    As someone who has suffered from this for years to the point where I found it hard to even sleep because of pain it is frustrating! I have been trying your last two stretches in this video and I'm also just beginning to start a general resistance band workout covering all my muscle groups and I am so happy that the pain in my leg is subsiding. Thank you Dr. Kristie for covering this topic!

The standing against a wall if your leaned one way I didn't think I was, I took my shift off and stood in front of a long mirror my Wife has. To my surprise its not very much but I am shifted to the right, there is less distance between my forearm and hip on right side and more space on left, My pain is on the left so I am going to be doring that exercise to see if I ccan get myself re centered.

    Boy Kristie, I think my disc might have been ruptured as badly as it hurt for me. I'd never have been able to do any of those movements, but one of the movements did get me feeling better. It's called "clam shells" and what happened to me was that I sneezed my back out of joint, then collapsed twice as bad as I felt. I was diagnosed after a CT Scan as herniated, but only because I was consious. I'm half way certain I was ruptured, tiger. Discs re-absorb their insides and mild use does help the process for certain. Within 3 months of physical therapy my pain was gone, so.

    Hi Dr. Ennis. Great video and all of your other videos are too. I have a question. I have a weird injury to my tail bone. It is either congenital or an old injury and the tailbone never fused or healed back correctly so it pinches a nerve and causes pain in my right buttock. There is no rhyme or reason to what causes the pinch or the pain that I can figure out. I get a cortisone shot for it once a year and when that wears off the pain comes back. Do you have any stretch or exercise suggestions for the tailbone area that you think might help that I could try. I'd like to try stretching or strengthening and not get the cortisone shot. If there is a video you have already made that you think might help I would love to watch it. Thanks for your time.

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  2 года назад

      An MRI would show disc but not an x-ray. Also, even if it shows up on an MRI, it doesn’t mean that is the problem unless it correlates with your symptoms. Many people have bulging discs that aren’t causing any issue at all!
      If you have a lumbar L4-L5 or L5-S1 disc issue, some possible symptoms are back pain, leg pain in the back of the leg possibly to the foot, weakness in those same muscles, and reflex changes. This is a good one to get diagnosed in person if you are unsure.
