Took 60 years for this guy to complete this video. Respect.
W
Was like 70 years and 5 months lol.
He went forward 5 months.
Then forward 10 years.
Then 60 years.
He started when they were just jammin in the house. Then he did it for 70 more years and 5 months lol
Actually it took 70 lol
A drummers moto:
If I sit, I hit!
I only get it 2 minutes in.
The hardest part about playing the drums is not playing the drums.
damn facts
especially when your bandmates are just like "play that basic simple 4/4 beat or some variation the entire song" and you just have to resist going 7/9 and throwing in a fill every few measures.
@@quinnmarchese6313 I’ve played with drummers who only know that one beat, and drummers who constantly try to “spice it up” but ruin the song as a result. Hahaha there’s no middle ground but I’d rather jam with a Meg white, phill Rudd type drummer than someone who wants to “shred” all the time.
@@codycoyote7046 i get it out during solo practice and improv jamming, in a professional sense, ill play whatever services the song the best, im not quite good enough for a jazz act where i could actually do that lol
@@quinnmarchese6313 respect
I confirm as a drummer it is our life’s mission to interrupt the guitarist from doing anything
Hahahaha 😂
As a fellow drummer I am very casually agreeing with this
Yes
Same here.
As a guitarist....why😢
Very true the drummer being goofy, the guitarist being a victim, the keyboardist being the awkward one, and the bassist didn't show up.
Very accurate..
The bassist' boyfriend needed him at home.
@@christophershepherd1983 true, I needed to try the buttplug on him.
I play keyboard and guitar so im the awkward victim😂
goofy? being ready to go is goofy?
@@notsop1 do you compose your own music?
This is literally every band practice I’ve ever been to
Band practices are 60 years long
Lol yeah happens quite a bit. I really dont mind drums but other instruments can throw off the tuner, especially if they are really LOUD.
LOL.
@@mrpopcorn25 And getting longer!!
Same bro
It must be said, drums are a unique instrument in that if you see them near you, even as a non-drummer, the urge to play them is impossible to resist. Feel like this goes for most forms of percussion, too. In my view, they're the most "universal" instruments if that makes sense. Great vid lol.
Also goes for piano, especially if you already play it. I won’t play at home but will gladly play anywhere else
I am a rhythm guy. I just started drums and I AM LOVING IT! Man drums can be really exhausting though.
when i used to do giutar lessons at a music store, right outside the studios n stuch where i did the lessons, there was the percussion section of the store, and whenever my mom was waiting for me in the last 5 minutes of the lessons she would play the drums, specially the bongos lol
@@SoloSlater i had a piano in my house growing up and literally all my friends would noodle on it for a few minutes every time they came over
@@randybrown8872 it gets easier with time lol, i remember just starting and playing for my high school band and it was hard to play more than three or four songs and keep the energy, now i could play all day if i didn't have adult responsibilities.
As a drummer I can confirm this is what we actually do when the guitarist is tuning.
It's so hard not to play while your waiting bro 💀
I've had band mates ask me if I'm ok or on something or do I need to be on something just because I sat behind my kit and patiently waited for the rest of the band to tune and level check mics. The guitarist in that band just stared and started to reluctantly tuned as if I was about to start playing . Believe me , that's screws with a guitarist just as much as playing while they tune.
@@chrischarge3129 lol
I'm surprised nobody understands how helpful and easy a tuner pedal is, drummer can go mad and it won't really matter
What is a tuner pedal?
@@oneultro6457A tuner pedal is a specific type of guitar pedal designed for the sole purpose of tuning and is, like all guitar pedals, connected between the instrument and the amp via its cable. Using a tuner pedal means that only your instrument will be picked up by the tuner, even if other instruments are being played in the room. Some are also extremely accurate, with the Peterson Strobe tuner pedals being accurate to within 0.1 cent.
A number of people alternatively use a clip on tuner, which clamps to the headstock of the instrument, picking up the frequency of notes through the vibrations of your instrument. They are cheaper and more portable than a pedal but may pick up other instruments in a loud venue. The best clip on tuners will be accurate to +/- 1 cent (which is plenty accurate for most cases).
This is art, you talented bastard.
I'm excited to see what your future holds dude, you got "it"
"it"
i love how you play your so talented man also WAKE UPP THERE IN YOUR WALLS THEY FEAST ON YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP
they're
WHAT
@@kindauncool 👍
As a bassist with a pedal tuner, I never understood this since the signal is muted either way when you turn on the tuner. Then I played a gig with an acoustic guitar and this was painfully relatable
Also, lots of folk do one string with a tuner then tune the other strings off that one; probably a relic from when tuning forks were the norm, and because cheap headstock tuners seem to suck at certain notes, like low B. Either way when your drummer wants to be funny just start tuning with the amp turned to 11, that'll learn 'em.
Wow, that’s the prettiest bride I’ve ever seen. Mr. Paulsen is one lucky man
Made my day 110% better.
