ur back :)
Thanks! 😃 Hoping to have another Mario Kart video up Tuesday to. 🎉

Honestly deep magma bog, shining falls and special world were the best for me
I agree with most of your rankings except that I would put the special world last. Regardless of difficulty, the special world still lacks a theme. Shining falls has a unique theme and fun levels, so I think it should be at least above the special world.
That’s fair enough! I think the challenge aspect for me pushed it up. Theme alone it’s probably last.
Desert levels went from being the worst to the absolute best. Who woulda thunk it?
Am i the only one who noticed that fluff puff peaks W2 looks like the drum island ending from one piece
Id say the special world is my favourite
I loved Fungi Mines but they were so short

Funky Mines is quite.... Funky. 😂😂
Shining falls was fun in the first play through, but forgettable. It only has 6 actual levels, (not including badge challenges, search parties, or break times) and the lack of bossfights is just boring. Sure, the final “level” was fun and final-level-y, it could have been better.
How about ranking every wonder effect?
