I AM SORRY IN ADVANCE, I simply could not pass up the opportunity hehe Love you all more than anything!! I promise if I ever am pregnant you will be the first i tell!
I agree and can completely relate. I struggle to gain weight, especially at times like now when I’m breastfeeding a baby. It’s not something I talk to people about because I feel like so many people struggle with the opposite and would think I was just being rude. I would also welcome 10 pounds with open arms!
@@MrsKrikit Me too!! I had my mom tell me my entire life I was “underweight”, people at school bully me for the same reason, feeling insecure during my teen years for still looking like a kid… So when I got pregnant and gained like 38 pounds I just LOVED MY BODY, was very sad to see it all went down while breastfeeding.
I’m 37 weeks pregnant. My daughter has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome and nutmeg lung and the doctors have pretty much given her a 0% chance at life. She will be born in the next 3 weeks and is expected to pass within moments. My husband and I have been heavily grieving and one thing that’s constantly brought me moments of joy and distraction are your videos. I watch your videos every single day that they are released. Seeing this video pop up was so fun and coincidental. I’m very thankful for your videos Mia.
my sister had a tough pregnancy with her last kid and was told she wouldn't make it, and she gave her every chance she could to keep her. and she's 3 years old and just the sassiest thing. I hope that you have a good delivery and hope that ur baby girl makes it. Ive never been through it personally but I can understand from an aunt point of view. you and ur husband (and family) are really strong going through this. no one deserves to but I hope everything works out :)
My best friend recently went through similar heartbreak. Her little boy lived for only a few minutes. It was extremely painful to witness as a friend but I cannot imagine what it's like for the parents. My heart goes out to you, your husband and you little one 💕
When you clarify at EVERY single video how you respect every person that’s going through something (like in this video, a pregnancy). It shows so so much how you care about the people who follow you and how you would never want to disappoint anyone who watches you!
And then takes it as far as to make the donation in this video towards a charity that is pregnancy related! I don’t know what some of these people in the comments are so mad about.
I was gonna say the same thing! Mia is so considerate to everyone 💛 we may only be getting a small look into her life through her videos but you can just tell she genuinely never wants to hurt anyone.
Your comment about being happy about gaining 10 pounds and having more energy now, really helped me. I’ve been receiving full time treatment for my eating disorder for the last three months and gained the same amount while in residential. It’s been really difficult for me to cope with but your comment made me remember that the silly 10 pounds I’m stressing about has signified all the positive things I’m gaining while in treatment. Love you Mia 💕
I know I’m a random internet stranger but I just wanted to say that even tho I don’t know you at all, I am so proud of you! I pray you have love, light, and happiness ♥️
I'm happy and proud to be able to tell you that recovery is more worth it than you can ever imagine, and you are doing so well. I admire your strength, you deserve all the happiness this life has to offer
1. The clickbait got me 2. You are such a sweetheart and I HATE that people always speculate women are pregnant. It’s incredibly insensitive for people to assume or question it. 2. You are HILARIOUS and this video is everything I could have ever wanted
Or the opposite, Karen: oh congratulations Me: oh thanks but what for? Karen: when are you due? Me while holding back tears: Im not Karen: oh Me inside my head: 😫😥😢😭😡🤬👊😮💨 Karen: why aren't you pregnant yet? Me in my head: Well Karen you know that I've tried for 10 years with endometriosis and ivf but can't get pregnant naturally and unfortunately the money tree you must think I have to grow the thousands of dollars it costs just hasn't produced yet and I just gorged and binged 2 weeks worth of chocolate while i was in the shower bawling my eyes out so no one would know I had been crying because I just got my period like always because my body is useless and I can't possibly feel like a real woman because I can't even keep an implanted embryo alive for longer than 2 weeks and I'm just bloated and look fat from the hormones Me: smiles awkwardly and walks away
yes exactly, I used to have a woman that was my coworker ask me all the time if I was and wouldn't stop after I said no, coworker: are you sure? me: yes coworker: how are you so sure? me: idk, because I'm on my period. coworker: well you know you could still be pregnant me: well I'm not coworker: well you could be me: I'm just fat but I promise when I am you'll be the first fucking person I tell. coworker shut up and I walked away. but she would still sporadically ask me if I was. thank God she went to work somewhere else.
My grandma doesn't blantantly ask if I'm pregnant but will make off hand remarks or ask questions related to pregnancy. This was even before I gained weight. Now I have a belly a little smaller than the size of Mia's fake one just because my metabolism doesn't work like it used to. It doesn't hurt my feelings because I don't want children but it's still irritating considering she knows I don't want kids (and acts like I'm insane for not wanting any) and she's always rude about it. Are you disturbed by the fact that I don't want kids or are you judgemental about me "being pregnant"?? Those 2 things don't really go together!! Edit: The reason she'll randomly believe I'm pregnant sometimes is because I have a few small health issues which cause me to go to the doctor often. I also have to switch medications sometimes which give me withdrawals (hot flashes, nausea, dizziness, etc). I used to live with her so she would know about these things. I could explain everything to her and she'd squint at me and go "mmm" and act like I was lying. Now that I don't live with her I don't discuss my appointments.
