I loved this series when I was a young girl. My mom use to tell my sister and I that we watched shows that 12 year old boys should watch. Just because we watched this, Rat Patrol, Star Trek - she thought we were watching for the show - fooled her - we were watching for the cute guys!! LOL!!
I never watched this show. My older brother told me that it was stupid, so I obeyed. The "Gorillas" didn't help. I assumed that it was a children's show like "Rat Patrol". I just stumbled upon this last night. I watched three episodes and I'm about to watch more. Dang!!!!!!!!!! It would take me too long to describe how I feel , so I won't. Wow!!!!!!!!!! This is so much better than my beloved Combat! and Rat Patrol.
Ron Harper is THE most handsome guy I've ever seen (yes I know he's an old man now sadly!). Great to have this series to watch here, but like others I'd certainly buy it if it came out on DVD
i saw this show when i was ten years old. The show made a child like me so excited. it on air in Thailand about 1970 . Everyday at 0830 pm. after News report. l loved this show. Thanks for posting.
I'm 43, and love the retro TV, just finished seasons 1-5 of Combat, also by Selmur Productions, this should be good, I even notice the background music is some of the same used from Combat.
Thanks for uploading the series, I remembered I missed a few of the Episodes... might be cut off by the Chinese censorship office.. I don't know I couldn't remember after nearly 40 yrs. Anyway one line on my bucket list is crossed now...
Anti-war sentiments got strong because of the Vietnam war. Viewers didnt like to see violence on tv. Many other shows got cancelled other than Combat and Garrison’s Gorillas.
I am pretty sure I bought a pack of Garrison's Gorillas cards - baseball-type cards - from an ice cream truck when I was about 7. Never saw the show until now.
This is a Great series! I watched new! Also I was on the edge of my seat for every episode! as time went on I noticed how the Six Million Dollar Man theme & music copied from Garrison's Gorillas as well the 1980's A-Team series copied the whole format of Garrisons Gorillas with the 4 characters which is set in the serious war of WWII & transposed it to the 1980's! it's easy to see who is who in comparing the four members & its easy to see who the Face character is etc. so I'm finally watching this series since I watched new and haven't seen since but I can see why I was on the edge of my seat then & still now! One of those engrossing series for sure!
This show inspired the Action Man games I had with my schoolmate. I even had one figure assume some of the attributes of Actor - using a mix of orange & white Plasticine to give him masks!
The version of the first episode with some of the guys from Combat was aired ( at least in the Chicago area ) well in advance of the start of the regular Season as a sort of premiere of the new up-coming show. They often showed versions of new shows and watched the reactions to them and would make changes according to comments received. I have seen both versions and have them both on CD. None apparent changes were made other than some cast changes. I fell in love with the show and the guys the first episode. : )
Mary Tobey You reminded me of places, in Hollywod, called Preview Houses. They were, too, set up to have invited groups of folks to view t.v. shows and I believe, films to gauge their reactions and get their comments.
The Pilot episode was filmed as an episode of Combat. That's why Jack (Kirby) and Rick Jason (Lt Hanley) make appearances. I prefer Combat though myself. There's just something about that squad, Littlejohn and Sgt Saunders, Kirby and Caje, Doc and Hanley, and all the reappearing guest stars, like a REALLY young Robert Duvall and Sal Mineo, etc. (Telly Savalas made his couple appearances as well, of course.) I guess I just have a soft spot for those guys lol what can I say?! 😇✌
@@twstf8905I’m with you on this. You get attached to the squad of Combat because you start to know them as the seasons roll on. You realize Sarge is one heck of a guy, Hanley is compassionate but authoritative, Kirby is smart ass but you see him maturing, Caje is everybody’s dream soldier, and Littlejohn is clumsy but covers your back. The guys at GG are still strangers.
ADOROOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obrigado.
Go to the right top of the screen and tap on where you see 3 dots then you’ll see where it says subtitles The only one I see available is English tap on that and you’ll see the subtitles in English
Michael Forrest-Yes another great show Mission impossible that ran from 1966-1973 and was actually originally called Brigg's Squad! It started filming in late 1965 and was even earlier Storyline scripted in January-'64! Delayed by President Kennedy's death etc! Like most shows at the time like Gilligan's Island etc. got delayed when pilot finished filming in 11-'63 because of all those factors back then! Also checkout Jericho-'66 also set in WWII!
Used to enjoy watching GG, MI, Hawaii 5 O and Combat as a kid. Watching them now, with wiser lenses, it’s astonishing to see how the Americans despite having won WWll were still making these propaganda war movies to ridicule the Germans to make them look so inept like the German soldiers were a bunch of clowns. It is a gross insult.
@@billhiers4171 Agreed. A bad bit of something beats a whole lot of nothing.Thank goodness for what is available and the time and energy folks put into transferring and uploading these old programs. I lament over the shows and programs that were recorded, erased and recorded over. A heck of a lot of t.v. history gone forever, like the early Carson shows.
This was a great respite from long division circa 65. McNamara was going to trim the Defense Budget so that Military Wives would have to dry their clothes on a line outside so that Ellsberg's Rand Wardream could become a reality. War does change things and Bethelem Steel and CNWS were rocking around the clock but then....

