So great to hear, what a nice gift 🙂. Have you seen the BBQ apron video, I've made allot of them for gifts. Fun to create a themed gift around it. Here's the link, there is a pattern too. ruclips.net/video/OOP0N1xKPjY/видео.html
@@FutureFashionDesigners well I just finished my apron. It’s not 100% perfect but I was able to make one. 😀 I kept having trouble with the backstitch. My fabric kept moving bc at times I forgot to put the foot lever (forgot what its called) back down. Overall simple to follow. It’s just me getting used to sewing. I definitely want to make more, maybe a slight bigger.
I really appreciate you taking the time to write to me and give me advice about the DIY apron for my friend. Thank you so much. I live in Victoria , Melbourne and we don’t have that fabric store here but I may go on EBay and see if I can source some. I have a lovely sewing/craft room with every conceivable tool, ribbons, lace card stock and embellishments to be very creative but had a second knee replacement on the same knee in 14 months and the pain has been excruciating 24/7 so I need inspiration from your wonderful videos and sense of humour to start creating because my machine has a button on it so I don’t have to use my foot pedal which is the painful leg so I can sew handsfree and it automatically cuts the thread at the end and of course it has an automatic threader which I have had on all my previous machines and can’t live without it. I’ve always stuck with Janome computerized machines because I know them best of all and my overlocker/surger is Janome too and they have never broken down and I’ve been able to sell my old ones to put towards my next one. I have a friend who services them too who has a shop so it’s very convenient. I also collect all sorts of miniature sewing machines to decorate the shelves in my craft room and adorn it with all sorts of positive affirmation signs. You have inspired me to get creative again so thank you once again. Just LOVE your videos and thank you so much for sharing your inspiration and knowledge in a fun way. Good luck with your new machine and I look forward to more of your videos. Much love. Joani from Australia 🇦🇺🙏🏻❤️🤗
Ha you are a strange & cute person. This is so perfect for what i was looking for--i kept looking up "half apron" toots but this little 'toolbelt' is exactly what i wanted, THANK YOU FUNNY LADYYYYYYYY!!!!!
Waiting Tables!!!!!! This a must have for any waiter. Love that jumbo bias tape! How have I missed that? I think I always thought it was blanket binding tape. Thanks I needed this once over and good pattern dimensions.
Yes, perfect for waiters! Maybe you can make them in fun colors😊 and sell them. Isn't it strange how labeling something for a use, keeps us from thinking we can use it for something else. If you're making multiples, hobby lobby has a great price on bias tapes, great to stock up when they have their half off sale on sewing supplies 😉
Thank you so much for sharing. I have a friend who is more DIY do you think it would be suitable? Not for a hammer obviously but maybe measure tape, nails, screwdriver etc I’m definitely making mine for sewing. I’ve just invested a lot in a high end Janome computerized embroidery machine to update from my previous one. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 and love your fabric. I’ve been to our huge haberdashery store but was unable to find any. I did have some similar material with all sewing notions on but I used it to cover a cushion in my sewing room and I don’t have enough left unfortunately. Thanks again and I am following you and subscribing because I really find you have a lovely personality which is uplifting and you make us feel like we can achieve anything, even though I’m not a first time sewer but I always believe that you can learn new tricks, all through sewing life 😊🙏🏻🌸💖🌺 🧵 ✂️🪡
Hi Joani Thank you for your lovely comment and nice words 😀. It's always nice to hear that I have inspired someone! I found the cute sewing fabrics at Joann's fabrics. If you have a nice fabric but it is too lightweight for your friends DIY apron, you could always use innerfacing. It would definitely work for DIY tools. And you could always put a loop on the waistband for a hammer! And congrats in your new sewing machine! I am considering buying a new Pfaff machine this week. I have always just used very basic machines and have always wanted a Pfaff for some reason. Not the fancy embroidering ones, they are way too complicated for me! What part of Australia are you in?
You would want to sew it down from end-to-end otherwise it would open up. Also another easy way to add a band is to use a one inch or 1 1/2 inch grograin ribbon instead of the bias tape.
Have you heard about our Fashion Sewing Retreat? It's coming up soon! 😃 Sept 14-17th 2022. www.CampSewSocial.com 😎
I’m love the energy! 😂 I clicked to learn but I stayed to laugh 🤍🤍
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊. I hope your apron turns out well!!

So glad it was helpful! I try to keep them short, but sometimes you just gotta cover the basic stuff! Hope your aprons came out well!
I made several for gifts; they loved them.

What part of Australia are you in?
What is the name of the fabric that you're using? It's beautiful!
Hi Pamela
The apron fabric is just one of the novelty cottons from JoAnn's. They always have a lot of fun prints :)
Do you sew the bias tape all the way down from end to end? Or do you leave it open on the parts not connected to the apron?
You would want to sew it down from end-to-end otherwise it would open up. Also another easy way to add a band is to use a one inch or 1 1/2 inch grograin ribbon instead of the bias tape.
Where is the pattern for downloading?
The link is in the description below the video. If you already added your email check your junk mail. YW
Love it
thank you! Might be a great apron for your projects!
It would be perfect for crafting
I'm making this now! Did I miss how long the bias tape is?
Yay! You just have to measure the bias tape on yourself. Give enough room if you want to make a bow in the back.
Where did you find your Material with Sewing Items on it? Thank you!
At Joann's fabrics, they have a nice selection in their novelty cotton section.
I can’t find the pattern
