The VT1300 and VTX series are destined to become a thinking man's classic. They will be as collectable as the 1970s K series one day soon and the rarer Sabres and Statelines will be steadily climbing in price also. All 4 models of the VT1300 series are now starting to climb steadily in price here is Aus. US$8K will buy you a low miles minty example. Meanwhile the HD just gets harder to sell and depreciates in value until its 30 years old. Honda is the smart buy.
Just sitting here soaking it the intel on the Fury. A Harley man, that's obvious. But that is what I want !!! I need to know the good the bad and the ugly before I pull the trigger. I'll say it again this "Fury Friday" is a outstanding idea. Keep up the good work.
Well I'm a firm believer, it's not the bike it's the rider that makes the biker. And yes I do like floor boards With the forward controls but I also like a 5 gallon tank
Too bad Harley Davidson couldn’t make a bike equal too the Honda “Chopper” Fury and for same price .. That Chopper Fury won’t match your Road King soft ride and that Road King won’t match the coolness and rolling thunder with right set of pipes of that Honda “ Chopper” Fury.. Fury’s may have limited accessories but add different mirrors , curvy exhaust , air shocks underneath, add sissy and Bam 💥 !!! you have one lean mean chopper machine that rides really nice ..
The best thing for me is that you sit in the Fury, not on top of it. Harley makes nothing like this. I have had a Dyna and Fury and the Fury is better all round.
I have the 2010 sabre.. Basically the Fury with shorter front forks, same drive train.. I put a stage 1 kit in mine, woke that v-twin up! Pulls hard now.. And puts a big smile on your face.. Honda sets these bikes up very lean and with very restrictive exhaust, you just have to uncork them.
I’m 6’6” tall and I just got my 2010 fury registered last week and have about 5 hrs on it. I freaking love it coming from my 2012 NC700x that I had for 7 years. I think* mine came with forward controls, they could be a hair further but it is a very comfortable ride. I also wish it was a 6 speed lol. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing.
As somone who owns a fury and a friend's who own harley. The maintenance cost is at least a 10th of the cost and reliability is 100x more liable. 15k miles on my fury 0 break downs, never needed to to the shop, and only needed to do oil change a d tires. As for two of my friends HD. We all bought our bikes within a month of each other. One within 5k miles clutch burned out and the other, 3 trips to the mechanic 1 for oil leak, 1 engine rebuild since a piston seized after 60miles, and the rotar for the rear where the belt moves the rear tire cracked half way down and destroyed the belt after 1k miles after engine rebuild. Anything American engineered is over priced and unreliable garbage.
Actually the new m8 would run circles around the bike and have not one breakdown with 20000 miles on my 2018 breakout. Sounds like your friend was an idiot lol
Spoken like a true wrench turner. Gotta love a review from that side of things. I liked your input to the video there Josh. Guessing he had his own helmet without a Sena. Think I gotta bring the VTX over and you give Mrs Stevy & your impressions of it compared to the Fury.
Looks like he was comfortable for his height. Maybe those 2” extended forwards are something I should do on the Shadow to stretch me out more. Good video and you got a diagnostic test ride out of it as well. 😂
I do BADLY want a Fury. I love the look but I’m too damn short by about 2 inches (That’s what she said) But I can’t reach the shift lever Soooooo bummed, especially after I learned they take saddle bags pretty well I was worried about the gas tank but that got over 150 mile range so that’s perfect.
why is this that? Is it not good on the freeway? is gearing the issue? I don't want to make a $$$ mistake. I do a lot of 75 mph cruising out west, and do not want an engine to rev more than 50% of the redline for 3 hrs on end. What say you?.
Storm Bowler Jarod is 6’2 and he was comfortable. But, our Fury has 2” extended forward controls. So that’s something to keep in mind but I would think you’d be fine. Best to go sit on one and ride one to be sure though. Thank you for watching.
Well let me give you some forte’ as you put it. Nothing compares to metric bikes when it comes to reliability. Most Harley’s would be a rusting rotting hulk by the time this bike reached its elder years so to speak! Not even comparable. But at least the name Harley costs a lot more to own!!!!! Oh yeah and you have a whole lot more of overpriced aftermarket products you can blow your money on also!😂 oh well, you do you!
I like how you put the notes on the tank

Love my Fury! Warm it up a bit before you take off. Maintenance? Check oil, check tire pressure, gas n go. Lol
Worry about valves?

Joe Dunbar thank you Joe! That’s why we do it!

A harley guy trying so hard not to like the fury
I've owned 5 harleys n 1 Honda Fury n I'll never own another harlay
Stop trying to sell Harleys on the fury! You’re off of work 😂
Lol. It’s been his life for 15 years. Stopping isn’t easy. 😂

I absolutely loved my VTX1800 R/S
Love my 02 1800S .
I am waiting for a FURY with a VTX 1800 Engine in it.
I had a VTX1800 in '05
great bike
I have a 2010 fury and never have problems on it . Looks good, good price and very reliable .
I have the 2010 sabre..

Cool,that was nice :D
Damn u guys sure have a lot of long open roads like that 😮
So that's what Nebraska looks like
Nebraska varies from one side to the other. And from top to bottom. Out west is the Sandhills. The middle is very flat and the east side I hills.
I’m 6’6” tall and I just got my 2010 fury registered last week and have about 5 hrs on it.

Totally love my honda CB 125

Does it drive anyone else crazy? How he's constantly keeping fingers on the clutch.
Yea that's sports bike stuff
Looks like he was comfortable for his height. Maybe those 2” extended forwards are something I should do on the Shadow to stretch me out more. Good video and you got a diagnostic test ride out of it as well. 😂
TWOWHEELD 👍😂
Anti-lock brakes rock
Yep thinking he is on his way to go buy one. 🤔 looks like you guys had a good day.
Not really worthwhile feedback from someone only having owned 2 bikes....test rides don’t count. Also, doesn’t the Fury have indicators?
Yes it does.
I do BADLY want a Fury.
I love the look but I’m too damn short by about 2 inches

But I can’t reach the shift lever
Soooooo bummed, especially after I learned they take saddle bags pretty well

That sucks. I know the shifter has a little bit of adjustability but I don’t know how much. That is what she said. 😂
A Harley guy talking about price ? (Price range😂)
Right! Like Harley guys have any room to talk about price? Them and their 30,000 dollar electric bike.
How does anyone buy a Fury if no dealers have them?
Nice bike but the 5 spd is a deal killer for me
Ya I wish it was a 6 Speed also.

Hey Stevy, so I'm planning on getting a fury soon, just curious how comfortable you think itd be for a tall rider, I'm 6'5
Storm Bowler Jarod is 6’2 and he was comfortable. But, our Fury has 2” extended forward controls. So that’s something to keep in mind but I would think you’d be fine. Best to go sit on one and ride one to be sure though. Thank you for watching.
I'm 6ft and have looong legs. I have floorboards which are great for everything
I’m 6’5 230lbs and I love my fury. People have told me I look a little too big for it but I don’t feel that way when I’m on it.
I own. Mostly honda and Harley, so from what I've seen fury is the honda built for a harleys owner
needs a lot of cool parts.
lol following the script taped to the tank?
Sure he likes Harleys better that's where his paycheck comes from
maintainence check oil change oil n filter check n change battery break's n tires lol easy peasy
Ever do valve checks?
