this was American Idol's high point; nothing before and nothing after has affected me as much as this short performance by Chris. Loved Fuel and he made me love them more. Awesome.
Chris Daughtry has a great voice and he does a great remake of this song, although nothing can beat the original Fuel song. Still, keep on rocking, Daughtry!
I remember when this first aired, even then you knew, you were like what? This did not just happen, am I at a professional rock concert? He was just so polished and amazing, definitely one of my favorite Idol performances ever, and I've watched all 8 seasons. He was just phenomenal, and this isn't even the finals when they are in the better theater, this is like still in the dinky studio, just raw talent.
He has a huge career even without winning!! It was a blessing that he got the exposure and then the opportunity to choose how his career is going to go! Love, Love, Love Chris :)

Every time I see this video it blows my mind he didn't win. I never cared for this song much, but when I saw this video I really liked it. Crazy how a guy this good doesn't win, and the two losers who were 1st and 2nd were able to beat him.
What I love about Chris's voice, it's edgy, but has a beautiful tone underneath it all, and ofcourse, a great range, this is the recipe of the ultimate rock voice! I'm SO happy he's enjoying so much success despite not landing the "idol" crown, He deserves it!

To all people comparing Daughtry's rendition of this song to the original Fuel, please remember this video was recorded in studio with all the "kinks" ironed out to leave only perfect sound whereas Chris gave it out live with nothing but his voice. I say put Chris in a studio to record this song it would come out amazing...
fuel is a great band and chris daughtry is a great artist himself...to why or how they lost their singer im not aware of but who wouldnt want his talent? hes obviously a good singer

His is honestly the first and only CD that I love every song on it. Most are just one or two songs if your lucky. On this, each of them is awesome!
