I have a 2013 Studio (wine red) from Andertons as a 30th birthday present. I had played a Les Paul Standard before and had not been a fan of the weight and balance (lack thereof). I was amazed when I opened the case, took out the Studio and realised how much lighter and better balanced it was. An absolute joy to play, oodles of power, beautiful tone, and looks sexy as hell.

There is also the little brother Studio Tribute ($929), almost exact specs to the one Danish Pete is playing without as much flair, but still with the same great playability. I have the Studio Tribute in Satin Iced Tea, and I have loved every minute of owning it. Mine has the dots on the fingerboard, which I like. Great wood and looks, with fantastic sound and sustain. The Gibson gig bag that comes with the Studio Tribute is of amazing quality. It is a pleasure to hear and play it. It is a bit nicer than my Studio Tribute, and sometimes I wish that I had bought the Tribute. But when I pick up mine and start playing it all is well.
I played a Tribute tonight, and aside from a few sharp edges here and there on the fretboard, found it was absolutely fantastic. I may have to add one to the roster! To me, these *are* truly Less Pauls, as in, less money for the same Paul! And I *love* the Maple neck!
Just got my first Les Paul Tribute in Tobacco burst after playing Fenders for 20 years. The tribute is beautiful and sounds amazing. The volume knobs are so effective at going from clean to filthy. Great playing in this video guys!
When I was 14, I remember going to get my first full sized electric guitar. I was playing the epiphone standard I still have today and I still vividly remember the older customers there warning me of the horrors of what a Les Paul will do to your back. Shoulder is a little stiff, but I still don't know what they were on about.
Ive got mine about half a year now and i love it so much. Yes, there are guitars out there for this price with locking tuners and stuff like that, but this looks sound and feels soooo good. If you looking for a les paul guitar for around 1000 bucks, i think this is the way to go. This is my fourth guitar now and i defintily can say, that this guitar inspires me the most and makes the most fun whule playing it. In my opinion a really good step in the right direction for gibson guitars

LPs typically don't stay in tune on stage long enough for the weight to get to you before you'll want to change guitars. I'm 5'10" 160lb and I've played a 20 minute set of 5 tunes w/ just one (9-hole relieved, 9.1 lbs) LP deluxe several times, but wouldn't prefer to do that again. More to do with the G-string's tuning stability. Usually had to delay everyone after the first 2-3 songs for 10-15sec to get it back in tune. The weight only gets to me at rehearsals after 2+ hrs of standing with it on.

I always watch Anderton's videos because of how fun and interesting they are but this one made me want a Les Paul Tribute. Now to find the £999 haha! Great jam at the beginning too, such an amazing sound. I want that too! Thank you to all involved in this video.
Lee, the date the guitar was made is in the serial number. Gibson went back to their traditional method of serial numbering used from about 1977 to about 2014. They use a 9 digit number. Number’s 1 and 5 is the year, number’s 2, 3 and 4 is the day of the year the guitar was made. Number 6 is the batch, and 7, 8 and 9 is the number produced in the batch. So, to simplify, if you want to know the year now, read number 1 and 4. Googling the day of the year would probably be easier than counting to get the exact day made. 8)
Picked up one of the Tangerine Burst studios. Killer guitars with that solid Les Paul sound. Does everything I need a Les Paul to do, and they look pretty great too. Just can't justify nearly double the price for a fancier maple cap and extra body binding on a Standard.
I laughed so much watching you guy's. Y'all are awesome there at Andertons. As of 02/25/2022, i'm the happy owner of a satin cherry sunburst tribute. I'm so happy with it. Very chunky. Smokin' hot 490's. Killer fretboard. Ultra-modern weight relief. Its got all the specs that I want. Thanks for this awesome review. God bless you dear brothers "accross the pond." Cheers from Texas!☺💜👍
You guys are firing on all cylinders and Gibson is making some good moves. Really liking the jam stylings for this rollout. Vids are great as usual. Good stuff Gents!
1) Buy Studio in Cherry Burst 2) Carefully paint a white stripe on the body to emulate binding 3) Polish the satin finish to a slight shine. 4) be happy ever after (I don’t really like binding on necks, but I think a les Paul looks odd without body binding)

Loved to video! Mostly because of the playing, but the guitars were all kinds of nice too! 😏 I can feel my resistance to getting a LP dwindling everyday! Love the look of both the Black and Tangerine Studios. Might have to go and actually lay hands on them.
Again, awesome playing guys! ✌🏼
closing jam was awesome. nice to hear the clean tones as well in the beginning.
Great jam guys 👍👌💪. Maybe time to release a record on Andertones Records?
what is the opening they are playing it sounds great wow
Very impressive! Please make how to sound like scorpions without busting the bank! Thank you!
Yess clicked right into a concert in the beginning, both have some awesome tunes!!
Pete was groovin' in this video. 👍
Picked up one of the Tangerine Burst studios. Killer guitars with that solid Les Paul sound. Does everything I need a Les Paul to do, and they look pretty great too. Just can't justify nearly double the price for a fancier maple cap and extra body binding on a Standard.
Mayer and Pete on the mug, lol
That tangerine Studio is awesome wow
That intro jam though...
Not the correct use of the word though
1) Buy Studio in Cherry Burst
2) Carefully paint a white stripe on the body to emulate binding
3) Polish the satin finish to a slight shine.
4) be happy ever after
(I don’t really like binding on necks, but I think a les Paul looks odd without body binding)
I would buy a Captain/Pete Jam album.
This needs to happen. Can have the Dorje guys guest on a tune or two, but Pete and Cap are easily the best duo chemistry-wise.
@ 5:14, not mentioned but....a carved top...not flat :)
(I own one, but you can tell by the light shining on the Captains LP)
