If a diesel car has low miles and never really driven on motorways roughly how many miles would you start to see DPF problems ie build up?

Jimmy I know you said once you've cleaned it once it's not worth a second time but? is it possible on that old of a DPF with some ash accumulation, and plugged pretty solid with soot (plus maybe some oil) that the DPF cleaner solution just can't get deep enough into the DPF on the first try. (only soaks halfway in) ???

how much soot is "okay" when you do the tailpipe swipe test to determine a cracked dpf? absolutely nothing at all clean, or jsut a bit of soot is okay?

Soot on a Euro 5 or older is not too concerning to me. Euro 6 seem to suffer more from it and only Euro 6 have a particle matter sensor to detect soot after the DPF

I would just like to ask you how can someone tell if the dpf has been deleted when checking live data ? I have a jaguar xe that has a black tail pipe so someone obviously has cleaned it out but its now saying dpf full on the cluster but 0 hpa differential pressure at idle. Many thanks and great video.

Pretty much that... DPF delete usually has tell tale smoke coming out too. On 220k mile Peugeot, my tailpipe chrome is still shining!

What's the point of the filter if you just burn it off out the exhaust anyway?

Cleanly burning the stored soot to a small amount of ash, is far better than releasing the soot particles into the air.

@@bills6093Oh I see the soot is comverter to carbon dioxide and ash. The carbon black in soot is 1500 times worse than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. Makes sense. Plus all the nanoparticles in diesel now, better to trap in the filter hopefully. The stuff is terrible.
