So the baby gets to see and hear it all. That's one of the reasons we have so many toxic children with mental health issues going to prison at young ages. Growing up in NYC in the 70s and 80s, I've never seen this stuff firsthand. We only knew something happened. Our parents didn't expose us to grown-up situations intentionally. They would leave us with a family, friend, or neighbor. I didn't expose my son to that stuff either. He's 28 and has never seen a dead person on the street while living in NYC. And I taught him to walk away from people fighting, not towards the fight. Anything could have happened while that baby is out there. Bullets don't have a specific target. Everyone is a target.
The prison reforms under the Obama administration and then George Floyd set the course of our country to where we are today.

I use to go to that chicken spot after work to eat and to talk with the guys who work there. I stopped going there because it's a very shady block, and right around the corner from there is where that girl who worked at burger king was shot.

I be in that area a lot. I live in East Harlem 106th Madison Avenue and sometimes walk through their to do some FOOD shopping and CLOTHES shopping. Can't go nowhere without somebody trying to take ya life

The most unsafe place I have ever visited was Harlem NYC.
