Sweet piece bro! I liked your other video too on the P1. I was set on getting the P1 and while I was saving up and finally had the money I sorta decided I think I really like the way the grips look on the FPv2 I like the thumb wheels too. You have a killer collection of wheels! Keep on racin!
@radius2372 thanks alot bro, I'm with on that 1, the P1 of course, won't let you down but I gotta admit when you 1st power up that FPEv2 it easily stole the show for me, great led layout thumb encoders are at the perfect spot and gets the job done without leaving you want for more. You'll be happy with your selection. But the design of the P1 does give a more confident feeling grip with the smaller thumb holes at the top.
Love the improvements to the FPE V2. The V1 had way too many drawbacks for the price. It looked good and that was it. Fanatec got the buttons and rotary encoders right for $300 on the Formula wheel. All GSI had to do back then was copy Fanatec. Also, it's better to compare weight between the two wheels after you have attached the hub and quick release. It's surprising how much weight those things add to a wheel.
Yepp, fanatec haven't released an f1 wheel with a full dash, so GSI got some of that market at least, they took the proceeds and improved . Yeah, the quick release adds a bit of weight, good note.
I am in the same boat as you. I liked my chunky v1 grips. My initial experience with my v2 has been downplayed by the lack of feel from the new grips. My review will come out soon. Thanks for the video!
@@ahmadmahr1100 it took me a while to get used to the V2 but I can tell you that I am very happy with the V2. I have not had an opportunity to film a follow up video as of yet. Stay tuned
Nice unboxing! Can’t wait to receive mine. I went Blackout theme but this is making me doubt my selection haha. Can you click/push the thumb encoders? Trying to figure out my button mapping.
Thanks, I'm excited for you. The colors just add a slight flair when powered off, but the real beauty hits when you plug it in, and all the programmable LEDs are on to add your own flair, so you are not missing anything. NO! the thumb encoders just rotate up and down.
Hey man, more than one is not necessary, I lean towards my Hyper P1 for formula style cars it flows with my imagination and the FPEv2 I'll do more Le Mans/indycar... only because I have both. However, if I had to choose one, I'd probably go the FPEV2 even though it has less buttons/encoders. It's a great all-around wheel that checks all the boxes and holds a neutral feel for all styles of racing, but not to take away from the Hyper P1 it's their flagship wheel, this is just my opinion but they both feel great in the palm of my hands.
Congrats on the wheel! I love the smaller grips going from the chunky ones and agree w what you said! Feels more premium

Thanks for the video man! I'm considering getting the FPE2 too, currently using the FPE1 - mainly for the thumbs encoders!
No problem, I know it's a tough decision to make, we all wished the OG FPE had thumb encoders.
Change the batteries on your smoke detector man lol
cant afford after buying the wheel xD
keeping the stereotype alive lol

Nicee, no problem, enjoy them
I like the chunky grips as well and the width because I'm tall with big hands. What did you think about the differences? Your video out yet?

@richdelmazzio9890 What about it specifically took a while to adapt too? Was it some negative difference or just adapting to the layout?
How are so many RUclipsrs able to ignore a smoke detector chirp?
if you aren’t black you wont understand 🤣

After couple of months of use, do you prefer a steering wheel with a screen integrated or a steering wheel with a separate Ddu ?
@youngbeliz6177 I prefer separate Ddu because of my upright position in my rig. However if I had f1 seated style I would prefer integrated ddu.
i remember back in the day it wasnt box jut a platic bag lol
Oh yeah lol, they came a long way
How do you compare this to the P1? Can't decide and not enough funds to buy more than 1 wheel.

Thanks. Not what I expected, I expected the P1 to be more versatile.
@phusebox no problem, go for the P1