Girl I didn’t even noticed you gained weight. The salty people that call you out for it have nothing better to do. I’m so excited to watch your next chapter in your life and can’t wait to see more context ! 💗💗💗🎉
I love that you talk so positively about gaining weight. It’s always seen as a terrible thing. I gained weight during the pandemic and the social aspect of it terrified me but now I know it really doesn’t matter. Everyone reading this you’re beautiful and perfect the way you are ❤️
So true. I used to be obsessed with weighing NO MORE than 49kg at 1.68m and let me tell you, after finally gaining weight and being like 58kg+ for like a year now, I'm happier than ever. I can finally be myself without worrying about my weight and possibly looking "fat", I'm simply healthy and happy. :)
Perspective matters. Like, I want to lose weight, but not because I want to look better or hate myself, but because it's good for me. I have digestive issues and endometriosis, both exacerbated by being overweight. So, if you decide to lose or gain weight FOR YOURSELF, then it's healthy. Better yet, try to be active and just enjoy life. Healthy weight will come if it will. ❤
The “looks” happened to me my entire pregnancy. It made me so upset. I apparently look far younger than I am, I was 28/29 while pregnant, I was a bartender, and I literally had multiple customers start a huge fuss and embarrassed me saying I was too young to be pregnant, how disgusting it was and inappropriate etc…. I was literally 29 when I had my son!!! It was insane! I was treated so bad by some people while pregnant! One guy used me as the example to his teen daughters of what not to do…. It’s was insane! People can be so awful sometimes! On a side note, I’m pretty sure every single person is the cutest pregnant person ever lol, but you would be beyond adorable pregnant!! Lol
There's so much extra insanity now especially with people in America wanting to force women to be pregnant while also treating them as pariahs. Make it make sense.
Oh! I’m si sorry for that. I was 22 (which I know is also young) but I looked like 15-17. And the most random people would STARE at me and my belly and I swear I could hear their judgment.
My best friend was 23, married, a college graduate, and a teacher when she had her daughter. She has a baby face, so she was constantly getting the evil eye from the church ladies, just based off of her appearance. If they did it while she was at the store, she'd buy booze or cigarettes and wave them in their faces. Her husband smoked, so it wasn't a waste of money, but she wanted to shock them. Judgemental bats.
@@ceciliatapioca people can be just sooo mean. Especially when they think they know something and make their insane judgments of it/you! I surely would have had a kiddo younger, but I had fertility issues, so it took us YEARS to conceive, and now, Bless Your Soul, i don’t know if I could have pulled my head out of my butt at 22! Lol but I’m sure they were thinking, oh how just awful for this girl to be so young…. Umm, screw you buddy! People can be such jerks sometimes!! Congrats for you and your family though!!❤️
@Chloe Snelling oh my goodness, same! And then even if I can just absolutely tell someone is pregnant, I have no idea the road that led them there, so I sure as heck won’t be making judgments about them! People can be just awful. There were definitely many people that were so kind and amazing while I was pregnant, but it blew my mind that so many people would be so mean to me, (and for literally no reason, including their assumptions being wrong). I worked in a very well off, kind of snobby area, maybe that made the difference? I’m not sure, but who the heck am I to try to judge another? Even if they are 15 and pregnant? That’s not my darn business!
I'm 35 weeks pregnant watching this and it took us more than 6 years to make this baby (including several losses and near death experiences) due to secondary infertility and you are SO respectful throughout the video and so aware of all the possible struggles of getting pregnant and being pregnant ♥️ Absolutely loved it and you guys are just hilarious like always 😂 and when you where putting your pants on hahaha, that's how I'm feeling every morning 🤣
I was hoping this was the case🤗 I was surprised to see others saying it wasn't 🥺 so I'm glad I saw your comment before deciding not to watch. And P.S. We've been thru 10 years of secondary infertility with 9 losses so I'm so happy to read stories like yours though I hate that you know the struggle. I'm so happy this pregnancy is your take home baby! Congrats!!! 🥰🎉
Congrats!! I am so happy for you! I had very similar experience and timeline as you. I finally have my rainbow baby! I hope the rest of your pregnancy and labor and birth are nothing short of amazing!!
I’m very happy you kept clarifying that it’s nothing like actually being pregnant and the respect that you have, at first I was like ugh not one of these videos again because influencers have made so many but you actually clarified many times and even donated to a charity! Your one of the most real RUclipsrs I’ve ever watched we love you Mia!
WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! Let me get this perfectly straight: You comment something that is completely unrelated to the fact that I have two HAZARDOUSLY HANDSOME girlfriends? Considering that I am the unprettiest RUclipsr worldwide, it is really incredible. Yet you did not mention it at all. I am VERY disappointed, dear sel
@@yellowfairy4234 I've been confuesed too, because I haven't understood what about your comment should be offending until I read long enough to realise that it is just bad selfpromo. You're comment is totally fine, don't let someone give you a bad feeling about it! Have a nice weekend! :)
This will probably sound weird, but I come from a broken family and have a difficult relationship with them. That's why I could never see myself being a mother, as I couldn't imagine going through something like that twice. But since watching your videos and seeing the amazing bond you have with your mom, dad and siblings, you gave me a new perspective on happiness and I realized that maybe one day, I could also have a wonderful mother-daughter relationship like you and mama Maples. So thank you for giving me hope and the desire to start a family after all 💕
I came from a broken home too. I didn’t want children until I did. Some do, some don’t. Getting past the trauma is difficult and I’m still moving through it. Hoping for the best on your journey. Wherever it takes you.
