The look of pride on Pete’s face in the opening minute while he’s watching Lee play is awesome.

I've saved the past year to get the Tangerine but then, very sadly, Eddie passed away. I walked into Sam Ash the day after and jokingly asked "you guys got the EVH Frankenstein "? Reply, "Yeah, one left in the glass case". Back to zero $ now. Gotta start saving all over.

By far the best Les Pauls to own. Still kinda almost on the verge of affordable, and play and sound like a dream.. My own is a 2009 100% maple with 57s ;) blue metal something color, just a beast.

Very impressive guys the beginning was awesome. Very soulful Capt.
About the weight thing......I never understood the problem.
I play 4 or 5 times a week with an 83 Strat that ways 10.5 pounds. I actually don't prefer lite guitars, they feel cheaper to me.
    Just my 2 cents.

LPs typically don't stay in tune on stage long enough for the weight to get to you before you'll want to change guitars.
I'm 5'10" 160lb and I've played a 20 minute set of 5 tunes w/ just one (9-hole relieved, 9.1 lbs) LP deluxe several times, but wouldn't prefer to do that again. More to do with the G-string's tuning stability. Usually had to delay everyone after the first 2-3 songs for 10-15sec to get it back in tune. The weight only gets to me at rehearsals after 2+ hrs of standing with it on.

If you order a Tribute model in Honeyburst, expect the colour to be fairly close to the LP lurking in the background on this vid, NOT the lemon/blonde colour that the website/advertising/promotional blurb would suggest.
Got mine a couple of days back and couldn't be happier!
Great setup, superb playability and excellent finish all round.
Normally a Fender player, but this really turned my head.
For all those that reckon Epiphone LP's stand up to Gibsons.... Not these latest bunch, not by a long stretch.

More incredible artistry by Pete, so effortlessly finding the right thing to play and then absolutely killing it. "The Dane" for me (go to 25:37) is not the pedal - it's Pete.

Loved to video! Mostly because of the playing, but the guitars were all kinds of nice too! 😏 I can feel my resistance to getting a LP dwindling everyday! Love the look of both the Black and Tangerine Studios. Might have to go and actually lay hands on them.

Lee, the date the guitar was made is in the serial number. Gibson went back to their traditional method of serial numbering used from about 1977 to about 2014. They use a 9 digit number. Number’s 1 and 5 is the year, number’s 2, 3 and 4 is the day of the year the guitar was made. Number 6 is the batch, and 7, 8 and 9 is the number produced in the batch. So, to simplify, if you want to know the year now, read number 1 and 4. Googling the day of the year would probably be easier than counting to get the exact day made. 8)

Picked up one of the Tangerine Burst studios. Killer guitars with that solid Les Paul sound. Does everything I need a Les Paul to do, and they look pretty great too. Just can't justify nearly double the price for a fancier maple cap and extra body binding on a Standard.

Smokin' hot 490's. Killer fretboard. Ultra-modern weight relief. Its got all the specs that I want. Thanks for this awesome review. God bless you dear brothers "accross the pond." 1) Buy Studio in Cherry Burst
    2) Carefully paint a white stripe on the body to emulate binding
    3) Polish the satin finish to a slight shine.
    4) be happy ever after
(I don’t really like binding on necks, but I think a les Paul looks odd without body binding)