This brought back memories of my high school days rehearsing, I laughed so hard, thanks very much for posting this x
I am going to literally cry the day this guy starts doing challenge videos
unironically deeply moving
i love my band, i love playing music with people
The ending is sooo peaceful!
If you want to experience something similar as a drummer, start playing an electronic kit with heaadphones on, and have someone just a few feet away open a chip bag, pour some chips onto a plate, curl the chip bag back up, and put the chip bag into a plastic shopping bag, and twist the shopping bag up a bunch of times to keep the chips fresh.
It's like being accosted by a bunch of people with maraccas.
Good Luck not getting annoyed or distracted.
I play the drums. Can confirm, fully worth it.
Buy a tuner. Inflicting your dying cat noises on us is out of date.
I love that awkward exchange at the beginning when the pianist slaps the guitarist lol. I felt that in my soul
I had never heard of your channel before, and I just landed here by this video, and as a drummer, there's only one thing I can do now:
DEFINITELY SUBSCRIBE.
Thank you, now I can understand myself better.
This might be the best video on yt that i’ve ever seen! 🤠
That ending was strangely profound.
I now listen to this heartwarming story every night before bed. Thanks Aaron
This video is truly an inspiring piece of artwork. I am currently crying at this masterpiece 😢
Love that ending line.
This be true with drummers. 🤘🏼
Dude I love your content! This one is too real haha!
love the pianist here so acurate
I thought the snare lick in the car was about to be Bleed haha
Same😂 i am not patient enough to wait i see the drums i cannot hold back
Man, this took me on quite the unexpected journey.
This was the most put together short i've seen on the internet story wise.
Bro the part at the beginning was fucking FIRE.
😂 that you started with that cowbell funk beat had me dying
Love it😂
😂😂😂 Brilliant & what an a great musician you are ✌️
This is so true lol
A beautiful message
guitarists and drummers when the bassist is tuning
Wholesome quality content.
bro, this can’t get any more relatable than this. ITS EACH GOD DAMN TIME IM TRYING TO TUNE.
Became the shaman McCusker at the end there. Beautiful
🔥 content
Big ups for the Go Go!! DC represent 🔥✊🏽
Great chops 😌
This is so relatable it hurts
And that’s how the tuner pedal was born
got me in tears.
Damn bro this video took me on a journey.
The production on this is pretty damn cool
Guitarists do be like that, taking forever to tune
Naaa el mejor video que e visto hoy😎
Nice drumming !
A Drum Odyssey
This was good😁😁 I didn't know musicians have a mission to annoy other musicians😂
Those are AMAZING sticks😂
0:32 not the keyboard player liking their finger after spanking the guitarist
This went further then I thought
The secret to a long and happy life is " more cowbell"!
Aye them chops were present though!
"Oh no I hope I don't get played over!"
*procceeds to play the most beautiful sounding chord to ever exist*
SO TRUE
This is way too real lmfao
I think i heard parts of "violence" by blink and neil peart's solo in there LOL nice. Also the opening chord to "roundabout". ❤
Frighteningly relatable.
That took a very deep dive.
As a drummer, I can confirm
That got deep real fast
I don't wanna be a bitch but I nearly cried lmao
As a guitarist I fell his pain
as someone who plays both in different bands i can confirm this is the case
see also: guitarists when the bassist is tuning
I can confirm as a bassist/guitar player that this is true
i didnt expect such a deep movie hahh
the fuck did that spiral into? Loved it
then when the drummer talks, the guitarst plays sweet child of mine from heaven
Intro song go hard I keep rewinding
As a guitarist and drummer I can confirm this is 100% True 😂
It's a curse we always have to play when someone is tuning
as a drummer a can confirm the is true
Lol this is why I don't mind a pedal tuner. The PTSD is real I guess 😆 great video my guy.
I agree. I do the same thing.
I think the drumming in the beginning was awesome
bruh you’re a dope ass drummer
I can confirm as a guitarist, that this happens EVERY FUCKING TIME.
I felt this is my soul. I play bagpipes with a pipe and drum band. Try talking or tuning when there are 10 drummers with 20 drum sticks. It never stops.
it happens every time
drummer - adhd
keyboard - anxiety
guitar - ocd
A drummer's talent is best shown when the guitarist is tuning.
As a guitarist, I can confirm no one ever lets me tune in peace.
Ive never felt more exepted in the percussion community than right now
I soooo wouldda kicked a hole in the bass drum just for playing while I'm tuning!!! Hahahahaha!!!
Dam you got chops
damn that got pretty deep
And when there's both a drummer AND a bassist the guitarist can't even think without his inner dialogue being interrupted.
deep
as a young, learning drummer, i know now what i must do.
OMG did u use perfect blue - virtual mima as OST? Really loved it
dem chopz dho
They say to "write what you know" and dammit if anyone in a band doesn't know this routine by heart 😅😅