As someone who’s currently 6 months pregnant with a girl thanks for this lol, definitely made me feel like I’m doing a lot! Would love a maternity clothing video!
Mia, I hope nobody makes you feel bad about your body. I’m so happy you’re putting your health first. I have not noticed any appearance change, but even if I had, it wouldn’t matter. You’re doing what’s right for you ❤️
It's so weird people have things to say because I think she looks literally PHENOMENAL. I think it's especially weird because Mia was already so naturally thin before that 10lbs looks like nothing on her and could only be considered a positive thing because the only change I see is that her booty cheeks are more fabulous now. Regardless, I feel like we shouldn't really focus on what other peoples weight or bodies that much because it makes them feel insecure and worry about a very natural, and healthy weight change. I wish Mia didn't even have to read comments like that and think "do I look pregnant" or something to make her feel insecure, because she's genuinely the most beautiful person inside and out.
As an pregnant IBS person I'm just cheering you on with your "gut journey" glad to hear you are doing better! You would not realize how much gut problems affect your life and energy leveys before you experience it yourself. Also to me this is just fun and validating. 😁
The “my last two brain cells part” / the whole baseball part had me in stitches 😭😂😂😂😂 I also love mama maples so much like I love my mum more than anything but I also want mama maples to be my bonus mum
I'm so happy you made this video - you shed a light on the reality of how pregnant women are really treated within society and I really appreciate that - I think everyone needs to put themselves in someone else's shoes to know exactly how it feels before judging them. I have been so self-conscious , so thank you... and thank you to your mom for having soo much positivity around pregnancy, love you guysss
I literally gasped!! I was like "isn't our Mia a babyy yet!?!" Regardless, you'd be a phenomenal mom, since you're already an amazing daughter and granddaughter. Much love ❤️💫
I lost my mom last March and thought I'd never feel the type of happiness I had when I was with her. I can honestly say that watching you with your mom makes my heart so happy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful relationship with us. Happy Mother's Day Mama Maples!
I’m so sorry for your loss ☹️ I like to believe that we will see our passed loved ones again one day, Makes me feel a bit better but I know it can’t erase that pain. Sending virtual hugs your way ♥️
I lost my mom in October and seeing their relationship always reminds me of me and my mom. I love that they have such a close bond. Cherish it Mia ✨️ no one will ever fill the hole in your heart when you no longer have that special person.
From someone who is infertile, please never assume someone is pregnant. You don't know what they are going through, or the things they might face. Same with asking when someone will have kids, can we just stop that? You know how many woman and man who suffer from many complications with having children? How many mothers/fathers and couples have to go through losing their baby early? It's just not okay. Also, it's none of your business if or when someone is having kids, is ready to have kids or their reason to not have kids. Im sure if Mia is pregnant she would tell us eventually, it's just rude to assume let alone comment it on her posts. Just saying.
My daughter can't have children but has horrible weighted belly from steroid diabetes. She is asked all the time when she's due, she is rude enough to tell them, " no, I am just fat!"
@@nelliemcclain8921 I have the exact same issue as your daughter. I have responded with the same, “I’m not pregnant, just fat.” However I don’t feel like I’m being rude when I say that. First, it’s rude of a stranger to ask. Second, what exactly am I supposed to say? I’m just being honest. If they feel like my reply is rude, they should think twice about their question.
It's a wise reminder. My sister has close friends who have gone through multiple miscarriages, and it was so incredibly hard for them to cope with, the grief is real. "Ohh, are you pregnant?" "...I was." is not a conversation anyone wants to have.
I really do appreciate the disclaimer and recognizing how it may be triggering for some people. I’ve been struggling to get pregnant & I can’t wait to experience all these things. It’s okay to be curious about these things, thank you for doing it in a respectful way.
It’s so great that you’re trying to figure out your gut biome for your heath. Having IBS for 40 years, I now understand that the gut is like a second brain. And if the weight gain makes you feel better, bonus! Loved the theme of the video today and always love you and Mama Maples together. We love you, Mia!🌸
I would love a video about your "gut biome" journey. I'm sure many of us could learn a lot about our own gut health from your experience. If you feel comfortable sharing, of course.
I’ve always looked younger, I felt my pregnancy experience wasn’t the greatest. I had always been told that when you’re pregnant you get treated so amazing, that wasn’t the case for me. Because I looked younger, people would actually make comments to me. One woman asked me (after I had my daughter) if I was the nanny because I was way to young to have a child……I was 29 😅. I for sure got a better look into the lives of woman who are pregnant at a younger age and my heart goes out to them. Unfortunately the judgement is there and they need all our love. Make sure, no matter what age you think a pregnant woman is, that you treat them with kindness and respect. Seems like a simple thing right, sad that I even have to say it.
People are just rude. A close friend had a daughter and then had a surprise late life pregnancy when her daughter was 16. After the baby was born , it turned out her husband could not take his 2 children out anymore without their mother because people kept actually making comments about him being a dirty old man.
