Tony is one of my favorite drummers but he has no business doing this in church, church has become a place of entertainment of each other, kicking God out and replacing Him with us, this brings God no glory, the church has become so lost, we have a form of godliness but deny His true power to convict us of our sin, we've become so much like the world and many are too blind to see it..God forgive us!

Loved it right up to the minute the old white started talking about GAWD with ridiculous ideas about the best drummers being in heaven. It's all fantasy. He's deluded. He's totally imagining things that aren't there.
I'll be the one to say it: I'm sorry but this just wasn't really grooving. Sure, some chops but, doggone, where's the groove? This is almost embarrassing. Even the audience was not into it. I've certainly seen better Tony. Heck, a decent gospel drummer would have brought the house down.
he totally overplayed this in a church setting. the piano it's totally drowned out by his excessive drumming. I don't see why this man is so highly praised
Well no one can do what he does. He has more soul than any other Jazz Drummer. He is a musical Genius. That will get you a lot of praise. There is no better setting for this drumming than a church. The Piano is only there to back him up. You're like the guy who doesn't like Huckleberry Finn because Tom Sawyer gets overshadowed.
