The 'sandwich' cutter is actually a pastry cutter
The cutter you used for the sandwich is really meant for cutting and sealing pastry dough, and the egg poacher thing I bet was used for separating the yolk from the whites!
The sandwich cutter was probably for something like a PB&J rather than a tuna sandwich.
They're for making uncrustables.

And as you can see they don't make things with such high quality these days. Back in the day gadgets were made from very hard and good quality wood or Metal, these days they are made from cheap plastics.

Not only that, but look at cars these days. Most cars are mostly plastics or fiberglass, or materials like that. Back older cars from back in the day were made from very hard steel or metal. Everyone knows that.
Thetechgenius plastics are a cheap materiel but sometimes they can be more useful then using metal. Like for example, cars are lighter and more fuel efficient

The last 2 where not only used wrong but they where also used for the wrong thing, The so called sandwich cutter is actually a stuffed pastry cutter you have one thin layer of pastry then you put a small mount of filling be it sweet or savoury then another layer of pastry then you use the lower part of the cutter to slide through the pastry around the filling then once you have cut through both layers you press down on the plunger part and it seals the pastry( you do not twist it). The last one is not an egg poacher its quite simply an egg boiler where you put the egg still in its shell into the basket and the basket serves to keep the egg away from the bottom of the pan and also hold them in the centre for consistent cooking and also make it easy to remove them.

Yes, produce today is often genetically modified to be larger than is natural. So in the past lemons, most certainly fruits like apples were smaller. Still are if you get them organic.
Or maybe the ones you get at stores all filled with chemicals to make them grow faster and bigger.
I know i see here at apples, the ones at the farms or open fields are half the size (fully grown) of the ones at the stores.

To make a poached egg the right way you need to add a small amount of vinegar to the water. It works by congealing the surface of the egg and keeps the whole egg together

The last gadget, you should boil the eggs for about 7 minutes inside of the shells. It's just a way to not have to grab out the eggs out of the hot water.