If you decide to have a baby one day, you should definitely try to recreate this video 😂😅 And maybe Stu would carry a belly for one day? It will be hilarious 😆
I love how accepting you are of your body. Ladies, at the end of the day, it's our physiological health that matters, not the way our bodies look aesthetically. Our bodies have literally got us through 2 whole years of a pandemic without bias, it's time we return the favor by simply showing it a bit of love and acceptance. Love you, Mia, and all the women who see this 💗
As someone who struggles a lot to gain/maintain weight and KNOWS how exhausting it is to be underweight and have literally no reserves and no desire to eat, I'm literally SO HAPPY for you for 1) getting a diet that allows you to gain and maintain weight and 2) that you are able to beat how society has conditioned people to feel and celebrate how good it feels. I'm still in the "figuring out what's wrong with me to even begin to treat it" stages, but I hope I'll get there in the future. Also you look great and very energetic! It's amazing what the right diet can do.
I am in my mid twenties and just started gaining weight, and it was a JOURNEY to get here. I hope you feel valid in your journey, but know it doesn't mean you are ugly either way. In the same way people work out, we gained weight lol. Doing what we can to feel like our most authentic (and healthy) selves
Well i was underweight for almost 23 years(my whole life) but then I’ve been on a diet with zinc supplements and exercises for 2 years So i can fell ya but don’t worry coz you can make it
my father in law has always had trouble staying above 150bs (which is the lower range for healthy at his height) and he jut recently started trying to figure out his gut issues. seeing him without a gaunt face and at a higher energy level just makes me so happy for him
Lots a respect to the younger moms the older moms the single moms the moms that have lost a child the moms that didn’t feel ready yet the moms that have adopted a child the moms that haven’t yet been able to conceive, and all the other moms you’re all doing amazing in whatever situation you may be in you’re all amazing!
i love that you continued to make comments about knowing you weren't experiencing the entire pregnancy experience. and the comments about pregnant people deserving more respect and people being nicer towards pregnant people. so many people have made videos like this and have turned it into a complete joke so i really appreciate how you didn't do that. you make jokes and added in your lovable humor, without being offensive. another great video, Mia❤️
Hearing Mia say people can't just walk up and touch your stomach made me laugh. When I was pregnant everyone suddenly acted like I was in a petting zoo.
I completely relate to the "looking 14 while pregnant and getting dirty looks" thing. I have such a baby face and towards the end of my pregnancy people were asking if I was still going to finish high school. I was 21! 🙃
Same thing happened to me. I was 26 and a college graduate working on another degree. I had people asking me why I wasn't in school in the middle of the day. Then once I started showing I got a lot of pity looks and comments. It was always funny to see the shock on their face when I told them how old I was. I'm almost 40 and still get carded regularly.
Girl I completely understand where you’re coming from. I got engaged at 21 and married at 22. I gained healthy weight and due to covid I didn’t see people for almost 2 years so now every few months people always ask me if i’m pregnant because my body looks more ‘womanly’ (boob and butt gains) 🙄
Same thing happen to me! I was (honestly unhealthily) skinny when I was single and after marrying I gained 20lbs. My mom calls it “happy weight.” I was eating more bc I was going out with my partner and was happy.
Omg I got engaged and married the same ages as you! My wedding dress didn’t fit me anymore literally 3 months after my wedding 😅 the weight gain is REAL after getting married/being married!
Mia you are such genuine person for acknowledging that people struggling with pregnancy is important to speak about. I have personal had struggled to get pregnant so thank you for making this disclaimer or being so big hearted about pregnancy not being an easy thing
Thanks Mia for this video ❤️ this is my first pregnancy I got married at 19 and am now 21 years old. And I do get those looks a lot, I have a degree work as a teacher I feel accomplished personally. But when I have those looks it does make me overthink. Also pregnancy on social media looks so beautiful. But I am currently 7 months pregnant and I have really struggled every single day of it. I can’t stand looking at myself in the mirror. On top of the weight gain stretch marks hormonal acne the extra pain on my back, nausea and having to go pee every 10 minutes no joke. You don’t see celebrities showing those kind of bodies and having that confidence so personally I get so self conscious of mine. You Shedding light and respect to pregnant women across the world, I appreciate it a lot thank you!
Okay now that I'm into the video, I wanna say this. People are ass holes, you don't look pregnant at all. I'm happy that your gut biom is doing great. As someone who has issues with my gut also, this this super great to hear. Now back to the video!😘
And she’s literally at the age when your metabolism starts slowing down, so weight changes are super common regardless. I didn’t think she was pregnant AT ALL lol
Feeling like you look and feel more pregnant after eating is actually a very real thing when you’re pregnant 😂 I bet your mom is so hyped for future babies now after seeing your cute pregnant belly on! ✨
Totally fell for it and was ecstatic! We’re currently 23 weeks pregnant with our baby boy after 3 years of trying and 4 miscarriages. It’s been such a rough pregnancy and I’ve lost 25 pounds but it’s all worth it 🥺💜
This was my favorite "pregnant for a day" video I've seen. I've been through infertility and you handled this so respectfully and I was giggling through the whole thing. Also, if you do decide to try to get pregnant one day (no rush - it's a very personal decision), I'm so excited to watch Mama Maples' reactions and advice and help. You two have the relationship I hope my daughter and I will have when she's older :-)
Oh Mia! I was pregnant at 21 and had my baby at 22. I got pregnant 2 1/2 months after I got married. I was and still am very young looking for my age (I’m almost 44). One day my husband took me out to lunch when I was about 7 months along and huge, I gained lots of weight early on like your mom and then I kept gaining! There were two older women at a table we walked by as we were being seated. One said, “That’s just disgusting, she can’t be more than 15!” I think I cried a little. Even if someone was that young and pregnant they don’t deserve that! I now wish I’d have said something to her.
