Chris Daughtry is one of the most natural talented singers ever on American Idol; I still don't understand to this day how he lost the Season 5 competiton to Taylor Hicks but I'm so glad that it worked out for his good because his career is far more successful than not only Taylor but some of the other American Idol winners as well... Chris Daughtry rocks!!
This man's distortion technique is fantastic - very supported and resonant while still getting that grit and power needed for this song. Wonder how he is doing now - he was one of the show's more distinctive singers!

I always thought, people should vote for whom they dont want. The voting is get as many votes as you can in a time frame, or limited to 10 per person etc etc. So, it in turn becomes, how many votes will I put in? Coincidentally, when he was voted off that year, that was the last episode I watched. I knew they would never get it right. I watch 'the voice.' More accurate.

Can't believe this was nearly 10 years ago! Like many people, I was devastated after he was eliminated from the show and used to stay up late for the results. That summer, my Dad got awesome seats to the Top 10 tour for Season 5 and I still clearly remember my favorite performance: Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin dueting "Savin' Me" by Nickelback!
Daughtry is such a great vocalist. David Cook said that he learned from Chris before he went on and won season 7. Simon, Bon Jovi is still popular, they can still sell out a stadium, and there's that tiny little thing called the R&R HOF, CLASS OF 2018!!! Keep singing hris, I haven't heard you in awhile,

Still come back about 3 times a year to watch his AI clips! He is amazing and I still to this day don't understand how he didn't win AI.