Seems I heard that we(U.S.) were way behind the Germans in training and equipment at least at the beginning of WW1. They were crack troops no doubt considering it took us, the Brits,French(resistance at any rate), Dutch, Canadians, Anzags etc. to put a dent in them! Guess the Bear finally finished them off.
George Senda, steelgila "...Germans who can’t shoot,,") I cannot disagree with anything said by you guys, but heck, if the regular German infantry solder, much less the snipers, shot up all the main actors, the series would have been done by episode one, is what I'm thinking, lol. No show, no revenue from sponsers. Then the studios would have to scramble for a replacement series or air reruns.
There is a striking absence of people of colour in this series and similar ones of the same era. Apart from Star Trek are there any other notable exceptions?
Tim Hoover Yeah, with, "Who loves ya, baby", Telly Savals. Edit: Oops, I just finally saw an earlier Savalas reference. But for us who have seen him in films and the small screen, I believe he will be most associated the lollipop and his famous saying:).
This was my Dad's favorite TV series, I used to download it for him, he was gone for 2 years gosh I miss him so much.
I am watching these episodes to recall my childhood memories as they were our favourite late night movies in the 1970s.
四十年前的童年回忆。我在1983年才看到他
I loved this series when I was a young girl. My mom use to tell my sister and I that we watched shows that 12 year old boys should watch. Just because we watched this, Rat Patrol, Star Trek - she thought we were watching for the show - fooled her - we were watching for the cute guys!! LOL!!
Brenden Boone
My favorite TV show of all time !!!
Ron Harper, top guy of the time. Great series

Don't feel bad! MY older brother told me, that if I turned the lawn mower upside down and held on, I could fly!
I got a comic book of this show when I was a kid - very cool.
Ron Harper is THE most handsome guy I've ever seen (yes I know he's an old man now sadly!). Great to have this series to watch here, but like others I'd certainly buy it if it came out on DVD
I started watching it when I was kid, and I remembered the music. Thanks God I can find it here, really great series, both the story and actors.
Me too! I was really happy to share my childhood memory.
In Germany the episodes never were on, to militaristic. Our loss, so I watch them now here.

watched it with my dad on TV 25 years ago, now i am watching it again, loving it not a little bit less..
Thank you for uploading these. Love this series
Loved this show when I 12 and still do. What can I say, I was a tomboy
Thank you for putting these episodes on. I watched this show when I was a kid and always remembered it.
i watched this show when it came out in australia loved it then still love it thanks for posting them on line
I wish they would sell these on DVDs. I had them all on videotape and one set of episodes was lost. Thanks so much for posting them online.
I'm 43, and love the retro TV, just finished seasons 1-5 of Combat, also by Selmur Productions, this should be good, I even notice the background music is some of the same used from Combat.