Listening to your mom talk about gaining a bunch of weight while pregnant had me dying! I gained 60lbs with my first child and at one point my doctor was like, “ok, you can stop now.” 😂😂😂😂
I gained 53lb and then I carried a lot of extra fluid and had a 10lb baby so I told the doctor it was all the kid! It couldn't have been all the nacho cheese I felt the need to eat for months!
@@jaclynbuchwalter7374 Omg I had a 10 lb baby too. I gained 107 lbs. Complications made me gain a bunch in my third trimester. Everyone in delivery joked that the baby was going to walk out. 😂
I’m currently at 28 weeks and it’s INSANE being pregnant. There are so many different ways to experience pregnancy and mine has been a hell of a trip. I didn’t know I was pregnant until about half way through 😅 Luckily everything is going great!! Can’t wait to welcome my baby boy to the world at the end of July 💙💙💙🥰🥰🥰
Aw I’m currently pregnant with our first baby too! Also a little boy due in June. I’m 34 weeks and I didn’t know I was pregnant until 12 weeks in! Glad I’m not the only one who found out later in pregnancy. Congratulations!!
Other people have made this comment but the positivity around your weight gain is refreshing and lovely to see. I'm glad you feel better in your body, that's what matters
Don’t let people make you feel like you’re rushing your wedding Mia! My husband and I got married after only four months of dating and we prayed for conception like three months in. I found out after my honeymoon that I was pregnant on my wedding day! There is no such thing as moving too fast or slow as long as you and your partner want the same thing and love each other pure and true. Love, loyalty, honesty, and commitment are the foundation of your lives together, not what others say. Congratulations on your engagement and I hope this helps get people off your back. 🙏🏻😇💕
I got the same reaction when I got engaged at 20 years old. People have a hard time believing that you can find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with so young and assume there must be another reason. We are just blessed to find our happiness so soon. Been married almost five years now and it keeps getting better. Praying the same for you, Mia ❤️
Thank you for addressing this! It's very disrespectful when people just assume or expect you to be pregnant just because you are in a relationship, getting married or just got married. They don't even know if you want kids or even can and it can be super triggering. When ex mother in law learnt that I was on a new contraceptive, for tons of medical reasons, she told me "I hope it falls"... I couldn't even react to it.
I just wanna say something. I know viewers can get excited when their favorite youtube gets engaged and usually bombards them with pregnancy related questions. While it many seem like no harm asking them if they're pregnant or not, please refrain from mentioning such comments. Maybe Mia won't mind it but it is insensitive to ask a person if they are pregnant or when are they gonna have kids, we as viewers don't know what is going on in their personal lives, and so for all we know, they could be having fertility problems and leaving such questions can be emotionally painful for them. I know this has nothing to do with the video but just wanted to educate others who feel that's its okay to leave such comments, even if they mean no harm and are just generally excited
Yess!! Cristine from simply nailogical i think addressed this in one of their podcast episodes , it’s something that’s very personal and as an audience we aren’t owed an answer or anything about that kind of thing, I’m glad y’all have healthy boundaries in your para social relationships lmao !! Keep on being awesome !!
I'm pregnant with my third little girl and the relationship that you and your mom have is such goals for me. I hope my girlies and I always are as close as you two are
I just love watching your videos with your mom. I lost my mom a few years ago, and I feel like your relationship with your mom is what we would have had were she still here. Her bubbly, genuinely beautiful laigh just reminds me so much of my mom. I absolutely love seeing you spending time and doing these fun things with your mom.
I lost my mom almost 35 years ago, she was only 60. She was a lot like Mia's mom as well, bubbly and always smiling and lots of fun. We always had a great time together.....
Okay for strangers, but some are so with even family. I didn't like when someone pointed at my stomach and called me "fatty", but touch with respect I personally didn't have a problem with, I saw my belly as more than just mine at the time. But now, five years later, it feels very strange!
Also not everyone asks 😳😳😳😳😳🤯 I also really get the creeps if someone (like the mother of the pregnant woman) feels ENTITLED to touch their belly!!! Happened with my aunt and her daughter who set a boundary there and she was offended she wasn't gonna touch her daughter's belly. 🤯🤯😳🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I can't even. 🤦🏼♀️😔
I'm currently 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I MUST SAY... *i almost died laughing during the gender reveal part!* like honestly I aspire to build a family like yours!!!! 💖
I appreciate people who take in consideration to be respectful to others who are uncomfortable in public. I am physically handicapped and I avoid going out in public because of this reason, the stares and the anxiety can be more overwhelming then the handicap itself. Thank you for bringing awareness to that.
the little baseball gender reveal talk and actual reveal had me dying!! also don’t you think it’s funny that mia’s dad taught stewart baseball, and that mia chose to have a baseball gender reveal. anyways love this video mia, can’t wait to actually meet little mia or little stewart one day. can’t wait to see mama maples seeing mia’s actual baby one day, she’ll be the best grandma!!
