Birds in My Garden, Feeding & Building Nests!

- Welcome Gardeners! This morning while looking out my window I noticed all these birds in my garden feeding and building nests. Scrub Jays in my flower pots taking nesting material for their nests and House Finches feeding from the bird feeders. I couldn't imagine my garden without pretty birds and thank God every day He brings them to my garden for me to enjoy!

Oh how sweet...nest building time. Your garden attracts such lovely birds. They must love the color, available water and nest building materials. It must feel secure for them to. They enjoy your peaceful setting just like we do.❤

Wow, Scrub Jays, they are becoming endangered in my area, occasionally I do see them but none have nested as far as I know. I have plenty of Blue Jays - so pretty. They've decided that the Jasmin tree is perfect for nesting since it is so dense whenever it gets too crowded in the Viburnum bushes. They have grown big and plump from all the habitat goodness that I've been planting. I'm with you Liz in that I plan for the birds and every other critter whenever I can. I've discovered that the palms we have produce the right nesting materials. I have to say you ended up with perfect video clarity even out of your window. We had a perfect Easter and today we worked in the garden all day - perfect weather for gardening and projects. I'm so happy with this year's spring garden. Not to mention having a partner who enjoys the garden and critters as much as I do and lets me plan and design it any way I want. Happy Easter and Happy Gardening to you, Liz.
Oh Rose how nice that you were bale to spend time in the garden on Easter!!! And Yes my Palm trees are also providing nesting material for the birds! I think my ScrubJays are nesting on the neighbors roof behind their satellite dish. Too funny!. Yes Rose I too am happy with the Spring season so far. This reminds me of my grandma. She had a kitchen table by her window that looked out onto her patio. She had all kinds of plants and feeders. She loved watching the birds come to visit her. So sweet of you to share your coconut liners with the birds. I need to replace mine. I like your idea of leaving some out for the birds. Think I will copy you and leave the old ones for the birds. It’s always such a pleasure to see what you are doing in your garden ❤

Beautiful!! I have a pair of Scrub Jays that visit my back patio every day for peanuts....and sometimes just to socialize, it seems! Scrub Jays are so smart and funny!
