Thanks for this video -- I have the Dyson, got it just as it launched last year and just love it. The two units do have different features -- but a comparison would be great.

Your hair looks great Mary. I bought this tool when it first came out. I have thick bleached blonde hair cut in a blunt bob. It’s naturally curly but I like it straight n sleek. The ends of hair always dry quickly so I love how I don’t have to drag it through all the way to the ends after my first pass (I need 3 or 4 passes) It can start feeling heavy on your arms but worth it. I wash my hair twice a week also and this keeps it looking good. I live in Edinburgh and am currently on holiday in Fuerteventura and watching this on my terrace, in the sun, sipping wine lol. I, of course, have brought this with me and it’s the only way I can have straight hair in warmer climates. A hairdryer and straighteners do not give me a sleek look on holiday but this bad boy does. Happy days. Cheers 🍷

@@tallisinwonderland4724 do you know anyone who has one that could let you try it out? It is expensive. I just took a risk and it took a good few uses to perfect how I use it.

      Hahaha in Fuertaventura??? So jealous!!
I used it again today (the second time) and I can absolutely tell you this is going to be on my Best of 2024 video! My day 2 hair looks EXACTLY like my freshly done hair. The love is real!

@@SkinObsessedMaryyeah it is good. It can get really hot tho. Think cos my hair is so thick and curly I have it on for longer. But the results are great. Suppose I better get in the shower cos it’s hair washing day and I’ve got to get ready to go out for dinner 😂🍷🍽️🍷🍸🍹 The struggle is real here on holiday 😂😂😂 Love your vids by the way, thank you ♥️

When I travel to North America, I really missed my Dyson dryers as they are not dual voltage as you mention. So, on a recent visit, I bought a Dyson Air Wrap in Canada, as I thought that would be the most versatile dryer when travelling to North America, and I have not once regretted the purchase. I even took it with me to Bermuda recently, nicely tucked into my carry-on and was so grateful I did. The humidity did not help keep my blow-out stay straight and sleek, but at least the waves and curls were relatively frizz free. You never know what kind of hair dryers you might find in hotels (although in one Toronto hotel I was pleasantly surprised to find a hair straightener !) and I don't like leaving my hair care to chance. So, if you do travel back and forth often from Europe to the US, purchasing a North American Dysan or GHD dual Styler would be a good investment if you are picky about your hair.

It sounds like a crazy thing, but let me tell you....3 days in California with air drying only, I'm seriously considering it! I may see if I can get a used one (it's what I did with my European GHD). Thank you for making me feel it's ok 😝

I have the Dyson and love it! I found the Ghd on sale and just had to have it! Can’t wait to get it and try it out but I can’t see it being better than the Dyson for a sleek, straight hairstyle.

@@SkinObsessedMary I used the GHD once and loved the results. I felt it pull on my hair ever so slightly (could be user error) but the Dyson never ever does that. Overall results were quite similar to the airstrait and feel you can do a little more manipulation to the ends with the GHD. Nothing but stick straight ends with the Dyson, but I like that so no big deal for me. Would love to see you compare them :)

Hi Mary, great review of this blow/ straightening dryer. I too have really long, very straight hair and as I’ve gotten older, mine too has kinks and curves in it if I don’t blow dry it. I use the Revlon oval dryer brush. It gets sooooo hot also. I don’t use it every-time I was my hair, but I sure love how shiny, smooth and pretty it makes my hair. But I’m just not willing to spend that kind of money for a hair device. Which oil do you use in your hair? Oh my word, I can’t think of the name of it O something 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. Ever since I’ve been putting Rose Hip Oil thru my hair, I have so mud less fall out! I love it. What shampoo and conditioner are you using? Thank you bunches for another great video. Have a great weekend.

Thank so so much for watching ALL my videos 😘
I have the Revlon too (in fact it was one of my first videos here on YT) and while I loved the effect, it just got too hot and I eventually had to abandon it. Great results though...
I only wash every 3 days, so I double shampoo. Lately I've been trying out the L'Oreal Everpure Bond Strengthening Shampoo

And the 2nd cleanse is my fave shampoo of all time, which I've been consistently for 2 years. The shampoo, conditioner and mask are holy grails.