I know!! U can tell how excited she will be when Mia is married and it’s actually the right time for motherhood for her! Like when she says “Mia you’re so cute!” When they’re in the bathroom! You can tell she can’t wait but low key can of course because she wants her to be married and ready.
My mom had to stop to sleep, and the doctor made her take a leave, because it could get dangerous. I didn't drive even before I got pregnant, but had to stop the lessons because of it.
Mia being pregnant never crossed my mind. LOL I'm 27 and I'm terrified of kids, so I was shook by this title... then a little confused that people would just assume Mia's pregnant because of weight gain and planning a wedding. I watch Mia's videos every week.. I'm getting married this summer and we spent a year planning it. I feel like that's normal too.
Mia doing prenatal yoga while pregnant and I’m here.. pregnant drinking a coke eating grilled cheese watching Mia be a better pregnant person than I am 🤣
Girl, don't listen to them. Me and husband never even got engaged 😂 We literally were just like "Hey want to come to our wedding? It's in 2 weeks." We literally decided and got married 2 weeks later. We had been dating for over 7 years and just jumped into it. Everyone said we rushed it because we didn't get engaged but why would we when we've been together so long. Anyways love your videos! I enjoy watching them!
I appreciate your disclaimer up front. I've had two pregnancies and both time I almost didn't survive it. Sometimes a pregnancy can be exactly what people expect in a lot of ways. Other times things happen that can be both scary and long lasting. At one of the birthing classes I was in with my first, we were asked what's the one thing we want to happen with this pregnancy during the birth if nothing else does and a lot of folks were like oh no epidural or no c section etc.. not to throw up or go potty while birthing (yeah that just happens okay.. wishful thinking lmao). But one lady was just like I want us to both survive it. And the instructor took it upon herself to kinda point that out for those still very much in fantasy over pregnancy and birth. Women still die. Babies still die. It sucks and you'd think with all our modern medicine that wouldn't happen still and the percentage has indeed gone down yes, but it still happens and the percentage it still happens is higher than most people realize. Edit to add: the above all said, pregnant women can still do stuff lol. I drove while pregnant. I walked. I worked. I took care of my toddler the second go round. I've known women that had workout regimes they continued. Yoga and cycling and swimming and even boxing. Unless your doctor says otherwise for specific reasons pregnancy in and of itself doesn't just stop a woman from doing daily activities thankfully. X3 Not saying it can't because it very much can. But it doesn't necessarily mean it will.
Mama Maples reactions to you looking pregnant were actually the sweetest! And its lovely to see how thoughtful and respectful you were about not fully understanding what its like to be pregnant and what pregnant people go through. And consciously saying pregnant people, rather than women - you are clearly so considerate of everyone's experiences and it make every video of yours a joy to watch.
I love this! People should really mind their own business. They don't understand how many people get hurt by their comments. People who don't want children having to explain themselves over and over. People with fertility issues dealing with the hurtful questions. I hope people stop and think in the future.
Yeah, or what if she was self conscious about weight gain? Or people assuming someone is only gaining weight cuz of a pregnancy when it sounds like she's happy to have done so?
Yees, I had a miscarriage years ago and only my husband knew, but people kept asking and asking when we were going go have kids, and it hurt so much, you never ask a person when they're having babies, or if they're pregnant, you don't know what's happening, and then I had people asking me 3 months after I had my rainbow baby if I was pregnant again cause I had a belly, like, dude, I had a C section, what the heck do you expect me to look like at 3 months, so the only reason for bellies isn't pregnancy, people need to be better about this.
@@rachelcox1747 Definitely! Also the assumption in general that weight gain or weight loss is for a 'happy' reason. I know enough people gaining weight because of prednisone, or losing weight because of cancer. People really should keep their comments to themselves.
@@mfc3553 I'm sorry you went through a miscarriage :( they are sadly much more common than people assume. Also the 'bounce back' trend is incredibly toxic.
Seriously, you’re so sweet. You always apologize just to make sure no one ever gets offended 🤍 can’t wait for the day you decide to have a little baby.🤩🤩
I SO feel you.. when I got married someone from church asked if there’s something I needed to tell them. Of course, I said no. I had NO idea what she was talking about 😂 and she said “you’re looking more motherly recently” 🤧. Yeah.. I gained weight. LOL. Thanks for noticing 😫😫
I feel this so much too. I straight up got congratulated at church and I was all “???” Oh sorry i just like wearing loose fitting dresses now because of my weight gain, am most def not pregnant.
I wish I had this type of relationship with my mom. 😢 If I ever have kids I hope I'll be just as good of a mother as mama maples is! Mia and Mama Maples are amazing role models! ❤️
for me, if mia gets pregnant and will want to take a break on youtube, I'll say she should go for it mia never takes a break she's so hardworking and dedicated i know this is her job and it might not be possible but she could consider it as her maternity leave I know for sure ill be watching her past videos while waiting for her
So relieved you aren't really pregnant. Not that being a young parent is bad. Mia and I are the same age and I have a 1 year old. But I definitely want her to enjoy being engaged and married before kids. I can't wait to see the wedding and future babies for Mia!
She also mentioned in the QnA that kids weren't really part of the near future plans, so I get you! I felt the same way. I was a little worried, but it's good to see Mia and Mama Maples having fun.
