Actually Burstbucker Pros are even lower output than 57 Classics. They are made to imitate old magnets in old 50s and 60s bursts. The hottest in GIbson range I believe are 500T and Dirty Fingers ceramics. BB Pros are still a bit hotter than alnico single coils from Fender, but not by much. Finally the Standard is back where we all wanted it. A lesson for Gibson, is that younger guitarists don't all think that new and 'improved' is always better either. Congrats on the Axe, put it to good use :P
Best sounding, playing and looking Les Paul's out there IMO. Locking tuners are a must on any guitar IMO. Put the Standard on the plate bcz it is a standard. There's 50 Standards, 60's Standards and these standard Pluses. Gorgeous guitars.
I LOVE these. Im glad they are keeping some of the innovative stuff. The coil taps on my 2016 are awesome. Ultimately my perfect les paul would be all these modern features but with no weight relief
I bought the burgundy model and I'm in love!!! Should put a volute on it. The extra wood would not only protect both the upper neck and headstock, but would also add a bit more esthetic to the overall guitar, and more tonal quality too. Btw, mighty fine pickin' Chillun'!🙂
Chris B well yeah but the neck joint thing looks weird and kinda like a structural weak spot to me. I Could be wrong though. Well, enough models to satisfy everyone I suppose

I agree with Pete on the pick guard. They should leave it in the case as an optional item. I also preferred that last HP model nick carve. It seemed more refined. Belly carve was great on the last one as well. Still great to offer this more “modern” option though.
It’s good that the fretboard material is Ebony and not Richlite - a definite improvement over the previous moderns (although the outgoing 2019 Standard’s Rosewood was also a good fretboard).
I still love a burst. Blueberry Burst was lovely looking imo. Modern colours in bursts are great too. I hope it does come back one day… even if only on the Moderns.
I though Pete was going to break into a little Marvin Gaye @10:05... Whoooo let's get it on.... Anywho... these videos have been legendary just for the jams and licks, much less the new eye candy! Great series on the new LP models (restructure really) and the jam out was a perfect match to my profile pic! ✌🏼