I agree

This looks great, a tv series based on the dirty dozen. I want the box set!
It's on RUclips, whole series, brilliant
The lead guy from the dirty dozen is in this i wonder if this was a precursor to it
I never understood why this series was cancelled...can't believe it is available on RUclips.
I never understood why Combat was cancelled.
Anti-war sentiments got strong because of the Vietnam war. Viewers didnt like to see violence on tv. Many other shows got cancelled other than Combat and Garrison’s Gorillas.
this show needs a proper dvd release.
Thanks so much for posting this show. I've been waiting for this for a long time.
This show was the inspiration behind the Dirty Dozen film
I’d completely forgotten this series and was reminded by an interview with Eric Braeden of Rat Patrol.
Don Harper has sadly passed away aged 91 Deepest condolences to your family and friends 🙏🙏

sound track music at the start of episode sounds like it was lifted from Combat! This show was a cross between Mission Impossible and the Dirty Dozen.
It was lifted, same producer.
This series had some Rat Patrol feeling as well but more Dirty Dozen though!
almost all Chinese guy in 40-55 years old now have watched this show.

I had their colouring book. But I don’t think we ever had access to the show in Canada? It’s was a cool colouring book, let me tell you.
there are about 20 million chinese watched this show around 1990s ... i am one of them .
1980s,
+1
me too
My dad is also one of them! He can still remember every little detail!
Maria Kelly may not. This one is extremely popular
They should do a re run of this classy boys own world war 2 action series !! Oh boy the 60s was brilliant tv
Shouldn't the title be GUERILLAS like Guerilla warfare
Yes. Absolutely. Though at 6 I had to ask my mom wtf it meant.
Telly Savalas jumps out of an airplane with his snap brim hat on . . . lands on the ground still wearing the hat. LOL

AEDC49 mission impossible came from the desilou studios, star trek too.
Mission Impossible was based on the film “ Topkapi” that came out in 1964.

Dirty Dozen + Garrisons Guerrillas = Inglorious Bastards.
Great movie. Nyce
I don't know what medium was used to transfer tape to downloadable, but the color suffered greatly. Never the less, great old army series.
+Gohot229 I'll take what I can get when it comes to these old shows. :D

Telly Savalas?!!! Who Loves Ya Baby
Andrew Phillips gets a lolipop
Mission Impossible set during WW2
And throw in a heap of "The Dirty Dozen."
Yes I remember this series when I was 5 or 6 years old this Combat and the Wild Wild West!
The Pilot episode was filmed as an episode of Combat.

Too bad this 1 episode was recorded off of a screen tv or cinema ? The other ep. seems to be ok.
7:50 I'd rather be caught behind enemy lines in civis than in my yankee doodle-dandy Uncle Sam's best. I surely get 'Gewered' then!
If you get picked up in civies, you're dead.
With your uniform to protect you, you're entitled to protection as a POW.
It always amuses me that both this show & Combat have Germans who can’t shoot yet they took over most of Europe.
The Germans were not inept soldiers.

Take of from combat , still good though

Was there a show back then that Joseph Sargent didn't direct?
Goniff is way cuter than Peter O'Toole.!
On easy to get DVD please
That 1st Lieut can’t compare to Lt Hanley. He just doesn’t evoke the same charisma Hanley does. Or is it because I’m still a Combat fan?
Am I the only one who thinks Goniff looks like Peter O'Toole?
elliot jude I'm not sure about that...but then again, I've got bad eye sight, astigmatism and old as.....(you can fill in the blank).lol, lol.
請配上中文繁體字幕。
early Kojac...."who loves ya Babeeeeee"...!!!
I’m wondering why I don’t know this show
It's great, got it on dvd, its hasn't lost its appeal even after 50 years
I’ll have to check it out. I usually like anything WW2 related.
Are you in Canada? I’m 60 and never saw anything of it.
picture quality is poor.
the dirty dozen light! and I mean very light!
Tim Hoover
Yeah, with, "Who loves ya, baby", Telly Savals.

为毛一开始是中文标题《加里森敢死队》,里面确实英文配音
+Antonio Lyu 片子是合成的。英文片源的图像质量不高,所以用了中文片源的影像。
Ron Harper
Bloody A.I..... that's wrong translation too...
They cancelled combat for this
Ya no tenes los comando de Garrison son. Todo repetido y hay oro q los tiene yestan eningles

Has anyone actually seen a 'Swastika' during this show..?
not sure yet
Nazis using Snermans.... :O

Yea a repitition of the 'Dirty Dozen' theme.
