Excellent sharp video with great detail. This is the neatest looking Snell knot I've seen. There are a million ways to tie a one, but this not only looks better, but also more secure. Thanks for posting this.

Great Video. Well Shot. I Snelled up a whole pack of Hooks today. This method is going to save Me some Cash, No more buying Pre-Snelled Hooks. Thank You.

This is great for when I'm tying extras, like now, for my weekend trips. When I'm out on the water though, I do it the easy way. It's quicker and holds just as well, but this way looks and feel nicer. Thanks for the great Vid.

Its basically the old nail knot just on the hook eye. Pretty neat, you can actually pull this off without a straw by just using a loop from the opposite tag end. You feed the end of the end of the "reel side" tag back through the loop made and then give it a tug to pull it back through the barrel. Nicely done, good how-to.

WELL DONE, perfect video. I've been looking for a way to get the line to go the full length of the knot, very crafty concept. Can't thank you enough.

That tube idea is great. Clean and sexy like. And some one has commented before about a stir stick. That would translate to small line well. Nice post.

I learned to tie the snell without the tube but when your out on the boat getting the crap kicked out of you the tube is brilliant. I usually simply use the Palomar when its rough but i do like the Snell.

That's a very nice snell. There are a few other ways that's easier but doesn't produce as good of a snell as this method. I'm going to copy this method to prep some rigs for bigger fish.

Excellent way to snell. I believe if you tighten the knot before the eye with a light line say 6 to 10 lb. then pull to the eye you'll stress the line or perhaps break it. Sliding the knot down to the eye then tighten would be my suggestion. Great clip though. I'll be visiting Dunken Doughnut's soon.
