    The guy with the wounded leg was in a Star Trek episode where the Enterprise went back in time. The guy was a fighter pilot that got transported onto the Enterprise while a tractor beam was tearing his plane apart. His name was Roger Perry (1933-2018). The episode was Tomorrow is Yesterday.

    One episode split up into 4 short posts. I think i will stick with the channels that post the whole episode in one.

    I like the way they use the same sound effect for every weapon . A Sten and a B.A.R. don't sound like that .
    Still I like this series . A lot of well known actors had cameo's here

    Technical detail note: The .45 acp M1911A1 is an auto loading semi-automatic pistol, not an automatic pistol. The pistol can be made to fire in automatic mode if the trigger disconnector is disabled, requiring the work of a gunsmith.

      +Jim Nesta 100% correct. But the phrase "semi-automatic pistol" is sometimes shortened to "automatic" and it is usually understood what is meant by the shortened name. Only a fool would try to shoot a M1911A1 (or most pistols) on automatic - I read or heard of some idiot that tried it - before the mag was empty it was pointing straight up!

      Really? Because the period official manuals and writing typically say;
      "Automatic pistol
      Caliber. 45
      M1911 and M1911a1"
      In the old days, American "automatic" was synonymous with semiautomatic and fully automatic was distinguished with "fully" at times, other times simply still just "automatic"...

    • @seppshlllearningcenter419
      @seppshlllearningcenter419 5 лет назад

      Technical note: At the time it was officially called;
      "Automatic pistol
      Caliber. 45
      M1911 and M1911a1"

      .45 ACP means automatic Colt pistol, they named it that. A lot of gun companies marketed their semi-auto hand guns as automatic pistols. As a matter of fact the word "automatic" used to mean just that, a semi-auto hand gun.

    A perfectly running jeep and they walk instead. Drop all your food and water. Good idea.

      It depends on how far their lines are (were) , which might justify either walking or taking the jeep. If not "far", then... Walking gives better control over your prisoners, IF by yourself, under these circumstances. Had he another colleague, they could have taken the jeep... is my take. Dropping their web belts is a safety issue for the Brit. Too bad about the water.

    I disagree with both of you...we put Japanese Americans in prison camps during WWII who had lived here for generations because of how they "looked". There are always one or two bad ones, but you can't judge everyone by their "look". Get in the year 2013 and give all Americans the rights we all deserve. That's why our soldiers die in wars for us!! Don't forget it!

    "Nobody trusts nobody." The relatively few infiltrators caused more damage and chaos from the Allies' paranoia than they did from direct action.

    masqueraders, that what this episode is all about. That's what Masquers is short for. I didn't know that germans were masquerading as british or Australian soldiers either.

      + Marc Freedman , believe me , it would be hard to masquerade as an Australian , they have their own distinct accent and dialect . I know from living there for almost thirty years .
