    Do the Imperfections come from gas that is dissolved in the water? In that case try boiling the water first, as the amount of gas that can dissolve in a fluid drops a lot with increasing temperature. I hope you read this, would love to see the most clear Ice crystals without any nipp...imperfections ;)

    I've had good luck using distilled water in cartoon character molds (from kids plastic molds for clay) sprayed with either nonstick cooking spray or a light coating of olive oil. I also printed out Care Bears, Star Wars, and Star Trek molds for chocolate, candies, and ice cubes in the shapes of the ships. Again, coating the molds with oil or cooking spray before use keeps everything in one piece.

  • @kodizzie3827
    @kodizzie3827 7 лет назад

    Taras, using boiled water will get better results than straight from the tap, or even better results if you use reverse osmosis filtered or even distilled water. The cleaner water freezes at a lower temperature, but the ice is always flawless when I do it that way. All of your ice moulds will probably make perfect ice this way, even in the parts you throw away.

    to get clear ice , or make clear ice cubes - use BOILED water , allow it to cool down then use in ice tray . the boiling removes the oxygen and stops it being cloudy

  • @williamdelaire9908

    The cloudiness is probably caused by chlorine gas dissolved in the water. You should let the water sit out overnight then tap the device to release the gas bubbles

    I can't say i've done this, but I've seen when people make ice sculptures, to make them clear, they gently go over it with something like a torch or blow dryer, the way you would if you were using a lighter to shrink heat-shrink tubing.

    Have you tried using the square cube from this gadget in your Japanese Ice Ball maker that you showed in another video? I bet those would come out perfect!

    Hey, I wonder if you would have better results with the gadgets if you used purified water or bottled water?? you should do a part two with that hypothesis...👍👍💯😁✌

    Could liquid nitrogen create clear ice balls in little time?
    Would distilled water always be clear?

    For best results boil the water let it cool then boil the water again let it cool and then freeze. Boiling once also works but boiling the same water twice gets a better result