Actually, you aren't rushing your wedding a year is actually a good time my brother had his wedding 3 months after his engagement, and I think any time you want to have your wedding is great! so I don't really think it matters
You and your mom in a dressing room remind me exactly of my daughter and me. We are laughing the entire time. People always wonder "what the heck is happening in in there" lol.
DIY thrift flip maternity wear? This was a really fun video, and I'm super happy you were able to have a similar (albeit diminished) experience where you could empathize with pregnant individuals on a deeper level than if you had not tried this experiment. Can't wait to see more! Oh, and I'm happy y'all were able to find the fabric for Tate's shirt! He really should be matching the gals. I saw you might have enough fabric to make Chip's wedding attire! Would love to see a video on that as well! I'm sure everyone wants to see what he will be wearing! Love you Mia! Give Momma Maples a big hug for enduring that three times lol
I’m around your age and just got married in March, and I just found out last week that I’m newly pregnant and I was so excited to see that we would be pregnant at the same time 😩 it’s fine though, the video was hilarious, I have a lot to look forward to lol. it’s just nice to see other people at the same stage of life as me at this age, I feel like people give a lot of hate to women who get married young and start families, like there’s something wrong with wanting that. I’m happy for you finding your person and when you do decide to start your family, I am so excited to watch from the sidelines!
Same here! I‘m 23 and 16 weeks pregnant now and I love to see women my age going trough the same thing. I haven’t told anybody but my boyfriend yet because I’m too scared of the reactions
@@gatorade8462 dude you're 23 and in a relationship, ask your parents how old they were when they had you... I know when my mum had my older brother she was 19.... Some people hide how young they actually were... Don't feel ashamed please

I had a pregnancy similar to your mom. I was definitely a Lucky one and feel for those who are miserable. No morning sickness, barely any weight going (17 lbs total), only 1 food aversion to ground beef. I was down to less than pre-pregnancy Wright within a month after having the baby. So blessed ❤
I can’t say that I’m not disappointed but I swear I’ve never clicked so fast in my life! I’m pregnant so it would have been wonderful to have a pregnancy buddy 💕

I know!! This was the first time i ever heard representation!
Especially because she didn‘t make it about her looks but about her health!
Because she is happy she is healthy. Love this
I agree and can completely relate.
Ive never been through it personally but I can understand from an aunt point of view. you and ur husband (and family) are really strong going through this. no one deserves to but I hope everything works out :)

Agree. It’s so beautiful to see the, together. Soulmates indeed.
Karen: oh congratulations
Me: oh thanks but what for?
Karen: when are you due?
Me while holding back tears:
Im not
Karen: oh
Me inside my head: 😫😥😢😭😡🤬👊😮💨
Karen: why aren't you pregnant yet?
Me in my head: Well Karen you know that I've tried for 10 years with endometriosis and ivf but can't get pregnant naturally and unfortunately the money tree you must think I have to grow the thousands of dollars it costs just hasn't produced yet and I just gorged and binged 2 weeks worth of chocolate while i was in the shower bawling my eyes out so no one would know I had been crying because I just got my period like always because my body is useless and I can't possibly feel like a real woman because I can't even keep an implanted embryo alive for longer than 2 weeks and I'm just bloated and look fat from the hormones
Me: smiles awkwardly and walks away
yes exactly, I used to have a woman that was my coworker ask me all the time if I was and wouldn't stop after I said no,
coworker: are you sure?
me: yes
coworker: how are you so sure?
me: idk, because I'm on my period.
coworker: well you know you could still be pregnant
me: well I'm not
coworker: well you could be
me: I'm just fat but I promise when I am you'll be the first fucking person I tell.
coworker shut up and I walked away.
but she would still sporadically ask me if I was. thank God she went to work somewhere else.
well thank you :P LOVE YA!
I second this
Me too! Didn’t noticed at all :o
I love that you talk so positively about gaining weight. It’s always seen as a terrible thing. I gained weight during the pandemic and the social aspect of it terrified me but now I know it really doesn’t matter. Everyone reading this you’re beautiful and perfect the way you are ❤️
" You are beautiful and perfect the way you are " such a beautiful thing to say and absolutely true!

Well i was underweight for almost 23 years(my whole life) but then I’ve been on a diet with zinc supplements and exercises for 2 years
So i can fell ya but don’t worry coz you can make it
my father in law has always had trouble staying above 150bs (which is the lower range for healthy at his height) and he jut recently started trying to figure out his gut issues. seeing him without a gaunt face and at a higher energy level just makes me so happy for him
Lots a respect to the younger moms the older moms the single moms the moms that have lost a child the moms that didn’t feel ready yet the moms that have adopted a child the moms that haven’t yet been able to conceive, and all the other moms you’re all doing amazing in whatever situation you may be in you’re all amazing!
Think I have met many of the mum mentioned - being a not ready to be a mum, a young mum and a single mum, now I'm a young grandma :)
The fact that this video is equal parts of Mia and mama maples being cute and equal parts of being chaotic funny
i love that you continued to make comments about knowing you weren't experiencing the entire pregnancy experience. and the comments about pregnant people deserving more respect and people being nicer towards pregnant people. so many people have made videos like this and have turned it into a complete joke so i really appreciate how you didn't do that. you make jokes and added in your lovable humor, without being offensive. another great video, Mia❤️
Hearing Mia say people can't just walk up and touch your stomach made me laugh. When I was pregnant everyone suddenly acted like I was in a petting zoo.
