It was 1994 when I first listened to Individual Thought Patterns and with my first band we were preparing a demotape, planned to be recorded the following year. I remember well that year, so full of musical discoveries... I consider Gene Hoglan one of my greatest inspirations, always trying to reinterpret his musical skills and taste: one of those who has been able to compose truly innovative drum arrangements in Metal, drawing from various styles and not conforming to clichés. Even today I can feel some of his rhythmic intuitions under my feet and fingers. The song I chose to play is not among the best known by the band Death but I've always liked it a lot, so this is my rendition (there is also a little trick revealed on how he probably played a part and that I never see performed as it should).
No editing, no trigger, all done in one take (all mistakes kept, nothing has been fixed)