Same!!!! I found it soooo weird!! Umm, ma’am, can you not touch MY BODY? Thanks!! Lol I find that so strange people do that!
I smacked a woman's hand for trying to touch me while I was grocery shopping. No one's crossing my boundaries.
God I fucking hate when people do that. I had to wear a shirt to work that said don’t touch me because I was getting touched so god damned much.
Me too!!! I hated it so much
I completely relate to the "looking 14 while pregnant and getting dirty looks" thing. I have such a baby face and towards the end of my pregnancy people were asking if I was still going to finish high school. I was 21! 🙃
Asking as a German, how old is someone who finishes High school? 😊😊
@@AniRSm I don't know exactly bc I haven't gone to highschool yet, but I think 17? Give it take a few?
Same thing happened to me. I was 26 and a college graduate working on another degree. I had people asking me why I wasn't in school in the middle of the day. Then once I started showing I got a lot of pity looks and comments. It was always funny to see the shock on their face when I told them how old I was. I'm almost 40 and still get carded regularly.
I crave the day when people mind their own business lmao. Also how is it not common knowledge by now that many people have a baby face?
Girl I completely understand where you’re coming from. I got engaged at 21 and married at 22. I gained healthy weight and due to covid I didn’t see people for almost 2 years so now every few months people always ask me if i’m pregnant because my body looks more ‘womanly’ (boob and butt gains) 🙄
Same thing happen to me! I was (honestly unhealthily) skinny when I was single and after marrying I gained 20lbs. My mom calls it “happy weight.” I was eating more bc I was going out with my partner and was happy.
@@smolexfundie6458 I call it "healthy relationship" weight from actually going on dates and not being stressed
Thanks girl I really appreciate it
why does it looks like mama maples just gets on looking younger and younger
mama mapless you're so beautiful!!
Maybe all the laughter!😂
Well thank you!!
And she’s literally at the age when your metabolism starts slowing down, so weight changes are super common regardless. I didn’t think she was pregnant AT ALL lol
Mia, your mom and you are honestly the funniest people. I couldn’t stop laughing at the gender reveal and so happy for the relationship y’all have ❤️
Feeling like you look and feel more pregnant after eating is actually a very real thing when you’re pregnant 😂 I bet your mom is so hyped for future babies now after seeing your cute pregnant belly on!

Congrats on the weight gain! As another person who has had struggles around being small, it's such a nice feeling to finally gain a little.
don’t mess with us like that 😂
i knew it had to be a joke but i clicked so fast haha
Damn it! I wish it wasn’t a joke😂
IM SORRY FORGIVE ME HEHE :P

I found out at almost 4 months that I was pregnant lol. That was a complete shock!
I got engaged and married at 19 and people thought the same thing. And we are also coming up on our 5 year (next Friday)!
Happy anniversary!
I like how Mia immediately started walking like a pregnant person once she had the belly on 😅 and holding her tummy
Yes! Thank you for this comment
Mama maples doubling her meals while pregnant is such a mama maples thing to do 🤣💗
I'm pregnant with my third little girl and the relationship that you and your mom have is such goals for me.
As someone with 4 kids, I hardcore felt the “if someone asks to feel my belly i’ll do this *slap!*” hahah DONT TOUCH ME STRANGER! 😂
Okay for strangers, but some are so with even family. I didn't like when someone pointed at my stomach and called me "fatty", but touch with respect I personally didn't have a problem with, I saw my belly as more than just mine at the time. But now, five years later, it feels very strange!
Also not everyone asks 😳😳😳😳😳🤯
I also really get the creeps if someone (like the mother of the pregnant woman) feels ENTITLED to touch their belly!!! Happened with my aunt and her daughter who set a boundary there and she was offended she wasn't gonna touch her daughter's belly. 🤯🤯😳🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I can't even. 🤦🏼♀️😔

I appreciate people who take in consideration to be respectful to others who are uncomfortable in public. I am physically handicapped and I avoid going out in public because of this reason, the stares and the anxiety can be more overwhelming then the handicap itself. the little baseball gender reveal talk and actual reveal had me dying!! also don’t you think it’s funny that mia’s dad taught stewart baseball, and that mia chose to have a baseball gender reveal. anyways love this video mia, can’t wait to actually meet little mia or little stewart one day. can’t wait to see mama maples seeing mia’s actual baby one day, she’ll be the best grandma!!
I know!! U can tell how excited she will be when Mia is married and it’s actually the right time for motherhood for her!
Like when she says “Mia you’re so cute!” When they’re in the bathroom! You can tell she can’t wait but low key can of course because she wants her to be married and ready.
“Do pregnant people drive?”😂 Yes, yes we do 😅 love it, Mia being pregnant will be a full series of new experiences 🤪
I laughed so hard when she said that 😂
Me too! 🤣
Haha yes, I driving at 8 days overdue 😅
Ha ha yes! So funny
You're taking care of yourselves in different ways! And grilled cheese is DeLiShUs :) Have a great day!

I know if you chose to have kids one day, you'd be a wonderful mom and the baby would have a wonderful family.
Aw thank you :')
Yeah, they would with Mama & Papa Maples and Tate & Eligh.
People who don't want children having to explain themselves over and over, that's me 😮💨
@@rachelcox1747 Definitely!
